Rally Intermediate Stage

For the life of me, I can't compete in the Rally Challenge Intermediate Stage.
I've tried a number of cars, and I always end up with Epic Fail.
I'm obv not a great rally driver to begin with. I have no information to go on and no idea how to race a rally car, it's never something that has interested me or I thought very interesting (no flames please!)

Can someone provide me with detailed, step by step: dealership, tuning, racing instructions.

Any help is appreciated.

This race is #$#$#!!!

If you mess up badly at any stage you have to restart. But for some stupid reason you can't restart at the end of the stage. You have to load the next stage before you see an option to "retire."

You have to leave the challenge and then come back in...rinse and repeat if you fail.

Like the OP I'm not sure if I'm supposed to drift or run it clean. I've tried both. Sometimes I think I've done well and find myself last. It really really frustrating.

An STi '02 with some light mods (intake manifold, racing filter, oil change) with a double plate clutch and lightened flywheel will easily win the rally. Gives you 344hp on the dot and is a very decent piece of machinery. You don't even need suspension mods or any full scale tuning to win this rally.

r34 nur premium, stock engine, stock tranny, stock turbo, fc suspension, clutch flywheel driveshaft, weight mod stage 3, car wash and rims, go, win.

👍

suzuki sx4 rally car at 321bhp, easy peasy.
clio v6 works nice too

just get the top speed low and lighten your cars, also add semi-race flywheel and things like that

I bought the Subaru IMPREZA Rally Car ‘03, $250,000+, and intermediate wasn't too difficult - and I'm not a very good rally driver. The AWD really helps. I just did a oil change (brought the car up to 345 hp - the max allowed), and some minimal tuning. Had a silver-gold-silver on the gravel-snow-asphalt sections. The Impreza was awesome!

Using the same car, stock. Snow & Road were well easy, had a 20 second lead. Going to attempt dirt soon though, but I'm a crap driver, so dont know how that'll go.lol
