Since last week, my computer's been acting up for no reason. It froze once, I restarted, and about an hour later, it crashed on GT's website. It was okay for the rest of the day, then acted up again the day after, wouldn't go into safe mode, then suddenly just worked fine until just now. I was on Tumblr, it froze and bsod'd. Here's what I got from the report,

BCCode: 101
BCP1: 0000000000000031
BCP2: 0000000000000000
BCP3: FFFFF88002FD5180
BCP4: 0000000000000003
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

There's also a weird screeching coming from inside, but it's towards the PSU, away from the HDD's thank god. I tried googling it but most sites just go on and on with stuff I don't understand.

So anyone got an idea?

Do you have Antivirus?
Yeah.
Odd thing is, the 2nd day it acted up, when i rebooted it again, it went straight to windows normally, just Norton ceased to want to work, so I ran MalwareBytes, removed some stuff norton missed, and it worked again.

And for some reason, in the window tray, there's 2 Norton Icons up.

Yeah.

Check my edited post. Also

Norton is bad in general, AVG is much better.

I'll ditch Norton once it runs out this time. I checked that and that actaully sounds possible.

I'm uploading a video of the noise, but vimeo's taking 45min to process it...

But if it's that issue, it's just graphics? Not really HDD related?

Not sure if this is what you guys need, but here's the one from today.

Norton has improved a fair bit.

And recommending a free anti virus with no firewall, a limited database, horrid heuristic scanning, slow scanning is "better" than the more refined norton?

Kaspersky IMO is one of the best paid Antivirus programs out there.

True, Kaspersky is really good.

For free programs, I am not sure. Most people have Avira, but I heard it is very annoying.
