Random Cars in GT4 you just had to tune...

Well, idk if anyone else does this, but I have had the predisposition of buying the most random cars in the game to tune them up. Currently, I've tuned a Honda Element, Odyssey, and an old Civic hatch. I figure, they're present for some reason, so why not? I guess it has something to do with having over 10 million credits to burn, and having the ability to run enduros which pay out the price of the car and its parts. So, anyone else share my obscure hobby?

500R since i saw someone drift it, i only tune w/e i want to drift, the Nike ONe as well

i just happened to win a Mugen Motul Civic and tuned it last 2 weeks, maybe.., looks great for an old car, and the muffler on the side looks cool when it backfires :D (i mean, only a few cars have their muffler on their side) and i also tuned my first car, the Lancer Evo I, and i found it fair enough to add to my "list" :sly:..,

BTW what is idk?? is it a netiquette term for "i don't know" ???

For me? I dunno...

Midget (the original), yup. Honda Life Step Van, yep. Honda Accord Coupe, yup (1988). TODAY G, yep. Oh, and a Toyota SERA for laughs.

Yeah I modify anything really.

I won the Honda S600 race car, and decided to modify it more.

159HP in a car that weighs under 600KG + 10,000rpm redline= Fun.

tell all about it, i love cars that hit 10k rpms..,

I've turned Mitsubishi i-concept into a drifter.. Honda Element and Odyssey as well..

no way .., you really are an addict when it comes to tuning cars..,

I just picked up a Mitsubishi LEGNUM VR-4 Type V recently to tune. I have never noticed it in the used car lot until just recently.

Its a pretty sharp looking wagon. I can't wait to take the time to work on it.

Maybe then I can run it against my Nissan STAGEA that is buried somewhere in my garage.

huh? am I the ONLY one who's tuned the peterpaulandmary out of ALL the Kei and double-lungers? those little buggers can all kick butt when they're tuned up...specially with unlimited moolah ;)
the City is a most definite sleeper.

The City Turbo almost doesn't count...
The Odyssey is a strangely fun car to tune the crap out of, I would say. Especially fun to drive afterwards as well.
I'm also pretty partial to the Corvette C1, which is a major sleeper even in stock form. Once you add more power to make full use of the amazing brakes, it is nigh unstoppable against cars without downforce.

and I like making ugly cars fast :mischievous:

yeah, that's the way..,👍

did you say Kei cars?? read my post "an unlikely story" in the GT4 Race Reports subforum to see who else likes cars that are "small but terrible" and can kick butt:.., :sly::lol:

speaking of Suzukis, i just happened to win a Suzuki CONCEPT S-2 today and tuned it.., it was a worthy addition to my "list".., 👍

I've got a Fiat 500 L tuned to in light blue with yellow wheels and 100bhp. It's great funand only weighs 400kg. I really want to tune a white one and put red wheels on it to look a bit like the Abarth 1000.

Also got a 150bhp Fiat Panda.

I just had to tune both Toyota Prius'. That funky HUD is too much to resist!

Also I had to tune the Jazz, and not put the racing transmission on it. 188mph in 1 gear is very entertaining. D FTW! :P

Daihatsu Sirion CX 4WD (Actually the Storia CX 4WD on my game, as it's NTSC).

Turns out that mafia_boy can't tune for his life (at least 4WD in a straight line) as I pulled an 11.899 within 15 runs down the strip, whereas it's taken him months to do an 11.998.

The Fiat Panda Super 90' is an absolutely awesome car. It handles well...perfectly. It has sharp steering and great brakes. I didn't tune mine much, only ride height and spring rate but I'm sure that if done properly, it can own just about anything. I can already beat Evo's, Skyline's, and STI's with it on the Nurb.

I apologise for the following that will be posted in the next few paragraphs but read on and you can see that I'm not the provoker here, just responding to PM laundry that should've stayed there but has been left out to airdry in public: :grumpy:

Ummm......it was a 2WD model I was working on for the 12sec Sirion (13.004 best time). ;) The 4WD one was a mental brain fart last night thinking that was the 12sec Sirion, because I've got too much crap going on outside of PS2 life....like physiotherapy, medication and other stuff at the moment. I had that 11.998 in 5 minutes and was wondering WTF was up with me?! :dunce:

Besides, those Sirions have been on the shelf for months and months and you only notice them now RJ?? :P Damn, I thought that was you getting off the little yellow bus in the stackhat.

And need I remind you.......YET AGAIN......who's AWD were better than yours in VTC?? Oh, that's right.....EVERYONES MR.7TH PLAAAAAAAACE!!

*sits patiently waiting for predictable comebacks from RJ in 5....4....3.....2......*

BACK TO TOPIC NOW.........I'll tune anything as you can see in the 1/4 mile thread. I've become a no Nitrous freak on the 1/4 as of late, doing things to see how quick they are in real street trim for most of the tuner challenges.....S3 tyres and no TCS at all. ;) It's been fun to say the least, and more challenging to get those 9 and 10sec runs that I've become so accustomed to without even trying when I'm on R5's running a 100 shot of nitrous.
