There is no reason why us consumers would need to test an online function in Prologue before the release of the full game! If we do than it just shows a lack of skill on PD's part. We have had glitch free internet gaming for years now so it is not like it is some new tech that is untested.

As for PD concentrating on the full game, well we could have had Private Rooms, they have just chosen not to give it to us yet. As has been said, private rooms are far from a huge undertaking as the coding to achieve is not that much different to the coding required for a group chat on MSN messenger.

PD are typical of Japanese companies, they often conduct there business in a strange what seems unlogical (to us) way.

I can only imagine the complaints and whiner threads started about people giving the "password" to punters.
You my friend, Have thought way outside of the box. An excelent point.

i can just see the thread now..

WHO IS GIVING THE 🤬 PASSWORD TO THE PUNTERS.

And im sure there would be some people on here who would do this just for kick's

It's sometimes better to try and see things from PD's point of view.

This game is like a massive-scale paid-for beta test. It's easier to test if you restrict game types to the kind of thing you want to test and force people to play together.

They're more than likely just trying to work out the kinks one-at-a-time, or something.

I'm not sure exactly why but I actually had a lot of good races this weekend. I spent pretty much all of Sunday racing online and had a blast. Only got punted once and I really believe it was an accident because the guy slowed down and let me take the spot back. We even continued to have a really heated race for the remainder of the race.

I got my first experience with GTP_TwistyBits and let me tell you now that he is REALLY fast. I'll blame a little of it on my under-tuned 370GT but he was rocking... a good 4 seconds faster than me on every lap in the 550 suzuka RWD event. Great race man!

Um.. It's called Beta Testing.

Yes, and thats only used when there is a reason to allow the consumers to test it. But it isn't a reason in itself, you don't need (this is the key word here) to beta test everything and very rarely any company does as its very time consuming and ruins many surprises for the consumers.
