Rare used car question

has anybody considered that the used car list maybe completely random?

The bulk of the list is structured. I've see more Lotus Carltons for sale that were ever built! The Audi S4 is another car to watch since it only apears on one list.

There are time that I see cars that are not recognizable. There might be a few cars that pop up more rarely. The 4 black LMPs are one case.

What does seem to random- colors and mileage. Some lo-mi cars pop up and I've not seen any pattern to it.

I've seen the Audi S4 on more than a few occasions and I'm only on day 411...
 
That Trueno GT Apex S.S Version is anything but rare. I saw it once and thought "ooh that must be rare!" but didn't buy it....it then seemed to hang around for ages in the Lot before disappearing. Seen the Vantage a number of times as well. Heres the funny part of my GT4 used car tale though...I spent a good few days beforehand earning 1.2 million credits to get one of the Black Beauties but I either missed them or they didn't appear!

hahah. funny s**t, first time i saw the shingo and i had to buy it, bloody rip off though. then i was playin earlier and it popped up again :grumpy: . hell i seem to buy every stupid car i think is rare.
 
The U.S Versions are all the same, the Pal versions are all the same, the Japan versions are all the same. But each is different than each other. The problem lies in the fact that there are people asking a question, and two things are happening.
1. People are giving the answers from three different regions.
2. Many people have been giving answers like "I think it was X day or something"

We don't need answers that have "I think" or anything like it.

I request that when giving an answer, make sure of these few things.
A. You are 100 percent (as in go to your garage and look it up) sure the day you post is the proper day.
B. List what region your game is and match it to the region the person who is asking the question is from. If you aren't the same region, it's best to not answer.

When it comes to the Used Car lists. Take a look at JKRobby's US Used Car list.
It's only halfway finished but it'll be completed soon I understand.
It is correct.
There are no other US versions with different lists. What's on the list is there.

When the list is complete, you can scan down the list and look to see the rare cars
The rare ones will be the ones listed only a few times.
When it becomes a sortable list, I don't know. But before then, that's an easy way.

And Duke, rock on man. You are always informative and know the proper way to admin a board. You don't take bull but yet you also don't automatically hit the "BAN" button.

I've been through the full cycle as well and I havent seen the Mazda AZ-1. Someone please help me out? Im going to start another game and watch the lots again.

Playing US version btw.

If I read the list right. The Autozam Mazda AZ-1 will appear on these dates and last 7 days each time. This is only half the dates, the second half hasn't been entered yet (list not finished)

I was editing my post when you posted. lol. Here is the edited version that includes tour answer.
 
I know that the Black LMP cars show up every 600 and odd day or so, but my question about this is how much do they exactly cost? PAL that is, as im coming around to the time they are going to crop up and i would like to know how much cash to raise for them. If you know of a thread that has the exact info im looking for then point me in the right direction but if not could someone please tell me :)

All black LMP cars (4 in total i think) on the PAL version of GT4.

Skyline 1500Deluxe (S50D-1) 1963 Appeared twice through week 65
Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) 1973 Appeared once through week 65 (on week 54)
Skyline GTS-R (R31) 1987 Appeared six times through week 65

Those have been the rarest for me (NTSC/NA version)

Look at jkrobby's list for exactly what weeks the others appear
 
The cars I'm having difficulties finding include Honda S800 (66), Honda Z Act (70), Mazda 110s (68) and Silvia (65)

any idea on the PAL version????????????

YEH im using pal version and this car cropped sometime around october time not sure on the date to be exact (sorry) but it had also only 6 mile on the clock which i believe is even rarer. :)

All I asked was if anyone had a simple list of rare used cars. I didn't have any attitude or anything, I was just simply asking because all the info on rare used cars is scattered throughout random posts, and now with this thread its somewhat more organized, and there is a good list posted by jkrobby, so I got what I asked for. And I see what you mean by me saying I'm lazy....its actually that I have better things to do than look through a list of thousands of cars to see which one appear less than others, when I can simply ask. Who on earth has time to look through those massive lists, let alone make them?

I recently got a blue Skyline (R33) from 1994. It was an LM limited edition. I use to check through the used car lot every time but either i never noticed it before or it is a rare one to show up. I bought it on October 20th or 21st in second year.
 
No, thats not what I am saying. Please understand this. I was wondering if anyone knew, from a website or something, a simple list of them. I did not expect anyone to search those lists. And for the people that do look through and make those lists, thats fine. Whatever floats your boat, its not my business, I just do not want to do that.

The first number is the amount of times the car shows up with more than 6.2 miles.
The second number shows the number of times the car shows up with 6.2 miles.
This list is missing one cycle so the totals will be slightly off. (cycle 58 to be exact) The low mileage appearances are accurate.
This is for the NA version.

I was thinking about buying this skyline that popped up JUST because it said LM Limited edition, now I am glad that it didn't because it pops up every week I check it now. :D Nice limited car, when it is available so often.

I also bought that Shigeno (Trueno?) car with black front, quite expensive, I read that it is rare, but the week after I bought it I checked again and there was another one. :-/
 
Can someone look up the exact day for the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione. Been through 1 700 day cycle and missed it.

I looked through the used car list but I might have missed it, is the Datsun 510 in the game somewhere?
