To be honest I think this is one of the more productive threads in the GT4 forum. One line posts are really all you need
No, actually, that ruins threads and creates spam.
Pages and pages of worthless post.
Do you think any person on this site would get anything out of this thread based on the way it has been going.
I mean, think about it like this:
You are a newbie to the forums and Gran Turismo in general.
All you want to do is read through this thread and find out what cars are rated highly by GTP users and which are rated lowely.
Reasons for why you rate it the way you do are what will tell this person if they should try the car or not.
(this sort of thing just wouln't do
)
*I hate the color and its handling sucks! ... Next Car!*
What does that say?
Has the rating member driven the car in both Arcade and GT mode?
Is there anything about the car that differentiates it from the rest of its ilk?
This is why I think rate-a-car threads should be based on the idea of a person rating their own choice and not someone elses.
If you're not crazy about a car it is easy to say some quick tid-bit and suggest a car you really do like.
Why not rate that car you have been playing with in your own time?
Any way, that's just a thought.
We could always go back to the "this is spam" idea and see where that takes the thread.
:edit:
No double posting... edit!
Now, if you think it takes all the fun out because you know what you think of a car... (man that sentence sounds odd
)
Well just think about it like this:
No one else knows what you think, tell them.
Other people will tell you about cars they know well.
If you want to know what someone else thinks of a car you've gotta make sure they actually care to test the car in the first place.
How many times do you think people rate a car just to put up their own pick?
I bet a quite a few.
Maybe letting people review that car they have a passiion for will help the post quality?
Maybe forcing people to review a car they don't care about is a great way to get one sentence spam replies.
