75 because its still the yellow and white version and not the solid yellow. a little too tail happy for me. when you tune it to the max you have to watch the corner speeds or its around we go. there are much better FR cars.

loctite-zexel gt-r

78 because I have seen the same damn car for too long. They probably used the same model from previous GT games to not change it here. I know that there are more inspiring cars than this one, so I just drive those.

Lotus Carlton.

65, japanese equivalent of fat bastard. when you add more power to overcome the hefty weight it just understeers worse. if you like taking the time to nitpick over the suspension i'm sure you could make it handle better, but for me its not worth it.

renault clio v6

90.Style.Speed.Luxury.Fun.

Dodge Viper SRT-10 (IMO,I think it gets a 75...fast...but no handling and braking to make up for it)

Doesn´t deserves more than 70. It represents the death of the Skylines.

I prefer the small ones. What about Vitz RS Turbo? (This is funny!)

If it is anything like the GTR road car, it is like a 97. It is just .

The 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

Ok guys, here's the deal.

If the one sentence post continue I am going to shut this thread down and make sure there are no more "rate-a-car" threads in the gt4 forum.

Sorry to take all the spam-tastic fun out of it, but we need more quality out of the replies.

With that in mind I will try my best to contribute to this thread and not just come in barking orders like some kind of jerk. :D

M3 CSL huh?

Stock: 354hp & 1385kg
Quick Tune: 424hp & 1246kg (+20/-10)
GT Mode Tune: Approximately 500hp & 1177kg

This is certainly one heck of an M3.
First off, the weight is awefully low compared to a normal M3.
The weight in GT mode makes for great tuning once a new suspension is installed.

The power is standard BMW material. Torquey and still capable of running with power at high RPM.

Looks are also a part of this car... The M3 looks great in any form.
This does bring me to one complaint- COLORS.
I want CSLs in red, white, and blue. :dopey:

My rating for the M3 CSL is a solid 82 out of 100.

With more colors I would be willing to go as high as 89. ;)

My choice for next car...

Dodge Charger ... Just like the guy who got that in before I finished posting this reply.

How would you all feel about reviewing your own picks instead of the person's from before you?

This could easily help create better post quality.

Like Jetboys,
Why don't you review the Charger?

You must like it if you suggested it, yet I can't say that someone else wants to write a good review of the car.

So what do you say?

Or for that matter,
Why don't any of you pick a car you really like or dislike, then explain why.

To be honest I think this is one of the more productive threads in the GT4 forum. One line posts are really all you need :)

That takes the fun out of the thread, it's interesting to see what others think about a car, not what you think, because you already know your opinions :)

I think the Charger deserves a 70/100, due to it's killer looks and mopar power :) It will never handle as good as a modern car so I won't rate it any higher.

No, actually, that ruins threads and creates spam.

Pages and pages of worthless post.

Do you think any person on this site would get anything out of this thread based on the way it has been going.

I mean, think about it like this:

You are a newbie to the forums and Gran Turismo in general.

All you want to do is read through this thread and find out what cars are rated highly by GTP users and which are rated lowely.

Reasons for why you rate it the way you do are what will tell this person if they should try the car or not.

(this sort of thing just wouln't do :( )
*I hate the color and its handling sucks! ... Next Car!*

What does that say?
Has the rating member driven the car in both Arcade and GT mode?
Is there anything about the car that differentiates it from the rest of its ilk?

This is why I think rate-a-car threads should be based on the idea of a person rating their own choice and not someone elses.

If you're not crazy about a car it is easy to say some quick tid-bit and suggest a car you really do like.

Why not rate that car you have been playing with in your own time?

Any way, that's just a thought.
We could always go back to the "this is spam" idea and see where that takes the thread. ;)

:edit:
No double posting... edit!

Now, if you think it takes all the fun out because you know what you think of a car... (man that sentence sounds odd :dunce: )

Well just think about it like this:
No one else knows what you think, tell them.
Other people will tell you about cars they know well.

If you want to know what someone else thinks of a car you've gotta make sure they actually care to test the car in the first place.

How many times do you think people rate a car just to put up their own pick?
I bet a quite a few.
Maybe letting people review that car they have a passiion for will help the post quality?
Maybe forcing people to review a car they don't care about is a great way to get one sentence spam replies.

I would assume most people don't have the time to really test out all the odds and ends of a car thoroughly. I would also assume most of the people coming to this thread aren't looking for a lengthy review on a particular car. They would go to the write-up section possibly for that. And you can always pm someone asking why they came to that conclusion 👍

Now Kent, you gone and taken all the fun outta it. :irked: j/k ;)

Well, if you so do so in wanting a review, then so be it. :)

1970 Dodge Charger R/T

It is beuatifully potent, as shown in my UMCC thread in the GT4 write-up forum, barely edging out that Chevelle. It has suprising turn in and makes a very nice Grand-tourer, and also has potential for drag-racing, turning in low 9's. It also has a wonderful, burbling V8 exhaust note.

But, there is always a downside to everything. First off is price. $75 large for a car that tops out at 120 and is a brick is a touch much. Second. Well, it is a B-body, but it doesn't have that split grill. (I know, that's piddly, but it makes a difference.) Third. It tops out at 120. It should go up to 140-150-ish.

All in all, it is a car that has some legs, with some slight flaws, from my prespective. Eh... I'd give it a 87.

Happy now? It's a mini-write-up.

Dude, that was a great job.

For real, you said it at the end of your post... "A mini write-up."

And that's the truth.
Plus, IMO that is what this thread should be all about.

I didn't really know much at all about the charger; just that it was dodge. :D
However, after reading that I know the charger is expensive.
'nough said.

For real though, that was a good job jetboys, I commend you.

In the spirit of such a post, I will return with my own.
Just not right now.

Maybe someone else would like to take a turn... Pick your own if you want, or just say the word and I'm sure someone will demand a rating for a random car. :indiff:

Btw, that charger review also shows me that gt4 muscle car enthusiast (atleast one) consider the charger one of the better muscle cars. :D

I think most pepole in this thread put up a car for rating that they like, and that presumably they'd like to hear from others they like it as well. Then there's the few guys (perhaps girls, but I doubt it  ) that find great joy in spamming / flaming every post they can get their prying eyes on.

I would never comment a car I hadn't driven myself, but I dont see the use of creating an epic story for each reply either.

I put up the Amuse S2000 R1 'cause it's my favourite car in the game, sexy car, nice color (goldenbronze+black) the sound, the instant feel of obedience when turning, total control. I've only changed oil, to keep her perfect as she already is.

My other Post was the Shelby Mustang 350GT, my macho man's car. Simple and back to basic, with a whining V8 roar. Get used to driving it, and it's your best mate. Not as technically perfect as the Amuse, but more to the bone of car enthusiasm!

Don't see any need to close this thread, that would be like, errrrr, overachievement? But a little more than two word sentences would be nice, and please, only comment a car you have actually driven!

Alright guys all is safe.

Keep the one-sentence post a comin'... :indiff:

Review the...

A personal favorite of mine- The McLaren F1

Btw,
I feel this has mostly been spam, pure, useless post-count spam!
(that is, with the exception of the last page or so) ;)

I didnt like the McLaren, I thought it was too twitchy and doesnt suit my driving style. It does look quite nice though. When I raced it Id did quite well as long as I took it easy in the corners and braking areas.
I dont think I could race against better cars, but a better driver or someone who set it up right could do quite well.
I'd give it a 60 mainly due to it being so unstable.

Taneras
2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R
70

Not a huge mustang fan, but it's has decent speed. Faster then the 05 mustang, but not as good to look at.

Might get a 75 if there's was more then just one colour.

Next car:RUF RGT

Oooo,the RUF RGT.Another RUF.

Ill give it a nice 85.It's a RUF,which helps it in my book. And it is an overall decent driver for most tracks.Get's kind of boring to drive after a while though I.M.O.

Lets see here..

Cizeta C16 :)

65 - Has the makings of a real killer supercar speed/looks/pricetag, etc but can't put it all together. Gets put in its place by the other supercars in the game. If you want an old supercar go for the jag xj220.

so: Jaguar XJ220 roadcar

Superb car, vastly underrated, perhaps too expensive, but this car deliveres a unique supercar experience and despite being over 10 years old it's capable of showing the new boy's how the supercar thing is done. 90.

Next the Toyota 2000GT.
