for what it is, 90/100. Great styling, great powerband, yes way too heavy but with a little tuning it's a great car for me. only 90/100 because it should have been an 850CSi... if not an Alpina B12 5.7!

Mini Cooper?

85/100

It's iconic and eminently tune-able. It can be pretty much anything - a giant-slayer of sorts. Only knock against it would be the lack of torque even if you tune it... it's a small-track giant-slayer! :dunce: I don't think it'd fare too well on the larger tracks.

Whoops! Forgot to suggest a car... how about the Alfa-Romeo 155 Touring Car?

Ruling Suzuki out...The Alfa is the best 4WD race car in the game...it is one of the easiest vehicles to tune and it is Iconic in its respective DTM series.
An absolute must have for Beginners, DTM fans, and people that want a fun car.

One of my favorites. (-5 points for being ugly LOL)

Fiat Coupe Turbo...76/100.

Not a bad car, it was one of the first I drove in Arcade mode due to it's garish yellow paintscheme, it looked and sounded really good, and drove not too badly - like a sorta pumped-up version of my old Prelude. Did seem more capable of understeer though, if I remember rightly, but it's been a while so I might be remembering that wrong.

Next car: Nissan Micra Super Turbo.

you know you picked another 100/100. Unique, and both amazingly fast and surprisingly great handling/grip. Well, maybe 99/100. In my favorite way to race, with the close follow cam, the dang thing is so big sometimes it's hard to see where you're going...

Celica GT-Four RC '91?

25/100 - useless and uninteresting except to try to beat the Escudo up PP with an underdog. And the Escudo itself makes the Cultus irrelevant if all you want to do is see how fast you can go.

DB6?

Taurus SHO RACE MOD

I'm going off the top of my head, here, it's been ages since I've driven the Taurus in GT2.

Pros
:
> Race-mod looks like something out of Nascar. :dopey: Version 1.0 of GT2 actually does have Mr Martin's version of Taurus.

> decent acceleration for a front drive. I think zero to 60 is around 7 seconds for a stock Taurus in this game, and this can only be improved with power upgrades and better tires

> 160 mph top speed stock, and this only gets better (again) with race-mod and other parts.

> despite the "lowish" power, and front-drive layout, there are a LOT of races this car can participate in and slaughter, cheaters and fair-racing drivers, alike.

...That's the beauty of GT2. :) In GT4 or 5, the Taurus can't make nearly as many credits as it can in the 2nd game, mostly because front-drives suffer from tons more understeer and traction loss than they did in earlier GT games.

Cons:
>Not enough power. I'm not sure how much power Winston Cup cars had back in the day, but the Nascar scheme assumes LOTS of horses will be in place. We only get 364 hp in GT2, tops. :grumpy:

>Pricey. The stock car costs 30K, and from here on up, those credits start to evaporate quickly!

> Nascar scheme also assumes we're gonna get a rear-drive car. Nope, it's still an FF.

>Clumsy. The understeer gets diminished with race-mod options, though. It's still probably this car's main fault, handling-wise, though.

64 out of 100

Next car: '98 Honda Life Type T

:D

Yeah, the Taurus can slay with the right mods, but it's full of issues. Handling (especially with over 300 horses), stock gearing too tall, heavy, but it's pretty fine.

My rating on the Honda Life? 5 out of 100. I'd rate it lower, but the Subaru 360 takes that spot. It's so slow, I've never even hit whatever its top speed is. If you take the Life seriously, seriously, get a life.

Next car to rate?

Let's go with the Audi TT LM Edition. I like that car, pretty slick.

I know the TT LM can slay, but (again) it's been ages since I've driven it, so I'm passing it on....

Audi TT LM edition

 Audi TT LM edition
The LM edition of the TT delivers great handling along with smooth turnings. Each turn flies by smoothly with no hassle. But what I found as a downfall, was its lag of speed by the looks and feelings of the car. When I view the car, I get the feeling that it will express great speeds. But, it does not give the parallel nor greater expectations. It is a fun little Audi, but with a bit of tuning to the transmission will delete all major down views of the car. 72/100.

^ Next car?

In that case, Datsun 240ZG: Underpowered but fun, too bad no Devil Z blue. 70/100 💡 and the next is Course BG  (I'm serious!)

The Course BG? Never driven it, but I can still rate it. For the "car" itself, 10/100. It looks impossible to drive, even more so then my experiences with the other No Name cars (Yes, I've actually driven them), and I've seen how glitchy it is and how easy it is to break out of tracks with it. For the hilarity and pure shock value, 98/100 here. If you have a Course BG, it's sure to shock your friends whether they play GT2 or not.

Next up, let's rate the Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31). I love that car, rarely gets talked about compared to the other Skylines.

70/100

Looks cool but performance is needless to say crap

Next Car: 1998 Toyota GT-One Race Car

^ Not to mention that the car he mentioned (see page 64) does not exist in this game.

So, rate this instead: Corvette ZR-1 '95. ;)

 GT2, buddy. The GT-One '98 was 1 year old. No Koennigssegeggsses.

And yes, I know Dur is fishing here, I'll bite. By GT2 standards, 95/100, only because it's overkill. Beautiful, great handling, super fast, what more could you ask for?

next: Vivio RX-RA aka Vivio '97 (the rare one)

A targa-top Viper without stripes. Lighter than the GTS thus a tad bit faster. Fully-tuned it still has great handling and speed, and can take on the top tier cars with ease. Intresting RM. 9/10

Next: Jaguar XJR15

Keep going with the XJR15, I haven't driven it enough to say, but I did want to respond to tankuroded. ZR1, 60/100. Great car, but should be the best corvette and isn't. Wider and not as long as the '96's, so should be sportier. Stock certainly potent, but heavier, softer springs. Oddly, downforce is less in front and more in rear than other two corvettes. With equivalent tuning, is slower than most other cars in its class, not just the '96 corvettes but also the Vipers, Camaro, and Supras.

And, from my experience, the GTS is faster than the RT/10.
