Tahiti Dirt R3

Fasten your seatbelt guys, because this track will make us fly beyond reality...:scared: Great track with great sweeping turns and amazing multi-jumps. The scenery is good, but in Tahiti circuit family, it's the worst. Not too hard to tackle. 85/100

Next: Tahiti Road.

It is very different than its PS2 version. I kept wondering to myself, "What is this track? I have never seen this track before." 80/100

This may not seem to be any track, but what about the license test tracks? (Excluding S License Tests)

Laguna Seca in GT2: 70/100

PD did a really awesome job with it in GT2, or at least as good as they could accomplish with the PS1 system. It's their very first attempt at a real-life track. But there are flaws...the usual pixellation and poor graphics. The fact that nothing exists 40-80 feet ahead of the driver, which makes it hard to gauge where to aim the car if the driver doesn't know the track. And the corkscrew is not as tight as it is in real-life.

But it's fun. The Ai can't drive the corkscrew half the time, and it's funny to watch them spin out (Muscle Car races!) like a bunch of newbs. Also, if you break thru the barrier off-track, there's some weird **** out there, some say it's supposed to be the lost "drag strip" that never got included in GT2.

Next: Rome Short :yuck:

Not to mention the useless gravel traps. And I believe the 90 degree left turn before the climb to the corkscrew is tighter in real-life too.

License Test Tracks = 55/100.
They offer a relaxing change from the actual tracks. I hated some of them, though.
Next: Deep Forest.

After the first hairpin at DF, the upcoming scribbled corners seem tighter than the GT3 & GT4 versions of Deep Forest. Plus, the rest of the in depth sections of the forest.
70/100

Next track: Tahiti Road.

^ 65/100

-> Although it was a boring track overall, it was an excellent beginners track compared to HSR '90s.

-> Next track: Rome Short

:)

Smokey Mountain was my 2nd favorite rally course (behind Green Forest). This course feels like the backdrop to GT4's Swiss Alps course. Long sweeping turns and uphill/downhill features. Jumps. And the side grass actually works at slowing down, for more realism. Great place to have some WRC fun.

Next up is: Rome Short Course Reverse

A filler track just like Seattle short but even worse because the right sweeper that would be turn 3 and looks decent has been taken away for another 90 degree corner the third in a row on a track with only 5 corners.

The flowing high speed end to the lap and the challenging final corner save this track a little but ultimately it's on the game to increase the number of tracks.

5/10

Next track is Grand Valley East Section Reverse I've loved this track ever since I drove it in a LMP car on GT4 which is awesome if you get it just right. But I don't remember ever driving it on GT2.......

The first couple turns at Gran Valley (Reverse), it seems like a whole different track. Or at least going onto a different route. 7/10.

Next Track: Test Course.

I like our most of the track's weather conditions are overcast.

100/100
Awesome slipstreaming fun! Banked corners! I miss the old Test Course... :guilty:
Next up...Rome-Night Reverse

We recently done this. Quick.......8/10.

Now:...... Apricot Hill.

Now:...... Apricot Hill.

I have to rate it high, because I recently did 50 laps there for the Endurance. It is a very fun track, and has odd similarities to Suzuka Circuit, including the hairpin, the chicane, and the straightaway the leads to the long, sweeping turn, and then turns into the esses. It's very technical compared to some tracks, and it is better for it.

Next is: Smokey Mountain North Reverse

7/10. I don't usually like rally, but that's a pretty good course.

Special Stage Route 5 / Reverse

^82/100. High flowing track :), but mistake could lead to time-wasting spins :indiff:.

Next: Motor Sports Land ;)

80/100. Nice tiny track well made for small cars to kei cars. Helps with car control and cornering... I'd be scared to drive a Speed 12 there :scared:.

Next track: Super Speedway!

Stupor Seedway Oops. Super Speedway. I rate it low. Like a 30/100. It's not that it's an oval, it's more that there's so much pop-up at this particular track. Also, the Ai never drove SS right in GT2. Notice they always brake into BOTH turns! And then take the longer one way too slowly. WTF?

Next track: Mid-field II (reversed direction)

rate 80/100,the version is way better than the forward, the first turn is tricky and the reverse make this track more challenging and gain more speed.
Next: grand valley speedway reverse.
