French cars are ugly, slow, and boring. So much so that they aren't sold here. Not as bad as South Korean cars, however.

That's just your opinion though. I can understand why you hate French cars and how they are ugly, but a lot of them are pretty quick. Quicker than your F-150 even.

Not so slow that the car you commented on first can't win Le Mans twice, though. Then have its successor do it again 16 years later, then break the Le Mans lap record.
Of course, that was also preceded by 4 wins in the 70s (3 in a row) and a win by a local privateer in 1980, the car bearing his own name.
There's also a French holder of the FWD Ring record.

The Alpine A110 breaks all of those generalizations. So does the Alpine A310. And the Citroen SM. And the Renault Clio V6. And the Renault Megane RS. And the Peugeot RCZ. And the Renault Clio Williams. And a whole bunch of other French cars.
