5/10. The E46 M3 is starting to get quite overrated these days sadly.

Duesenberg Model SJ. (Taken by me on an iPhone, so sorry for the bad quality)
I know it's hitting that stride, and I'm well aware of it. What I mean as it's overrated, is that it's worringly becoming something of the internets dearest child.Overrated - by what measure?? The E46 is just hitting its stride and is widely regarded as one of the most desirable M3s ever made!

People start to defend them too much in my opinion, and fanboys are getting more and more atthaced to them. Just my personal opinion, and I don't wanna start any arguments.
10/10. The 993 GT2. A pure legend!

Porsche 911 GT2 (996) My personal favourite of the GT2 range.
Neither do I, but I think you mean over popular, not overrated. The E46 is a fantastic car, but yes people do tend to get a little carried away as newer models are released and sentiment for the older ("purer") models grows, and all it does it drive prices up artificially. I'm in the market for a 996 GT3 and am finding exactly the same thing, prices have almost overtaken 997 prices! Is the 996 a great car? Absolutely. Is it worth as much as a 997? No.
It's actually a Carrera RS, but agree that the GT2 is a pure legend! I'll give you 9.5/10 for the 996.
While we're on the topic of 996s, my next car (provided I can find one for a sensible price...):
My mistake. The fenders made it look like a GT2 though.
8/10 for the 996 GT3. The 996 is probably my favourite generation of 911's. Why? Because this was the 911 I grew up with, and after serinng a 996 Carrera in the opening scene of Gone in 60 Seconds, I was in love.
