Whily truly mechanically fascinating, the Amphicar really never appealed to me.

Point added because the sealed engine bay means that when the little Triumph leaks (and you can count on that), you don't have to scatter kitty litter on the driveway and douse it with gasoline to draw the oil out of the concrete. Same point removed because that oil instead collects in the engine compartment.
