Yo!
Name is Inaktive, PSN - MdotR07
Been a fan of GT since the first, made a few movements though to xbox, Forza 1-3, started drifting from Forza 1, moved to PS3 n then got GT5, feels a little different but I'm picking it up fast. Im more of a laid back drifter, I like drifting with others online~ Hope to see your drifters soon, add me up n jus msg me!

Enjoy life sideways!

Avholic here. New to GT, new to GTPlanet, relatively new to drifting too. My main drift car in GT5 (until I find a better one) is the RX7 FD coz it was my favorite drift car in FM3. I use wheel (F-PWTS). I just got started drifting in GT5 yesterday. Still on the learning curve. I use the RX-7 FD for speed drifting, and Shelby Cobra (with baseline 'theyoytoy' tune that I found yesterday) for style drifting. Both are still WIP.

4x4/AWD/4WD is not a good thing try a FR car. Otherwise you arent drifting you are power sliding.

Well anyway welcome and i hope you learn alot for GTP Drifting. Good Luck

Who cares about what you drive, it's all about just having fun!

I completely agree on having fun mate. I didnt argue against it what so ever. He understands that. I am simply trying to push him in the FR car direction nothing else, there is nothing bad about it.

RWD will be better than AWD as a beginner's car for many reasons. For instance, Drifting will act differently and will be tuned differently than any AWD. Throttle control can be learned in a FR than a AWD.Promoting FR drifting with just stating that AWD is not drifting is not helping anyone.

It's cool, don't mean to come off as "attacking" you, if you feel I am.

Saying that because I've posted in a few topics you've been in and to me it even feels as if I'm attacking you. But I assure you that I don't mean to. :P

Name's Daniel, new to drifting and GTP. First started learing to drift with a RX-7 FC shout out to Cookie_Monsta for the tune on that one in the settings Depot. Now using a 07 350Z shout out to Kinasan for that tune. Still pretty n00b when it comes to drifting but I practice almost everyday so hopefully I will get much better shortly. Have fun sliding people! PSN: DJackson10 (if you add me make sure you write a message saying you're from GTP or else I just delete because people think I'm DeSean Jackson)

I didn't want to come off as i was attacking one too. well we sure could make a decent debate team then haha 👍 :)

Hi GTP and all members, have been drifting for the past two weeks I can't get enough of it. I've been drifting with my BMW M3 07 and a Silvia (S15) RM. Looking for a team i guess, drifting alone can be boring sometimes!

This looks like an awesome community!

Hey everyone! Long time Gran Turismo fan all the way from the very first part. Finally decided I wanted to try my hand at drifting in GT5. It's challenging, with a controller and not quite sure which car to go with. I really love vipers and having seen drifters with a viper that inspired me I ultimately want to drift with one of those.

I understand I should start with something else and have tried with the BMW Z4 '03 which went really well, the Amemiya rx-7 which was okay. Now finally settled on the 350z and even better than the BMW! After two days I managed to get the first hang of it with throttle control, now I'm starting to see the steering bit, but haven't quite gotten that down yet. Any advice, tips or pointers, please shoot them my way!

Hello All....im new to the art of drifting but im getting better by the lap.... So like this is my first Gran Turismo game and like im enjoying ..

My weapons for drifting are:

BMW M3 Coupe (finished)
Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (in progress)

Yo,

Been a lurker for a while just getting my eye in, starting to get an idea o the power ratio and suspension settings I like. G25 all the way, initial drifting is where its at.

I've been both surprised and amazed by gt5, very Japanese, excellent where it matters.

I'm on most days, hit me up for some FR sideways action, try to have a mike.

PSN: Phlogiston___

That's 3 underscores.

Hello everyone, GT5 is my first GT game. I have been racing since day 1, learning to tune and I don't know anything about drifting. This should be fun.

Hey, what is wrong with you, buddies?!?! I can see there are a lot of drift fans in this game but you dont vote for drift events and oline points + EXP. for drifting on GTPlanet FEEDBACK forum!!!!!!! Stupidity everywhere on that forum espesially on a top voted threads: I see that only one thing people need is just to get more cars and convert standart to premium ones?!?!? Does this game deserve only to be a lollypop for kinda children who has only one interest in GT5 is just to fool around Cardealer and test all cars without even being fan of????? VOTE FORE WHAT WE REALLY NEED!!!!!!

VOTE FORE WHAT WE REALLY NEED!!!!!!

So, uh, english lessons?

I think I can pretty safely say that none of the real drifters around here really use drift mode at all or particularly care whether or not they're getting points for it.

Oh so very true.. points system sucks in my opinion! its a waste of time.. what matters is having proper drifting cars.. transmission conversions etc.. the stuff that matters.. not so i can go online and drift against some D**K in his tank car getting max points... NO THANKS!

Hi all,
New to GTP and new to drifting on GT. I am getting better although not very consistent at it, I can't keep the drifts flowing, but I'm sure that will come in time. I am using a std controller as I don't have a steering wheel to use.

Hello Drifters :)

Its daniel from germany haha. I´m a GT fanboy since the 1st europe-demo which was boxed with my first playstation. One car, one track and 120 seconds of playtime, then reset the ps to restart the demo quicker....did this in endless night-sessions.
I began learning to drift with GT4, as I bought a DFP. Loved the Costa di Amalfi and Citta di Adria tracks. I would say I was a good drifter, but when it comes to setup-things I always failed to get it right.
With the GT5 release, I searched a bit for good drift-settings and found this drift-forum and the depot-thread. THIS CHANGED ALL! Because I tested out TwinTurboCH´s real-life-all-S13-models setting and: bäm...I began to understand how it works-especially the diff settings. Now I can tune my cars by myself and tweak some postet settings from the depot, to suit my style. I will post some setups from time to time, hoping for feedabck and to give something back to the drift-community.
My favourite drifters atm are: ACR Viper, BP-FALKEN RX7, BLITZ DUNLOP ER34 and all s13´s ;) . But I drift every bit of FR layout on which I can get my hands on.

aaah, and sry for my english hehe....happy sliding :)

Hello everyone, im Dominique. Im a female drifter from Belgium.

Im not new to GTplanet, but im looking for other people:
Im looking to get a bit of a feminin society going within GT5, because drifting with only guys, becomes annoying after a while. (Not lookign specifically for Drifters though, nor do you have to be more then a casual player.)

I will need some proof of the gender though, like a Facebook account (this, i will handle in private of course, not in public), a mic, or any other kind of proff that is clear. I can add you on Facebook, so proof goes both ways, since i barely (to never) use a mic.

Id love some messages on PSN, or on here (Not on here quite often, best bet is adding me on PSN).

Hope to see some people soon :)

Dominique
