As a musician for the last 20 years (and even before that) , i think people need to realise that mixing loops to compose a song doesnt actually require a real musical talent.
In this case you dont have to actually learn scales to build chordforms or learn scales to improvise.
You dont have to spend a lot of time to learn and master your instrument when using loops.
However, somebody who uses software as an instrument is still making real music.
If you can play piano or organ, i really think it doesnt matter if the keyboard is connected to a laptop thats running a modeling program to create piano sounds or a real piano for that matter.
I think there is a difference, and just my opinion ofcourse!
