No, not really. I can't really enforce it or check for it; wish that was different lol

I would have still set a certain amount of modifications though. Telling people it's open but setting a HP cap basically tells them it's ok to power limit which gives them a torque advantage.

I'll be running to appropriate spec, without a rear wing. I can run low to mid 7's with this setup and think I'll do just find. :)👍

Yeah, I usually try to run as close to 100% as I can. All I can really do is say to try to do the same.

That is why I asked -- alefin has previously set limits on the amout of engine limiting (it was the only setting group he did not mention), and I agree that the key issue is torque. Given the set-up, I will be looking to achieve the maximum torque within the HP limit, which means maximum engine limiting. I am running at about 85% engine limit without break-in, and with oil change.

Two reminders for those new to our racing format (we have a couple of new faces this week):

Please make sure you are familiar with the Rolling Start and Cautions Until Clean Start policies, again, especially if you are good enough to take the Pole/Pace starting position (or restarting position).

If you have not raced with full damage and no penalties before, doing so ultimately requires a more defensive posture. You are stuck with any damage regardless who caused it, until you pit. We regulars are ALL very cautious and AWARE in traffic, and more likely to give way than in races with light damage and/or penalties.

Man I haven't had ANY time to practice for this lol I'll probably come in last but it'll still be fun.

Is chassis reinforcement allowed?

Ran a 1:07.6 without chassis reinforcement and only window weight mod so no ballasting yet.

Yeah, chassis reinforcement is allowed. I'll make it explicit.

And last place is mine, you can't have it :P

Thanks for the race guys. Forgot how fun these cars are, brings back some good memories from FMSC. :)

A couple things:

- Not sure what kind of racing phil does that it's ok to block and try to repass the leader when you're getting lapped. Good thing I had a 20 second lead or I wouldn't be so nice.

- I didn't need a power limiter or downforce. :)

1:06.666 () was my best with slipstream. Pretty sure I did a 1:06.697 by myself at one point. I'd say a majority of my laps were in the 1:06.9xx to 1:07.1xx range. 👍

Secret: Great handling car (with only a few setting tweaks) and a good line. I also used the stick shift thing on the DFGT the whole race. Getting used to using it more now with cars that don't have paddle shifters in real life.

PD needs to fix the pit stop glitch. I tried pitting twice unsuccessfully due to driving with damage to my front left for like 20 straight laps, my thumb was getting tired of trying to keep it straight. Finally the 3rd pit stop worked. I have a feeling I would have at least gotten 4th in front of Phil but it was still a good race. My eyes were straining pretty hard. Not used to long races like that. R1600 is the master of the Miata.

Next time let's do 25 laps on Suzuka Circuit with the Roadster TC!

I've never had an issue getting on to pit road. I always make sure I am slowing down and/or on the brakes when I enter. No problems. The time lost slowing down to get on pit road won't be nearly as much as the time lost if you barrel in and it glitches you out.
