Hi,

my garage holds 450 cars with about 600 tunes.

I would like to add some cars and leave them un-tuned, just as reference or because they are already good out of the box

what is still OK for me is to detune them power-wise , so they can be better to drive or add other tires...

any thoughts?

( and yes i know this is a non tuning thread in a tuning forum, and no i did not find a similar thread here, but it could be that i did not look good...)

The Merc SLS AMG is a really nice car to drive.

thnx, you made me think of another angle of this question, "good to drive" so i want to add this to the question...

but... fast is also good... ;-p

It's fast because it's good - very balanced. Probably not the fastest 560PP stock car but definitely one of the easiest to drive. No point having a car that sets awesome lap times but you're constantly fighting it.

This is kinda biased, but I like stock AE86's an awful lot lol.

It's just so easy to take it to the limit because it's got hardly any power. By making you weight shift or other drifting techniques that are more than just power sliding, it subconsciously trains you to be a better drifter :)

I like the Lexus LFA a lot too. It's got great downforce for a road car. And Castrol Tom's Supra, even though I dunno if we're counting race cars.

RX500, NSX '92, Integra type R Touring Car, these are a few that I find drive great out of the box, but than the question would be how do I drive?

Thank you for your suggestion, i also look for race-cars... (drift/drag/ralley is not my cup of tea, at least until now...)

just to explain,
i wrote that in other threads as well,
i maintain a mysql database with an ios front-end where i have my 30+ tracks and 600+ tunes... i run most of the time seasonal's and harvest times... (and money, i did not glitch in the beginning) so i get a good insight what cars perform how in what pp range/tire/tune... like that i discovered some gems like the alfa 155 or the bmw m3 gtr from 2003 (thank you Laurent/praiano!).

Like that i harvested thousands of times and like that the game is very much alive and satisfying for me,
i am a pro jazz trumpeter/solo-ist, so the concept of flow is very important to me, and gt6 (the only game i play) helps me to think... when i race my subconscious allows me to communicate with my conscious and provides me with new insights... after a good race session i often know what to do...

i wanted to expand my garage as i have a lot of great tunes and thought of "stock" cars also as tune(!)

my main goal is a great drive, if i have a great drive i have fun and most of the time i get competitive time's in the pp/tire range...

so all suggestions so far will enter my garage...

thank you for the suggestions and i hope there will come more!

just to add one myself,

the Audi Quattro S1 Pikes Peak from 1987 is really great detuned to 600pp on rh...

same pace as or even 1 second faster on laguna seca as the a4 or tt TC's with great tunes... (praiano)

Some of my favourites. Some are really fast, all of them though are pure joy to drive.I have in parenthesis the stock tuning cars.
FF:Honda Integra Type R(DC2)'95,Renault Clio RS,Alfa Romeo GTV 3,0V6(Spoon Civic EK)
FR:Toyota GT86,BMW M4,Mazda RX-7 Spirit R(Mugen S2000)(Amuse S2000 R1)
MR:McLaren MP4-12c,Ferrari 430 scuderia,Ferrari 458 italia,Honda NSX Type R
and AWD:Nissan GTR Black Edition,Lamborghini Gallardo,Subaru Impreza WRX STi '95

I understood how much joy I was missing all those years when I purchaced the DFGT

I`ve been using the Spoon Civic EK for testing, and I agree it is a wonderful car to drive as is, just can`t bring myself to make a change to it.

I have both the 86's from 1983 and 2000, tuned, i will try them untuned! The same for the lfa.

The castrol supra i have from 1997, are the 2000 and 2001 model's interresting?

Thank you for your thought's,

My favorite street car to drive in the game is the Subaru S26 NBR Challenge Package. Such a well balanced car. Too bad it is severely underpowered. But no car drives better than it.

As far as race cars go, how can you not love the Honda HSV for its supreme balance and speed? It's the perfect Super GT500 car, the best car in that class by a mile.

i drove the:

- Subaru S26 NBR Challenge Package ; not very fast, but a lot of control and a pleasure to drive
- nsx '92; also not very fast but loose in a nice way and also big fun
- rx500; a rocket on ss, relatively fast and great control!

general thought: big fun to drive them all, thnx for the tips, and what a sound!!!

As stated above the m4 (for me) is near perfect out of the box. On sport hard you have grip when you need and smoke when you want it. It's fast without needing complete concentration to keep on the road. It's a blast to drive.

Also the nsx, f430 scuderia, aventador, and I really like the infinity vision car.

Just some thoughts...

I want to give the car the possibility to perform at his best, so i think it is ok to give him tires that let him drive comfortable and fast and i think a gearbox that allows to set the final gear ... I know it is not stock anymore but as i said it helps the "stock" car to perform at his best...
