I tried using cockpit view before, but found it unnatural because it seems to block way more of the road then when actually in a car. One way around this is to zoom in on the cockpit view which then seems similar to what I feel I see when actually driving. The big drawback with this is that it usually cuts off the rearview mirror. Is there anyway to fix this with settings?

As it stands now I can use bumper cam and see everything, but of course it's not as realistic. I can use cockpit view without zoom and see the full rearview mirro, but then it seems like way too much of the exterior view is blocked and it just doesn't seem natural. The althernative is to zoom in to make the exterior seem natural, but then I lose the rearview mirror.

Note to PD: Please update the cockpit views so that the FULL rearview mirror shows up in ALL cockpit views regardless of zoom.

Anyone have any suggestions. If I could keep my rearview mirror I'd love to drive with a zoomed cockpit

I was in a car last night, can't remember which one I will check later, and it had a reversing camera on the console!

Sounds awesome right? wrong... even with standard interior view I could only see half of it :( What is the point of putting in such an awesome feature if you can only see half of it!

:dunce:

You can't expect to drive very well in any of the cockpit views. There's just not enough graphics resolution to drive very well in that view. It's just there for fun.

Learn to switch views based on your circumstances on the track. You're going to want to be in 3rd person if you're near anyone and passing may occur.

I disagree . Lots of drivers on GTP are very fast in cockpit view . As for graphics resolution I disagree too . The game is still crystal clear & sharp on my 1080P 32" HDTV. Are you running a 14" SD TV or something ??

On your second point , I would say that comes down to driver preference . If your new to GT & are not experienced with overtaking / being overtaken , then maybe . Messing around changing views can lose you time and / or concentration . Experienced guys don't do this , we simply look left or right using the D-Pad on our wheel or a DS3 right stick or D-Pad setup & we're very aware of the cars around us.

I always use cockpit cam and have the same problem.
On some cars i use standard view, on some narrow. It depends on the car, i take a test drive and then decide. I also have noticed some race cars don't even have mirrors!

what has ALWAYS been bugging me in just about every racing game is that you can't see dust and tire smoke in the rear view mirror

What an awful idea.

Here's a crazy one: when I want to see my out of view rear view mirror, I move the camera slightly to one side... 👍
