Recruiting for new endurance championships

We do. Sorry. WMA is ours and ours only.

Aha sure so you bought the rights to the word WMA. Ok seems legit. First of all you really need to get that thought out of your head that WMA is yours. WMA only means one thing to me and that is that it's a word. It's not property of anyone. Let me give you an example so this gets through to you let's say we have Team Burst from Japan one of the most successful drifting teams ever. Just because someone already has that name doesn't mean I can't come and make a drift team called Team Burst. So before you start giving out orders like if your so special or something I suggest you think about it first.

It's different; you're on a site that already has a WMA.

It'd be like if there were two Team Bursts in Japan, and both were competing separately in the same series.

Or, if you will, imagine if there were two McLaren F1 teams, or two Chip Ganassi teams.

Oh, and, lastly, I promise you, you don't have to "buy rights" to a copyright. When I make music, that song is mine. When I take a photo, that's mine. It's called "intellectual property."

But, go ahead, tell braunracing to use copyright protected names.

He's welcome to use GTP Endurance Association, we don't care. But, stop trolling and looking for a fight.

Yes but that doesn't mean I can't make one.

Ok ya your getting mad because someone's naming something you made first so you think you own the copyrights aha your funny you know that. Remember this is a VIDEO GAME. A "Video Game".

I think you're not getting it...

Braun was apart of the 'current WMA.' He participated in Mel's WMA ITCC. He knows the group, and wanted this series to be apart of that WMA. Mel and I said we liked this idea, but we didn't like it enough to sanction it. We said we liked the idea, but would not sanction it.

Braun then comes here and has WMA written all over it. He even had my name, and Mel's names all over the first paragraph. I thought he must have ran it past Mel, because it would be crazy for him to pull a stunt like that when he just got banned from another WMA series for cheating and blocking.

I PMed Braun telling him to take my name out of the OP, and he did. I wasn't going to be associated with this.

Summarized:

Braun isn't making his own WMA, he tried to use the WMA that Mel and I are apart of. In our organization we have rules about what we sanction and what we don't. Braun did not follow those rules, so Mel stepped in.

The only person who's done anything wrong is Braun. He has since fixed the problems, so we can move on.

It was not of my own accord, for the record. And I only put the WMA name in there because I thought hooking up with an established organization would help get them some recognition and exposure, drawing potential participants. I have no experience in running a racing organization, hence the effort to link up with an established, existing one. And you never told me you weren't sanctioning it. Maybe if you'd actually said something along those lines, we wouldn't have had this f:censored:ing fiasco!
I'd also like to say that Mel may do a decent job running the WMA, but he clearly knows nothing about offending others. He's nothing but a tyrant. How would you like it if the car you chose was not a dominant one, but still had restrictions imposed on it? Well, that's exactly the situation I was in with the ITCC. Despite being quick in a straight line, the car I used, a 2010 VW Scirocco R, was anywhere from 1-3 seconds per lap off the pace of the leaders. I didn't see anything done to slow them down. I was a victim of what I would call "performance envy". That's right. Just because a car is quick in a straight line, that doesn't mean its overall lap is gonna be quick. One of the best examples I can think of came from the 2000 24 Hours of Le Mans, where a Courage-Judd had a 10mph advantage down the longer straights, yet was 3-4mph slower per lap than the Audi R8s. Even the Cadillac Northstar LMPs, which were even slower over the overall lap than the Courage-Judd, could keep up with the Audis in a straight line.
It came to a head at High Speed Ring, a track I thought I could stand a chance at. But no. I was forced to run at 236hp, 40 down on some of the others. I complied with this, but were it not for that, the questionable block might never have happened. Apparently, Mel and Co. don't seem to care. HSR and Daytona Road Course were the only two tracks the Scirocco could've really been competitive. Everywhere else, mid-field was the best it could do. Again, this is something Mel and his co-horts seem to not grasp. He's nothing but a tyrant. It's either his way, or no way. And heaven forbid someone should express their disgust with it, like I did, they get silenced. That's what really happened. And to think I was considering him for stewarding duties for my endurance championships earlier. Unless you're attitude changes and I can come back to the ITCC, I'm gonna consider someone else for the position.
You tell us to move on, polarbear345, yet you come here digging up the past and re-opening a healing wound? If you're suggesting we bury the hatchet, I say, "Yeah. In your f:censored:ing back, man!"

The "restrictor plates" were put on the Scirocco for High Speed Ring. The idea behind the High Speed Ring race, was a fun, "here, draft off of each other for some increasingly close competition."

My idea worked. We had the closest margin of victory, ever, in a WMA event, separating the top 5 cars. It doesn't get any closer than that.

In fact, the BMW I'm running is still 0.5 seconds slower than the Scirocco you're calling "slow." Beyond that, it was even faster than my BMW on 236 hp. You were reasonably fast, but, you're not an alien. Paulmac, cnd01, sakery, LancerEvo7, polarbear, and I are border-line "alien" fast. We (specifically cnd01 and Paulmac) are fast enough to be compared to "other worldly beings," or "so fast it's out of this world."

You signed up for a series offering $200 in prizes, and you weren't doing badly, at all. But, were you not expecting that it would bring out some of the most talented, fastest, and most well-trained touring car drivers? Even I'm a second or two off of qualifying pace, at some tracks. Yet, Batista, in the same car, at the same specs, is on qualifying pace, and is much faster than me.

Face it, people will always be faster. Remember how you ran 1:10s at Grand Valley East with 276 hp in your Scirocco? For the sake of testing, I ran 276 hp at Grand Valley East. I got a 1:08 lap time. You're fast, (faster than whiskymaser, for example,) but, you're not as fast as you think.

It's sort of a case where if you stick your head up, to look around, you might see a sniper, and either duck down, taking cover, or stand up and yell "hey, you're cheating, you've got a sniper rifle, and you just shot my gun! Now what do I do? Now how do I beat you?"

The reason you were banned from ITCC, was because you didn't listen to the Series Director; it's called "disobedience," or, otherwise, you're just saying that you don't feel that the rules apply equally to you.

I've given penalties out equally in ITCC, since the start of the second season. I gave whiskymaser the first penalty. Then, I warned you about your conduct, privately, asking you to drive with a little more courtesy, and ensure that you run at the specs given for your car, for close competition, based on the performance of the car, not the driver. Then, High Speed Ring happened; you were unhappy, so you boycotted the spec change.

Then, you went on a rampage, bumping cars where you shouldn't have, and one of those bumps knocked you out of the draft; not my problem. I was behind you, because I accidentally rubbed a wall trying to pass Sakery. Oops. Then, I was in your draft, slipstreaming, and you blocked me, numerous times. Then, I asked you to leave, since your connection was causing an issue, you weren't coming on to the track when called, and you were failing pre-race tech inspection. You threw a temper tantrum, and held us up for five minutes. I said we would be running a tight schedule this season. You were removed because you couldn't fall in line with the most simple of rules: "Don't interrupt a race, don't cause a postponement, don't delay our schedule." Then, your car didn't pass pre-race tech inspection, and you entered the track at the same time as the Honda Civic, effectively telling me that you had put your car up to 276 hp, and that you were running 40 more horsepower than you were allotted.

You weren't removed because of the blocking. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. You were removed because you didn't care to even try to follow the rules. You complained, you argued, and you delayed/boycotted the race. Then, when you were kindly and privately asked to leave, for the sake of no further delays, you didn't. You entered the track, and got into the race. That's unacceptable conduct, it's insubordination.

Oh, and, don't think you're the only one who's being penalized, and forced to follow the rules. I gave myself a penalty, too, because I tried a pass and it went south. The other driver didn't mind too much, but, it's besides the point. Everyone, including my best friend and I, are all being forced to follow the same rule set. Everyone. No exceptions. Everyone was expected to follow the same rules, and the rules apply to everyone equally. Don't bother telling me that I'm being biased. I'm definitely not biased at all. If I were legitimately biased, there'd be a bonus point in every race, just for being Canadian, and bonus points for driving a Nissan or a BMW, and bonus points for speaking English, French, Spanish, and German fluently. I could be biased, but, what's the fun in cheating to win?

Cheating to win isn't going to make you feel better about yourself. It's not going to make you a better driver. It's not even going to award you the $80 worth in prizes to the championship winner. There's no reason to cheat. Anyone caught cheating is held responsible, equally, honestly, openly, and fairly.

If you hadn't put those restrictions my car, I wouldn't have done so. Guess that never crossed your mind, did it? And seriously, you sound like a broken record. Not biased? Yeah, right! I don't buy that bulls:censored:! Either have something new to say and undo the ban, or get the f:censored: out of my thread! This is the ultimatum, Mel! You, polarbear345, KingSakery, and whoever that mod was who intruded earlier are barred from competition in the GTPlanet Production Car Endurance Championship indefinitely! Keep up this bashing, and it will be permanently!

I'm seriously considering forming an alliance with an established organization for areas like in-race stewarding, rules enforcing, etc. Especially since I have very little experience in those areas.
