I may be wrong, but I think the Japanese version of credits is different to the rest of ours. What we pay 1,000,000 for they pay 10,000,000 maybe more.

They have different currency in Japanese versions of GT5, but it still translates to 20 million, I hope.

Anybody think that they have tamed it down for a reason? Like maybe someone is actually making one of these for real?

I mean kaz was involved with the making of the Nissan GT-R (not sure to what extent) but maybe the time has come to actually build one "with limits" After all Kaz is a man who likes to make dreams and visions a reality.

Edit: Kazunori worked on the in-car information screens, and was given a GT-R for his efforts

I'm thinking the same. It has been pointed out that the RedBull creates lateral G's that are too high for humans to drive it and current tyre technology to work. The 5G I feel is at the limit of what current tyre technology and the human body can cope with. If this is the case, a fully working version is potentially feasible, provided someone stumps up the necessary funding. I for one would like to see a RedBull 5G in garage 56 at LeMans in the near future

The original X1 is exactly as feasible from a human body and tire standpoint. If there is a limit, just don't exceed it. Don't forget that every airliner you've ever flown in is capable of ripping its wings off just by flying in a straight line. That's not a problem, the pilot just doesn't let that happen.

No one is building it anyway in all likelihood.

I'm pissed off with this "exclusive" regional bonus. Kind of racism mentality, maybe not racism, but for sure they are trolling lot of people around the World. This is a bloody fantasy car, created with Redbull, PD own the copyrights, so What's the problem? Release it for everyone. No, I'm not asking the car for free.

Anyway I'm so glad I've stopped playing GT5 now. I play Enduracers mod regoularly because I have everything I don't have in GT5 and come to Gtplanet just to read about how PD intend to troll their fans.

Exactly. The Japanese 1 yen is the equivalent of 1 cent and 100 yen of 1 dollar these days. (1 yen used to be the equivalent of 1 dollar.) To arrive at a roughly equivalent amount, at least if you are used to dollar nations like America and Australia and you are buying something in Japan, you can remove the last two zeros to get a quick, rough idea: ¥10,000 = $100*.

*Obviously this is ignoring exchange rates.

We actually don't get a 5G, though it is unlocked via the download on the PSN which means it was part of the 2.08 patch. At this time we can only drive it in that event. It's not available for anything else nor is it in our garage. It's not even tunable.

The Redbull 5G site does say that after the event (no date given) those who participated will receive a 5G as a 'present' but it is kind of lacking in details.

The car is pretty sweet, though, so I hope everyone gets it.

I was wondering the same.. Having a X1 that's actually drivable by the more average racer would be awesome. The current X1 is just overkill, such a cool car needs to be more manageable so it can be used and enjoyed more.

It's a shame to see the car go to waste if it's left in it's current state...

But..I believe there is a hacked x2010 with the 5G body shell. But just the body shell, I think it still has the same HP.

There is a hacked 5G available that has all the 5G's parts. Really I think it should be called an 'unlocked' car rather than a hybrid.

The only reason to get the 5G is that you can paint it any color you want, and it comes in a Red Bull livery
