my best time at redrock valley is 4:38.327 , my best lap time is 52.414 of course I was using the Escudo

I've never tried this track with the Escudo. How did you get it to handle? My best time is around 5:22 with the LM Cerbera. That with my best lap being in the 58-59 second range

well Gil the settings are like this :gears 16 or 17 :suspension lower it all the way stabilizer on 4,4 :downforce all the way up. here's the trick I use a manual tranny and start full throttle in 2nd gear shifting at about 70mph anyway you have to go very fast into the high bank turns , turn hard as you can, if you are going fast enough the car will seem like it is glued to the track , the first turn after the long striaght I usually hit at about 215 just keep it floored and turn as hard as you can , use this technique in other turns also , practice practice practice you will get it . this seems to only work with the escudo although I have had other car behave like that on this track but not as well (SR Wide Body)

HEY PEOPLE WHY DID THE Japanese TAKE OUT THIS EXCELLENT TRACK AWAY FROM GT3 IT WOULD HAVE LOOKED SO GOOD ON PS2, ANY REASONS FOR THAT?

Because it gives us a reason to go back to GT 2. The closest comparison is Tokyo R246. It ain't no 1 minute track. But it is about the same intensity.

Midfield is my Favorite track in GT 3. It's where I test my cars. If I can run 1:15 at Midfield with little effort in a "street car" I know I have it set up well.
Race cars have to run under 1:02 to make me happy with setup.
In GT 2. Ripping a good run at Red Rock. 1:05 or below means you can beat the WHATEVER the AI sends out in GT All-Stars. Actually, if you're laying down consistent 1:10's you can decimate all. As for me, I like a healthy cushion in case I lose the car in the last turn.

you are all very funny but no one has said that they could beat my time , so I must declare myself champion of Red Rock Valley :suzuki:

Haven't had time to play with this. I've been working on another GT3 Challenge. So, for the time being, You DA MAN. :D

I don't use Speed 12 for 2 reasons:

1. The annoying engine :grumpy:
2. Just gotta clip a wall and your majorly spinning out

I did 59:xxx in the Suzuki Escudo

:suzuki:

Well single lap record since I started playing with the gt2 game again is 1:06 with the r390 gt road car.
Thats manually shifting and with 636 hp.
Not a bad time.
I do want to break my record of 1:00 since my driving has improved and am now manual compared to when I was driving auto a year or so ago.
Not sure what car Ill do that with, but cant wait to try soon.

Oh, just wanted to say, thats a heck of a good time there.
I remember a couple of years ago when this site was small and they were all running 56-57 second laps on Red Rock.
My how times have changed, literally. :odd:

Here's some times...

Red Rock Valley
1:06.333 Calibra Touring Car
1:06.500 Skyline Silhouette Formula R30

Red Rock Reverse:
1:04.417 Altezza LM edition

I don't plan on messing with the Escudo.

:D

Well, on the GT2 game, with the Toyota GT-ONE Road Version
@ Red Rock Valley with manual transmission and all mods.

On Regular Course; Best Lap Time; 1:02.164
Sec. 1: 14.167 2: 15.456 3: 19.636 4: 12.905 @ top speed 208.49
On Reverse Course; Best Lap Time; 1:02.214
Sec. 1: 11.360 2: 19.535 3: 16.490 4: 14.829 @top speed 208.92

With top hp @ 985

I haven't tried the Escudo Pikes Peak Version. I've only run the Escudo on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Track.
And after reading the top speeds that you guys turned in with the Escudo, I just turned around and ran these speeds with the
Toyota GT-ONE Road Version. I turned the Lap Time of 1:02.164 on the Regular Course in 6 Laps. And the Reverse Track 1:02.214
in 8 Laps.
On Fathers Day; I don't think these times are real bad. :D
