The FC RX7 being paid for DLC when it's been a standard inclusion in prior FM games and another S14 as DLC is just taking the absolute piss.

The M4 GTS is also taking it. Almost as badly.

Well, I just saw what's in the new car pack and honestly; the only car I don't care for in the pack is the M4 GTS. I honestly didn't see a point in adding that, I would have rather seen some other BMW than the track focused M4 GTS. The i8, the 3.0 CSL again, the e60 M5, the e63 M6, and the list goes on really.

Well, the Silvia S14 K's Aero next to the M4 is probably the most redundant car they added to the pack as there was already a S14 in this game, so I see why people would be annoyed with that car added. However, I'm happy to see it in the game, because that was the S14 I preferred. Though, if I had it my way; the unicorn car would be the Kouki S14 and there would be a Silvia 240RS as the dlc car.

I'm very excited to try the others aswell, especially the VIPER!

My Car Pack from the "create your own DLC" thread is 1/7th complete ;D

Just need you to get on good terms with VW again now :P

Very glad I didn't stump for the car pass, total swing and a miss for me.

Also, I find it insane that those with the Ultimate Edition don't get the expansions. Absolutely ludicrous.

Ultimate owners can buy the "Expansion Pass" for $25 before the end of 2016, which is an alright move in the face of each one costing $20.

But yeah, it is getting a little ridiculous, price-wise. $100 for the Ultimate edition, plus $25-40 for expansions, plus $7 per car pack that arrives outside of the Pass.

I don't mind spending it on a game I know I'll play for a long time, but I wouldn't doubt the total cost, paired with the fact the series is on a yearly release cycle, is partially why the games just aren't hitting the sales numbers of the past.

On the other side of the spectrum, I bet Ar12 gaming is like a little Kid on Christmas Morning right now.

I can guarantee a video will be posted within an hour of the pack dropping. In it, he won't even try it stock; he'll just put a V8 in it, slap a Rocket Bunny kit on, 'drift' (with all of the assists on) and watch the YouTube money roll in.

So long as people keep buying DLC, the publishers will consider it acceptable.

Vote with your wallet :)

What's interesting now is we have 3 Special Lotus edition cars in the games (Not including actual Lotus themselves)

Ford "Lotus" Cortina (How dare it be left hand drive)
Talbot "Lotus" Sunbeam
Vauxhall "Lotus" Carlton.

Not sure if any others exist but pretty cools none the less.
Isuzu "Handling by Lotus" Piazza.

Any news if the car pack will unlock some new Horizon Edition cars to collect?
Patch notes haven't been published yet.

I'm curious to see what the Barn Find is, but other than that I'm not interested. The game has 400 cars already and I don't need any more outside of those. Then again, I'm probably not the target market anyways. :)

There are really only two cars in this DLC that really appeal to me, but you know what? That's good enough for me. They are the Talbot Lotus Sunbeam (c'mon, Peugeot, settle on a brand name already), and the Ford Falcon. I'm sure the NSX and all the rest are fine, but they mostly make me say "Meh." Hopefully the new barn find will be a winner.

If I may put my own five cents on this new DLC thing, it suffers from an issue the previous one had; it's too modern car-heavy. Three sports cars, two of them being track-focused ones (and both being tuned versions of already existing ones), two 1990 drift weapons with one being another S14 (as if that was necessary)...

It feels like the Hoonigan teens decided what should be in the pack, or so I think anyways. At least there are some rays of sun, represented by the classic metal; the Sunbeam more than deserves a spot, and this game can definitely use more Aussie cars like the Falcob even if they come through DLC packs.

Now, what needs to happen is a clear opposite of what happened with this pack; the modern sports cars and overrated drift babies being ousted as minorities and classic cars being the main focus...
