I tend to AWD swap everything I race online because it helps keep people from pushing me away from checkpoints on purpose...

I tend to go no lower than B, because C down belongs to 1500 hp awd monsters sliding around on stock tires because of the broken PI system.

I'm really curious as to what will happen to players who won't be able to get the barn find rumor.... I won't be anywhere near a PC in April.

I know, but it just feels....dirty having an "accessible" car that's locked away by a weekly event. Pacer isn't worth whatever ridiculous price people might ask on the auction house to me.

I can't complain too much about the Forzathon free cars, but it really does give off that vibe of the latest Hitman game with the Elusive Targets. Basically.... "good luck buying this used." It just bothers me.

It shouldn't get to high up there considering the cap, which considering the car should either be 28,000 or 39,000 (I can't imagine the Pacer being valued at more than 35,000).

Calling it now. Porsche expansion coming next week, RWB kits included, Porsche 917LH as a barn find.

Is there someone you know and trust who also has FH3? You could have them log in as you, get the barn find and then log back out again.

$10 seems like a decent price for the BM expansion. So what am I missing out on by not getting it?

  • Driving on snow and ice is quite different to anything in the base game.
  • Blizzard Mountain is full of elevation changes, hairpin turns and big jumps.
  • There are about 40 race routes and a separate career progression system.
The cars you get with the expansion aren't all that memorable in the context of the game as a whole (they're neat additions but outclassed by the rally cars in the base game) but the rest of the expansion is well worth the money.

However, also eyeing the VIP pass as the boost in earnings is something I badly need (no, I'm not going to drive around doing XP drills and Goliath races to rack up cash). I'd rather win serious cash from actual events and championships. No wonder my Forza 6 earnings are so ridiculously high as I have the VIP Pass.
 
For $10 Blizzard Mountain is certainly worth it.

I have a feeling they designed the game's economy with the VIP bonus in mind as it seems to hit a nice middle ground between FM6's money throwing and the base game's "grind for everything" economy. I usually do 10 lap races and on average I get 50,000/race, which is much better than the 25,000 a non-vip would get.
 
I am not one for grinding all the time, I do run Goliath occasionally, lately in non HE cars too just because I like the track. I do have a skill point farm though lol. In 20 minutes I can get around 100 with the Bac Mono HE, it seems to have a double strong speed skills boost compared to my XJ220, the Merc I haven't tried to compare.

So just driving 220 mph on the Highway dodging traffic (without drivatards, blueprint BL) skill points come quickly and efficiently compared to spinning around and round endlessly in a farm, or the airport.
 
I'm a painter so I have a regular stream of CR coming in whenever I log on, this is what a week or so of downloads looks like:

Also, I use very few cars (a maximum of 5 per Class) which explains the 84 million in the bank ;)

So I popped into Forza Horizon 3 a few minutes ago and see that my download numbers have shot up. Looks like the Tic Tac Fiesta got 8000 downloads overnight :embarrassed:

Seems like the perfect storm of circumstances:
  • Featured Design
  • Car is required for a #Forzathon event.
  • #Forzathon event rewards players with a highly desired prize.
In summary: a large number of players want the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, are buying the Fiesta for the purpose of winning it, and my design is the first they see when they are asked to put a paint on the car before buying.

Regarding the latest Forzathon, I don't think i have come across Playground Games events so I don't really know what they are and when it says complete any event to win the Suburu Brat HE does that mean any event in any car?!

From the start menu go to Online Adventure, than Custom Adventure followed by Games Only. From there you can select from a certain class or fan vote. I would recommend doing a specific class (I prefer A class as the cars are fast but not fast enough to attract as many idiots as the S classes).

The games are pretty simple, Flag Rush is capture the flag, while Infected and King are pretty much tag with opposite goals (Infected you don't want to get tagged, while in King you do want to be "it"). Flag Rush sucks but the other two can be good fun.

Yes, although there seems to be an issue with it and you may not even have to complete an event to trigger it (I "completed" it just by leaving the garage.

It technically is an event. Events don't always mean races or skill zones.

The only screens that seem to take forever on XB1 are the initial loading screen and any related to the auction house.
