I was just about to post that pic. But yeh, the ricers have already caught on. We're just gonna have to sit it out and wait. It'll pass.

i wonder if ppl are gonna take ff cars and call them drifters... lol...

imagine all the riced civics, intigras, accords, etc... taking to the streets pulling handbrakes... i mean its a whole lot cheaper than putting **** in you engine... just get a body kit... and you are good to go... the suspension should hold up for a while...
i cant wait until some civic stops dead becuase the tires are soo flat that the dude isnt even ass dragging... hes rim riding... woo hoo... :irked:

or wait lets pay people to chamber the **** out of our wheels and lower the car so much that we have no travel what so ever and the wheels rub the wheel arches... thats gonna be so cool... :irked:

its so hard to wait quietly... cant we throw rocks at all of them???
 
well it can be done ( left foot braking, e brake, and general oversteer all help)... esp on touge... but how many ppl are gonna be good enough driving there ff to drift it without relying heavily on hte handbrake... please bring hte site here tho... i would love a look at it... anyways that was not meant to start a ff fr arguement...
 
Now it's a good time to start a tire company.

Let's say some ricer has all four 17/18 inch rims on a Civic and go powerslide for 30 mins on Fridays and Saturdays. That'll probably waste just about all the treads on the rear tires during this period. Then they'll rotate their tires and do the same thing for another week. With all four tires done it's time to replace their tires... a typical set of Firestone tires will cost you around FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS plus the required installation fee and alignment fee if needed. That's almost a paycheck for a full time job. If there are 2,000 ricers doing that at the same time and the tires sell about 30% of the MSRP, then you'll earn:

400 X 2000 X .7 = 560,000 dollars of profit. Paid all the business loans AND win a lottery in 2 weeks!

wtf? the fronts on a civic would get were out WAY faster then the rears especially if there trying to drift it. when they pull the e-brake and hit the gas it will light up the fronts very well.;)

OMG... Have you even ever opened a Super Street? Can you read? I had no idea that the top tuner cars in the world qualified as rice. Or maybe you were referring to all the drift cars? I'm sure Signal, Yashio Factory, HKS, Top Scret, Top Fuel, etc will be glad to know that all along they were "ricers". I mean, you being so great and important and all, they should listen to you.
Or maybe you were referrinf to all the "ricer" ads in the magazine? Your tiny brain can't understand the concept of financial needs. Super Street needs to pay it's bills too, I doubt they care who advertises what in their magazine. Super Street is a great magazine, I will gladly keep my subscription. Sport Compact Car is another good magazine too.


I'm sure you think Import Tuner is a good mag then huh? All those sweet cars they got in there an all...
 
umm not true a lowered civic on 17 or 18s must be cambered out soo actually the back would wear out,, also most street drifters dont spend 2000 on tires,, mos of them buy kuhmo 215x45 is about 120 bucks that 480 for a set
 
Anyone with common sense would just buy some cheap wheels from the junk yard to put on the rear instead of buyig a brand new set of tires to destroy. Or you can just stick to rain dori.
 
I live in Kentucky so I don't have to really worry it because WE ARE 100 YEARS BEHIND EVERYTHING ELSE! I'm just now seeing ricers pop up so drifters won't be around till I'm probably in College. But by then my friends and I will be drifting so we can smack them down and only help the ones who are non ricers.

Off Topic- Are there any good drift mags in america? I know about the ones in Japan but shipping it would cost me a crap load.
 
quite honestly im very frightened :P I live in NYC, and im not sure what people do in your states... but here we have lots of integras and civics slammed to the floor... so low that they lose control when they hit a pothole -_- They build up their cars to like 400hp...which ofc is totaly rediculous for front wheel drive cars that have engine blocks only build to hold a dainty 130hp or something :P so... all I can see in the future is a lot of 400hp civics/integras flying into storefronts because they can't handle the power they put in their cars and took the turns too fast. *sigh*, be afraid :(
 
Are we gonna be stoning some folks? Sounds like fun. Put dents in those rice rockets that think they can drift. Show them what drifting does to your car. They probably won't even know that their tires are getting worn out so much until they fall off a cliff.

Oh, and I live in So. Cal. where we have ricers gallore. (That darn Fast & Furious really got some water boiling.) So imagine when drifting catches on (and when Initial D comes to the states). Maybe we can start a towing company, too, to get their cars out of the pine trees on the side of the road.
 
I just wanted to let you know, that Racingflix.com has some new movies one is a touge battle between a couple cars. a ITR Vs a S14 Silvia, a MRS Vs a S15 and the intro is a AE86 Vs a GTR, and it's sort of a joke but a race none the less....Not to mention another JDM supercar challenge.

i could probably tell you who they are by name. but i wont :lol: way too many immature fanboys coming around here...with their high horsepower and staggered tire compounds. the skilled drifters are still around though..
