Should team mates have the same colour/number car?

Anyway I've got 22 yellow (x2), 55 blue and 33 black so who ever wants to be my team mate or needs a team mate, let me know.

Hey guys, before I completely update the registration I guess I should have noted that teammates should both be using the same color car. If you need a certain color, I have extras of this car if you want to swap for a color you need. That way there is less confusion come race time. 👍

Edit: @ StigsHero: It doesn't matter how many of each type of car we get, they're all 100% identical except for the name. I think I read on Wiki that the reason some of them are called a Lutecia is because another car manufacturer in Japan was using the name "Clio" so they had to change it.

If they are the same color, I think it would be best to have differing numbers between the team-mates. But.....with the somewhat limited possible combination's that may not really be possible because we might run out of number/colors before we fill the grid. So I'd say team-mates should probably have the same numbers and colors.

Agreed on the first point! Having each team in a both a Clio and Lutecia would be cool, if we can make it work. Or even having the same per team, Clio's vs. Lutecia's! Love it! 👍

When I dupe a car, I save my game file onto a thumbdrive and then start up GT5 from the disc. I chose the car and send it off, then quit the game. Go up from the disc icon in the XMB until you see your thumbdrive. Click there and you will see your GT5 saved game data. Hit triangle and you will see the option to "copy". It will say something like "a file already exists with this name. do you want to overwrite it?" to which you will reply "yes". Now when you load up GT5 the car you sent will still be in your garage.

It sounds like the error you got may be due to using different accounts. I would presume this all has to be done under the same account. So copy your R1600Turbo (or whatever your PSN account ID is) saved game data to a thumbdrive, and as long as you stayed logged in as R1600Turbo it should work out.

I can do that. However, let me look things over when I get home because as StigsHero and I were talking about, teammates will be paired based on color and number so we'll have to get that straightened out. Once I confirm that the numbers are different between the Clio and the Lutecia, then we can have people decide which color their team cars will be.

BTW, Wardez has informed me that Turbo's cars smell like vinegar so if he sends you one you might want to take it to GTAuto for a deep cleaning.

My confidential informant tells me that he has a black Clio and a black Lutecia and they are both numbered 33, so it appears the numbering might be random. I haven't confirmed this but thought I'd pass it along.

LOL I think that was probably the point, a joke that doesn't really make sense. Obviously you couldn't do anything to make your cars smell like vinegar since they don't really exist and thus have no odor. I told him you had some to pass out if needed and he said "RT's cars smell like vinegar. No thanks. TO THE OCD I GO!"

I'm laughing harder just trying to explain this, and getting more weird looks. He's just ribbing ya. Or maybe he knows something that I don't? haha

Seems the options are slim, but just right. There are 8 possible numbers/colors (per car) so if each team uses the same color/number we have 16 available combinations.

So I guess now the question is do you want both teammates to be in the same model or have 1 teammate in a Clio and 1 in a Lutecia? Looks like it will balance out with the numbers/colors either way (i.e. Owens can be in the Black #33 Clio and I can be in the Black #33 Lutecia or we can both be in Black #33 Clio's, etc.).

Doesn't matter actually.

I just put an "available cars" list on the registration post, showing how many of each color are available. Black is not on the list because it has been taken.
