Since most people on GTP dislike the X1, PD could implement landspeed record cars to replace the X1.

It is probably too late to put them in the game, just an idea.

The X1 is fine. It's a realistic and interesting concept. With improved physics, it should only get better.

No offense, bu you do not speak for me when it comes to the X1 and its place in Gran Turismo.

Just because some people here don't like it, that doesn't mean it needs to be replaced.

The X1 is an interesting vehicle to me because of the collaboration of PDI/Red Bull and the technology it represents.

PDI.. by all means, INCLUDE it in GT6!

Land speed record cars would likely underwhelm on a circuit. They aren't built for agility; only for straight-line speed. This is different from the X2010, which was fast at all aspects of vehicle performance.

I agree with IceMan PJN concerning the land speed record cars. Just wouldn't fit in the game. I would like to see the X1 carried over. I would also like to see something new. I've grown rather accustomed to seeing one oddball car in the GT series. However, if they want to include the Bonneville salt flats, I wouldn't complain.

very true, though i've nothing against these cars. but the X1 should be implemented too

I think the X1 deserves to be in GT6 too, but it should probably be nerfed to become more realistic, reducing the effect of the fan.

Not that I doubt the physics behind the fan, the Chaparral 2J is said to be able to stick to the ceiling with the fan running at full speed (generating more than 1G of downforce), but it's nore very realistic that a car such as the X1 would be possible to drive by a human being, because of the lateral G forces and the reaction time needed. On big oval tracks it would be plausible, but on the other hand you don't need a fan on those tracks...

There's nothing wrong with the X1. Perhaps they could do it like GT2 and implement horsepower restrictions, along with how they did region restrictions in GT5 to stop people from just using the X1 to win all the races.
