Which version of the tune are you running ?

I started with your original v6 I think it was TurboDatto… and mucked around with the shock settings that the DynoTune app from the Tuner forum.
I also greatly reduced the rear camber. It makes it difficult to keep the rear from stepping out mid corner, but by squaring the car up on exists you can really get on the gas full throttle a lot earlier and look after the rear tyre wear.

That’s actually pretty damn good. I am struggling to get the Sauber into the 22 minute mark. I think someone has done a 22:47 in the Sauber…. I cannot see how at the moment must be missing something.

1 way to find out 😁, might be a faster lap time and slightly worse on tyre degradation? That’s my guess…. Just looking forward to giving it a go.

So the new physics made the cars faster which it why the pp is alot more my 800 went up to 834pp testing the same setup in time trial i was able to do a 1:25:8 and lots of low 1:26 laps pretty easy lets how how fast 800 builds are now probably decently slower then previous setups

Tuning the car back to 800pp and i managed a 1:30:9 so 5 seconds slower

Yeap….. 24 minute mark will be hard to break. I had about 10 beers and managed 1:31 in the race. The car feels good but the straight line speed is non existent now. 33 second first sector where it used to be 30’s or mid 29’s.

The car is definitely still fun to drive…. Maybe the 800pp is proper…. If you have an 800pp car you can do the same lap time?

There was a huge amount of fuel ⛽️ so no worrying about saving fuel for the Nissan.

So long fast times… not sure how I feel about it now. I honestly thought it would add more strategic element so you could get the most out of the tyre and fuel combination. It is now massively dumbed down… fuel is much easier to manage and the tyres didn’t degrade as much as they did before.

Keen to hear everyone’s perspective now the historic numbers are now dead in the water.

Don’t have my knickers in a knot ….. maybe I do. 🤣

I was about 45 secs slower once I put on the mediums and adjusted tuning back on the 787B. I might try with the hards later. It feels better but the top end is just not there anymore. Braking is a lot more involved. I might try the Gr.2 SGT cars. The Merc GT1 was quick but not good enough on fuel to run a 1 stop.

Wow just went to use one of the 2016 p1 cars and my 919 went from 799 to 810, the ts050 went from 799 to 812.

Full BS this is to force people to use GR3 cars which I have no interest in doing so.

Tire multiplier also changed. It was x12, now it's 8x. I'd suggest that we should make new post 1.49 thread, because so many things have changed, and the really detailed starting post of this thread doesn't match the current state anymore. And it hasn't been updated in almost a year. Old times and setups only cause confusion.

That was my first run after update 1.49. I can easily go 10 seconds faster on the racetime. A good laptime is a low 28 or maybe even a high 27. 1:28.4 was the fastest so far. I used the old setup with RH and less power.

Tried another run today, had a 0.5 sec penalty lost 1.5 sec with that otherwise clean run but didnt have very good pace. I didnt change tyres but idk if thats faster. Is anyone from you guys going for a fast run atm?

Feels like the update 1.50 today changed the suspension a little bit. Car feels a little bit faster but tyre wear is higher.

I had a quick run with the Aston Martin Vulcan but I think it needs three fuel ⛽️ stops to be competitive? Also the cars with KERS or Hybrid units are not a lot of fun once they run out of juice. 🤣 damn Duracell 🔋 cars. 😜

These times are not all out balls to the wall.. just interesting to see what the difference if any since the update.

Edit. Strategy: 7 laps - pit in (no tire change) - 8 laps. FM1 the whole race.

Impossible to spin in this car. You can step on the gas without worry, even if half the car is on the grass.

Thanks, how did you get rear downforce above 1600? Rear spoilers seem to be unavailable at GT Auto. You have it set at 1996 but I can't get it above 1600.

Hey, I just checked it. It's no longer possible to go over 1600 downforce points. It must have changed after the July physics update.
