Replay Problems

I KNOW that there is another thread of this, but it's over 3 years old and was never resolved. I don't want to bump the thread. So here's the problem:

On the replay, either on Motorland or on Beginner's Course, in any car (but it seems to happen to lighter cars) pretty much EVERY time I do a track meet with more than 6 laps, in the first lap, my car smashes into the wall and doesn't budge. It gets battered around by the IA cars as a result of this. To add on top of this, the IAs that were in last place when I was doing the actual race, those cars get BETTER laps in the replay and end up passing me in the best-lap category. (It's like what the Peuegot Rally Car does in the Tahiti Maze race in GT2.) It's really annoying because I watch the replays to improve on my racing skills, but I can't improve on trying to break the wall down!

If this helps any, these are the cars that this happened with:

Nissan 240SX
Nissan 240SX S13
Lotus Elise
Lotus Elise Sport 190
Lotus Elise 111S
Lotus Elise 111R
Mazda 787B Race Car
BMW M5
Toyota Celica GT-R '91
Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus

That's all that I can remember for now. (And yes, this DOES happen with race cars...)

If there are any similarities between these cars (except that they're cars, have engines, a chassis, etc... >_>) that I don't see here and you know somethings that I should avoid, please tell me. I think it's just a glitch though, but if you know what it is, please tell me.

Thanks!

So basically, the replay shows you smashing into a wall, but you win the race anyways? Or am I to be confused on how much this doesn't make sense. Please explain.

I know that the reply isn't a video of you actually racing, its just data that the console puts together of what you should look like according to the data its given of what you did. As far as why it would be showing you smashing into the wall, thats a little puzzling.

I'm quite sure it actually records your race data, because i just botched a race horribly and it showed me doing so.

Yes it records your data, it doesn't record an actual video of you playing it. It takes the data from the race like, throttle input, braking, location on track, etc. and it compiles all of that into what you see. But it doesn't record the actual visual race, it compiles and creates what the race would look like. Have you tried another disk? Its a strange problem indeed. I was just thinking that there might be some problem in the area of it recreating the replay from the raw data into the video that you see:confused:

I have no idea what could be causing this problem. But I have seen in certain WRS weeks that if you go in an area of track you're not supposed to go, you can still turn a valid best lap but on the replay, the car will go straight off the course in the first corner and sit there. One that comes to mind is on Laguna Seca, where if you do a session where you use the pit road exit strip (on the inside of the first corner) on your fastest lap, then save the ghost replay, that will happen. Maybe something like that is going on here?

Sorry ^^ My last post was confusing... 11:00 and fueled on Pepsi MAX...

It happens on a Track Meet, which means that the best lap wins.

Whenever I win the race after 6 laps, on the first lap my car smashes into the wall and stays there.

If it matters, I have the NTSC version.

And yes, I have tried another disk, I have 2 and it still does that.
Possibly a NTSC glitch?

that happened to me too.., i was driving my Spoon Civic at Citta 'di Aria Normal.., as i was to watch the replay, my Spoon Civic went dead and rolled all the way down the steep final section.., i said a big "HUH???":odd:
