The DTMs are - out of the box - fairly easy to drive well. You may not be the driver you think. Keep practicing....
Just to keep on topic:
These are suggestions for you to begin experimenting from. Don't think you just gonna dial some numbers and Voila! All checkers! You have to think about what each setting does itself, and what they do together.
springs: raise them a bit from stock. The cars are light, lighter than JGTCs.
hieght: stock
bound and rebound keep at 8
camber: experiment tween 2.5 - 3.5, front 3 - 5 clix higher than rear
toe: a gift, for you, just coz I love the Ring: 2, both. Try it.
stabs: fairly high both. If the car oversteers, make the relationship "front > rear". If the car understeers, go "rear > front". Note I don't say numbers, I speak of relationships....
Tranny: set Final to 3.37, then move the Auto-set slide to where 5th reads 1.000
brakes: fairly high; set front 1 click more than rear. You been advised.....
But, just for S&Gs, switch the relation to rear higher than front, just to see...
OK, look, rear higher=oversteer, front higher=understeer. The higher all-round, the more likely to lock up and skid you are. Figure it out....
LSD: relations. Ratios. Accel fairly high, then multiples of that number.
The higher the number, the more the tires want to roll in sync. In the game that means if Accel is high, the outside rear wheel will "throw" the car in the corner's direction. If you modulate throttle, the effect will help you corner easier. If you stomp the throttle, it will likely send you into catastrophic oversteer. See what I mean about "Practice"?
In Decel, same effect, but since you may be braking, Decel and the Brakes settings may end up fighting each other. If you want to use the effect, you must learn to modulate Brakes too, or let the car coast thru the apex under Decel effect, then roll on the gas as you see daylight. Practice.
Last, and most important of all: Zero out all ASM, TSC, Ballast, all that happy horse-poop. I'm not gonna explain; you asked for help, there you go. Try it, see what let's you win...
Last last thing: set downforces to max, both.
