Nice of you to dredge up a 6 week old post to offer a link to GT4 tuneshop, however, if the author is still watching this thread, they would best be advised to aquaint themselves with the search function, as these cars have all had tunes posted perviously. Certainly new tunes and ideas are welcome, but since this is a resource, we can best serve the community by posting our tunes in as few conflicting or similar threads as possible, in order to facilitate the search.

How about some help with that Search function, since so many of you forum cops chastise people for posting without thoroughly searching.

Once you do the initial search, how do you further search the threads that are selected? Surely there is a sub-search or second search function available. Some of the threads that come up are 10 pages long. If there is no way to search within them, then I can easily understand why people post without reading through all of that stuff. There should be a way for a search function to select only the pertinent posts, and not the threads that contain them!

Pete.

If you want to search for something but only want the results of the search as posts, there is an option that says "Show results as _____."
If you want to initally search for threads, and then for posts within the threads, I don't think there is a way to do that.

Apologies to the threads' creator for the off topic post, but I promise it will be short. pmgolf this is your only warning: the next off topic post I see from you (this is a reply to one of several) will be reported and if I become motivated you may wish I hadn't. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the "terms of service agreement"and "acceptable use policy". I do not make the rules around here, but I try to politely as possible support them. If you want to post on a forum where there are no rules or pattern to follow you might best search elsewhere :)

If you actually take the time to read the search page you will see a little teeny radio button (thats the little circle with the little dot in the center) that allows you to select whether you want results listed as threads (default) or posts; there are also many other search narrowing functions without having to resort to "booleanisms."

I made few changes to the Minolta.
Springs: softened front 1.0
Height Lowered to 10mm from bottom front and rear
Bound 7/7
Rebound 7/7
Camber 2.5/1.5
LSD 20/40/15

The trick to the Minolta is tire selection. I keep Mediums on the front and put Hards on the rear. You will typically get 1 extra lap over the AI except for the Sauber. The Sauber has good tire wear and will pit with you with this setup. I'm not that great with Hards on the front. You get increased tire wear but loose handling. Also, this car is already one of the best LMP's so you really don't need the extra turbo. It will increase rear tire wear even worse. I only use extra turbo for my Bspec'er. Though typically if you qualify in 1st for him he can usually keep it without the turbo.

I've been looking around for some McLaren settings myself. I used my typical start settings with extra camber, LSD adjustments, and soften the front end, but cant seem to work out the understeer. I've played with toe a little as well. I think it is just that the car doesn't have good downforce. It is as fast as the LMP's but doesn't have the df of the LMP's.

I too would like a little advise on the McLaren.

Edit:
Sorry rk, didn't pay attention to the post date.
