Im saying, 6 cars for road car events and 16 for race car events.

No. Absolutely not.

At the real 24 hour races they have well over a hundred entries. That should be the long term target at long tracks. No reason you couldn't have 32 at Tsukuba. All cars, all options. To restrict competition becased a car is a road car is ludicrous.

On the other hand, I did take part in nearly 1000 Ferraris (in a friends) around Silverstone this time last year and it was a bit cramped :)

The only reason less would be better is if that was the only way to make the AI smarter and faster.
Other than that it's a ok number.
Would like to see a few more some day and a lot more on the long endurance ones.

Speaking of endurance races, I would love to see an ALMS type race available, where there are multiple classes of cars on the track at the same time.
It would be exciting dealing with slower GT class cars as you run a Prototype class car, or vice versa, driving a GT car while Prototypes wizz past you! :scared:

Oh, I definitely understand. Take for instance GT Academy. Thats real life and they only race 6 cars at a time or less. When they have trained properly then they get to race in a field of multiple race cars.

Other than people wanting more realism in the physics of GT as the real driving simulator, 5 AI cars is like a real beginning into the world of GT.

Single Races of 2 and 5 laps with 6 cars? OK for me
Endurance Races, Tournaments, Special Events? Hell NO!!!
