The only thing that is confirmed is that nothing is officially confirmed.

Lets just say it one more time.

Official Press release = 99.9% confirmed

Everything else = 0.01% confirmed.

Is GT5 more for the advanced player or can beginners play too?

We do have a setting for people who are just learning how to drive. The other setting is very strict, where even an F1 driver can learn new tricks from the system. However, a lot of driver's aids will be included, such as driving lines, ABS, automatic braking, you can reverse your game and record your laps and share them with others. All those things. They were not that difficult to implement.

Very interesting...

I think it's pretty bad that we can't trust words from KY's mouth anymore...

I agree. Do you remember, he said they can launch this game anytime. :grumpy: And since Ps1 he is notorious for last minute delays on his games.
Oh man I have a bad feeling GT 5 will be out in Dec 2010 in USA and Europe because Sony wants to bank on this game and a lot of game will be launch on the period of March( GOW3, Heavy Rain, Bioshock 2, etc.)

Good, the feature should be standard in any racing game at this point.
And the best part is - you dont have to use it, if you dont want to! So, stop whining people.

Its the fact that most people wont use the rewind feature, too me its wasted time and that space could be used for something else.

This is of course something else was dropped from the game to make room for the feature, which we have no evidence of.

Honestly I'm glad to hear the news that rewind could possibly be in the game. I find myself using it frequently in Forza to prevent me from having to start a race over again because I messed up.

"you can reverse your game"

While talking about driver aids...
?
How many racetracks do you have in GT5?
There are 20 different environments and around 70 different track layouts

Ugh... we still don't know more.

"Q: Does GT5 include damage to the cars?"

"A: Yes, and the demo has it"

Is he talking about that new SEMA demo? Are we going to see the latest damage build? Are there any videos of this demo? are my constant questions annoying?

Wow 400k polygons per car (Forza 3 is 300,000). Good thing he mentioned that for GT6 the development time is not this long. :)

I can beleive 400,000 polys because they modeled a lot of interior stuff pretty heavily... I wonder though if 400,000 is the ones with modeled engine bays or if they all have at least 400,000 or if that's an average?

In the end I guess it doesn't really matter as so far it looks spectacular.

👎

Rewind feature is... crap basicly.

I don't mind having rewind as a feature, I know I will be using it from time to time.

One way or another, I won't believe Rewind will be on GT5 until I see with my own eyes a gameplay video featuring Rewind. However, IF the feature is in the game, then I will burst to laughs.

While KY's words are always at least a bit open ended, I think all things considered rewind is very likely what he means although I imagine they might call it something different.

And I agree... rewind hasn't ruined Forza just like it hasn't ruined any other game it's in and even some who didn't think they would like/use it seem to have found a use for it so I think it will be the same in GT.

The feature will only be available with the DeLorean, though. 👎 Perhaps each car will get a special feature? 💡
