Finished downloading everything but now I'm having trouble using my debit card, so hopefully I'll get it sorted tomorrow and I'll have the game up and running by tomorrow afternoon!

It's all working! The FFB is spectacular! Just awesome! But how can I get the game to look good? All my settings are on the highest possible but it still looks pretty crappy... Any suggestions here? Using a 5770 graphics card.
Also, is it just me or does the GT-R feels pretty bad? The sound is horrible, almost no centering spring effect and pretty much a bad car overall... Anyone else getting this?

I know in the first rFactor I had no idea my resolution was on something like 600x400 or something else ridiculously low until relatively recently. Have you set that?

Jav, on the launcher app select the configure sim (or something), make sure the HDR option is enabled.

Lol! Same here! For rF2 they make it pretty clear that you need to adjust your resolution...

I saw it and checked it, also checked the FXX option and the HDR makes everything extremely bright! It's better, but still not good enough by today's standards. The GT3 mod for rF1 looks way better than what I'm getting. Let me grab a screenshot of my settings!

I assume you increased the visuals from within rF2's settings once launched. As a reference; how do your graphics compare to the videos I uploaded? By the way, I had to uninstall the GT mod from ISI, rF2 would not launch for some reason.

Alright this are my settings:

It looks nothing like that... I too had to uninstall and re-install it.

Jav, pcars is too ingrained into your head.

Lol! Perhaps, but in all seriousness I expected iRacing level graphics least...

Edit: Ok, here's what I'm getting:

Definitely not up to rF1 standards...

Are you having laggy problems at Monaco Jav? I did too. Does anyone hook up their computer to the TV? Because I have problems with Graphics. Any idea why?

OK, try turning everything off in the launcher config, then launch rF2 and do the same. Quit out. Re-start and re-enable your options only from the launcher, see what happens. If you have a new video card, check your settings/drivers. Otherwise I'm at a loss other than uninstalling/reinstalling, but why would that help.

Can you post a full-size screenshot? When you shrink them down to fit the forum it makes it hard to see any sort of detail :)

Will try that!

The last shot I posted is full sized, just cropped.

Turning the FXAA off definitely worked, the ultra brightness is now down to more acceptable levels. But still a bit off, gotta play arround with the settings to get better FPS wich are droping down to 20 on the main straght at Malasia with just 3 cars arround me on the pit steaight...
I'll get back on it tomorrow and let you guys know how it went!
Thank you for all the help guys! You rock!

Not mine.. Video belongs to Jameswesty from ISI forums but this is great, had to share:tup:

Ok, so made this video driving alone with no AI on track, certainly looks better and I can now see the potential of the game, but damn the other cars eat up the FPS like crazy!
Sorry for the granny driving, my front wing did not take part of this test! :P

That looks good Jav.

I do hope they improve the graphics while improving the frame rates. I also had some issues with as few as 9 cars on the track vs. no issues with 20+ cars in pCARS. Lots of work left for ISI to do, I'm sure they will deliver eventually.

Hopefully they will! I'm in love with the physics and FFB on the GT4 370Z!

Eventually being key word. pCars is in pre-alpha, rFactor 2 is supposedly more developed being in "beta" and yet its far less finished than pcars..

I have to agree with you, they are either holding out on us big time, or they are realy behind in development...

Okay Thanks.

They are definitely holding back on us, what we're getting is nowhere near this level, and there's clearly a long ways to go on this example but it certainly looks good:
Build 85(what we are running):

Closed Beta:

Indeed. From the previous Beta there is a big improvement, they must be slimming down and optimizing the code so it can run on less powerful PCs.

Makes sense, hopefully they are pretty close to completion and we will get the final product by November, hopefully before that!

Actually I don't expect rF2 gold before the end of this year because they came out too early with this Beta and this would be very disappointing!

As much as I don't want to say your right, you're right I think they put too much preassure on themselves by giving out release dates... But at least they are actually working on it and whenever the game is ready I'm sure it will be up there with the best of them!
Been doing some more driving and I have to say the old Spa is awesome! It just looks spectacular and the lighthing effects just give it that extra sense of immersion! There's still a lot of work, but you can see the brilliance of the title and the potential it has!
