Want some cheese with that Whine?

Now, where did I park My Yukon with the 22's again? Oh, thats right... its behind the escalade and Viper.... ahh, I dont feel like backing the Viper out tonight soI'll just take the bently.:P

Naw, seriously.. i can see your frustration and I can underatand it. But as a rich kid myself am I supposed to turn down a new car when my dad says " Pick any car under $125,000 and its yours"? Unfortuantly the world is full of different people at different ends of the earnings spectrum and I dont see any reason why we cant take advantage of the great opportunities that are given to us.

I think you might need to manage your money a bit better...;)
Some rich kids are ok, some rich kids are bad...it's the same with all people, that's why I don't think you can generalise it...:) I'm not a rich kid myself, more middleclass. :)

Where the hell did this Bentley come from?:odd: Where are those pictures that you told us we'd see of the truck on 22's? AFAIK you only showed us the one from that website.

I've had a '97 Z28, '01 S2000, '99 Z28, '95 Lexus GS300, '01 Honda CBR 929RR, and a '97 Trans Am WS6, and I'm not 18 yet. Never had a job, never paid for insurance, gas, any of it. I'm not paying for the heads/cam package on the WS6, either.

Does this make me some spoiled *****? Yeah, pretty much, but there's no way in hell I'm going to turn free **** down. Would you? No.

it makes me mad when i work all week just to aford my crap-e mult-e colored, dented up kia and others get 3000gt's, gts celicas, rsx'x, and stuff just given to them. i just wish sum1 would hand me a cool car:( or almost any car mines gettin pretty scarey.

Actually, had the bently for a while.. its not new, no one drives it though... but yeah.. i will try to get some pics of the truck scanned with me in it by the end of the week. :)

Life is a like a game of poker in some cases... you're dealt a certain hand, and you have to deal with it, whether you like it or not. I'm far, far from rich... my first car is going to be a '92 Ford Ranger (I hear that laughing!). I'll just have to deal with it, and in the meantime, work hard to get the better cards in the deck. There's no point in being envious/jealous, and you must remember that families are rich because someone worked hard and had the right cards to make that family rich. Life is part luck, part hard work, and that extends way past cars... Just keep a high chin, look forward to the fact that eventually you will work at a job that you love, and let everything else fall into place. Maybe someday you'll be the one driving the 5th generation Viper or what not. ;)

Some people say kids who get stuff handed to them for free won't appreciate it as much. I don't know, though. I've always appreciated everything my Dad has given me because I know he's worked hard for it, well... as hard as flying an airline is. I don't drive all wrecklessly, and stupid. I've never had a wreck, and I've never damaged any of my cars.

I respect you more than I respect me, wana b drifter. At least you bought your own car, paid for your own insurance, gas, tickets, etc.👍 I sorta wish I could say the same.:(

BTW - "im tryn to make a clean getaway on my gas and go because i spent my last 20 bucks at the movies." That had me busting up laughing. I'm not trying to be an ass, either, I just found it funny.

It's f-ing awesome.👍 '01 Erion Racing Edition. Very scary for a first bike, though. I wouldn't reccoment this for a beginner - ever. I'm lucky I'm still alive. Do you mean the CBR 600 F4i? Those are awesome as well. They make pretty decent beginner bikes as long as you ride responsibly, and can control the twist-o-the-wrist.;) If I were you, and looking at new 600cc bikes, I'd look at a new R6, or CBR 600RR. I'd like to get an R6, but I'd have to sell/trade the 929, and until I do it shall remain in storage.

but it looked amazing...my mom ended up tellingme i couldnt get it cause it was too fast and i would kill myself, then i reminded her that they did buyme a viper:rolleyes: ... she still wouldnt let me get it

Maybe in another 5 years or so I will have one
whats the fastest youve hit on yours?

wail i guess i do got somethin you guys haven't had (least yet) crap-e cars. with my first car an 86 celica st my dad had to teach me how to down shift because the brakes were bad. then few months later the motor blew. ran out of oil. it had a leak and i didn't check it enough (check oil between oil cahnges:) lesson learned do 2 crap e cars) my dad luckly had a few pos's layn around so i was in a 74 beetle, with 4 wheel drum brakes no speedo and a broken gas guage. then a seal went out and i was in a 92 3/4 ton chevy cargo van with 200k mils on it. then i bought my 95 kia and now i can drive junk well and with pride somthin u guys might never do:D

 You could probably turn better 1/4 times in the Viper than you could on the F4i... until you really got used to the F4i, that is. It's too fast, you'll kill yourself! Err, mom, my car has like 500hp.👍

The highest speed I've reached on the 929? Probably around in the 130-140ish range somewhere. Only did it a few times as I don't feel very comfortably going triple digit speeds on something with 2 wheels.:scared: Not to mention the highways around here are always cluttered with cars so I don't have a ton of room to do high speed runs - just quick dashes. I could just do a little lane splitting, but that's ridiculously stupid - especially at 140mph.

how could you not appreciate a nice car. i think even rich kids appreciate the cars not by the price but for the car its self. i mean how could you not appreciate a car like a 3000gt vr4 or ws6 even if you can get 10 more when ever you please. there great cars and i think even rich kids see that but they get em free and im realllly julius of that:mad:

Did they tell you when you bought it what it was capable of? Its got to be atleast 180

Just riding over 100mph isn't hard. Riding over 100mph+ on exit ramps, and sharp turns?! That's just plain stupid! I've never taken an exit ramp in any of my cars at 100mph+, let alone on a bike. That's just asking to die, or get seriously injured.

It's probably not that hard, but it would require some serious cajones(aka balls).

I didn't buy it new, I got it from my Dad when he bought the new Harley Davidson.

I would guess in the 160-170ish range if I was properly tucked, and had a decent tail wind. 180 is up there with a Hayabusa.

The Hayabusa:eek:

Hayabusa-"If your not on one then you are behind it"

I saw a blue/silver 'Busa drive past me on the opposite side of the highway today. They're truly awesome bikes, but they're just way too much bike for me. Way too heavy, and way too powerful. You ever seen one run at a drag strip? They absolutely rape the competition. I watched a few modded ones run low 8's one night. Occasionally they'd get the front end to stay up until mid 4th gear, and some even got 4th gear scratches. I would start crying if I was pulling a wheelie in mid 4th, or if my back tire lost traction going into 4th.

Even stock Hayabusas were killing modded 1,000cc+ bikes that had bored motors, nitrous, etc.

Yeah, really. Show us, show us, show us, show us, show us.

A good point is made.

I've never damaged any of my cars.

I note 'my cars' as a reference to the BMW sedan you destroyed that belonged to your father.

He still doesn't trust me after that little incident - probably one of the reasons I can't ride his new bike.

interesting thread, though i think even rich kids have cars they dream of getting that they can't afford _yet_. im not talking about the seriously rich trillionaires but for example i know a clk gtr will probably always be beyond my funds, though a rich kid will aspire to eventually get one.
though i do know that if you have to earn your reward, then it tastes much sweeter when you finally get it.
i like the idea of life being like poker, you have what you have and need to deal with it. though cars are sufficiently 'cheap' enough (when compared to say yahts or fighter jets) that even someone who starts with completely nothing in life can earn enough to get more or less what they want. sure you'll have to make sacrifices but if you want a 996 BADLY then eventually you will have one.

i wouldent say i was rich but i have a comfortable life, mind you it wasn't always like that i mean back when i was an apprentice my car was a Fiat Strada with Blake 7 mileage but over the years i progressed and i know have the Cerbera

What stinks, is that these young kids own Corvette's and the level the pedal on every light. They take so many chances at breaking there cars. :grumpy:

You really shouldn't let this bother you so much.

The man who owns the aston martin/lotus/mercedes/volvo dealership that I work at has a son who has a trust fund that pays him 2 million dollars a week. His family owns the land on the port of houston. The owner has 2 cars, a beat up early 90s volve wagon, and a 72 chevy truck that he had painted orange and white, for UT. Whenever he goes to dealer meetings and all, he borrows one of the dealership's SL55s or something of the sort. His son drives a new Tahoe. Not all insanely filthy rich people drive expensive cars. If their whole family pulled all their assets together, they would come up with something in the range of 1.5-2 billion dollars.

i just had an incident with one of these rich kids last night at the races. now this kid and his brother have had soo much money thrown at them by their father who expects them to be the next jeff gordon or tony stewart that i could live VERY well for the rest of my life on their funds. now the younger of the two brothers was there racing last night, mind you he is 16 but has probly been racing for the majority of his life, the kid is fast qualifying with a 15.038 when the fast qualifiers are usually in the 14.8-14.9s. but in the first heat race he started in the back and throughout the race he repeatedly attempted to try passes that were not even possible and bumping into others and knocking some of them out of the way to get to the front. he did not even finish the heat for he was disqualified for the 2 spinout rule, mind you both of the spins were on his own. then in the feature he repeadily tryed bonzai moves bumping into other guys and 'forcing' his way through the field, then he got into 4th and spun the car into the infield again on his own and kept on the gas trying to get the car turned back around and keep on going without having to restart at the tail, while doing this little stunt he nearly hit 2 camera guys, 1 official, and a couple people on the safety crew, he threw debrie all over the pace hitting people standing on the outside of the fence in the pits who were watching the race, i was one of them. then he went on to ***** at the official he nearly ran over for they would not let him restart for that was his first spin of the race. some of the members standing next to me even went so far as to say the throttle stuck and thats why it happened, but i heard him reving the engine and if it did stick he should have shut it down after he spun. i now have no respect for this kid at all, and now have even less respect for his family and there crew. though his older brother is a great driver but this kid, younger brother, has no common sense.
