Well sad news today, I jus heard that Richard Sainct was killed on September 29 while racing in the Pharaoh's Rally in Egypt. The paramedics were unable to revive him when they arrived on the scene. The 3 time Dakar rally winner is survived by his girlfriend and 2 children. đź‘Ž:guilty:

That is one of the worst things of today now I am relly sad R.I.P Richard Sainct.

Ya it makes me wonder how he died, he was in the middle of the desert, I've seen people fall of the bikes at full speed on the dakar rally and rarely get hurt, the worst would be like a broken ankle or wrist. All they were saying was that he was dead when the paramedics arrived on scene.

If you watch every stage of the Dakar you would realize how false your statement is. Dakar is very dangerous and deaths due happen, I don't know how many per year but its safe to say there are at least a couple on average. They just don't get overblown in the press like so many other motor racing deaths do.

This is truly a sad day, Dakar this year will be tough and his competitive spirit will be missed.

True, I remember the days when the dakar rally was extremely dangerous, when a bunch of competitors were taken hostage, and when one of the racing trucks ran over a landmine killing a co-driver. So I take back that statement, but I wonder what his injuries were.

Truth is right now, no one knows:

There were no witnesses to the accident but race officials were alerted by riders who arrived on the scene minutes later.

"Sainct was transported unconscious but still alive to the mobile clinic," said Garbaccio."It was shortly after being admitted that he died.

"We don't know the exact nature of the injuries which caused his death."

"The body was transported to the hospital at Siwa and then to Cairo," he added. "We're all very shocked."

GOD SPEED...

:( It's sad to hear and see when a driver or rider dies doing what they do best, and love to do. These guys are atheletes and have balls bigger than anyone I will ever know!! not everyone will dare do what these men and women do, and when they pass..... its not just a loss for their series, but a loss in the world of motorsport. No matter what series you like and dislike, they all are in it because of their passion, dedication, and bravery. Richard Sainct will leave a big dent in our hearts and in the sport many of us if not all of us like. Rest in peace.

To me it's not sad when someone dies doing what they love, due to it being just that, doing what they love!!! I mean if I had to go I would rather be doing something that I love, cause I mean think about it, I don't know if he was in pain, but I would like to think that if he didn't crash then he would have gone painlessly, which isn't a bad way to go.

i love sex but i wouldnt wanna have a heart attack or annurism in the middle of a session...or a seizure...i mean...jesus christ. Bad news for both! i get you'r points tho. poor richard, RIP, and Rodney Dangerfeild too.
