I am in season 4 now, being pretty happy with the game....well, after remapping the controller as I just couldn't adapt to the standard controller mapping.

I changed it to, what I believe, were the controls of TT, with L1 for ducking and R1 being the rear brake. Now, my right thump is just for changing gears and looking back, what makes the riding much easier for me.

I enjoy the game a lot, the riding feels fine and can be challenging. The AI is pretty fast and offers good races. Unfortunately, you have to chase the rabbit quite often.
It really reminds me of TT, but with AI, which is nice.

The graphics, while not being impressive in any way, are totally fine and the bikes look great....I hope, they'll also sound great in future games. At the moment, they sound too boring. The lawn mower sound of the GT games comes to mind, when playing Ride 2.

Thanks to it's extensive career mode and the awesome track and ride selection, this is going to be my go to circuit racer for this generation, at least till PD drops a real GT7.

Thank you Milestone!

Are they mostly bikes from the first game and the DLC?
The ZX7 and the GSXR-1000 One Million edition thingy are definitely from the first game.

I am tempted to get Ride2 to see if they fixed what was wrong with the first one, but I will wait for the price to go down as it's $60. How is it compared to the first one?

Finally got around to installing Ride 2 disc (USA) today. Finished 2nd on that initial race with the R1. I was being lazy. Didn't feel like retrying. Rewinds worked easier than they did in Ride 1, and it felt like you could go further back in time. I'm not sure. Physics felt slightly better, but I need to get used to them. Also noticed if you want to read about the bike during the load screens, it now asks you to press X so you can take your time. This is just initial first race impressions. My settings are:

Off Track Aid - Off
Physics - Pro
Auto Brakes - Off
Joint Brakes - Off
Anti-Wheelie - Off
Tuck-In - Automatic (don't want to ruin my stick for this lol)
Ideal Trajectory - None
Transmission - Manual
Rewind - On (I use it several times during each race)

Chose the Honda NSR 125 R to begin with :sly: Okay let me go see how fun this thing is on the Nordschleife!

Ok on my second lap, I managed a 9:39.410 and then I ended the time trial. I wonder how much time I left on the track. Maybe more than a minute to a pro. Two minutes I hope not...

My impressions are that the transitions from left to right on the bike are quicker and I like that. Also coming out of rewind isn't as disorienting as it was for me on Rossi and Ride 1. The graphics are a bit brighter and sharper. The little Honda is a blast. Has power levels equal to bikes more than 2 times the size, with a curb weight 60 lbs less than a CBR 250R.

I like it. Time to play more.

Edit: Nevermind. Just realized why I could only do Time Trials was because the game wasn't finished installing. Shows how casual I am lol.

Ride 2 (EU) Just a nod to those looking to get this, all variations have just dropped again for PS+ owners to £14.99 (standard) or £20.99 (Special). I have been tempted to try this for quite a while missing the demo and then seeing all the videos, very tempting so I brought the special £20.99! (bargain as it was £69.99 last week when i wanted to get it).

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/search/q=ride 2 If you log in and have PS+ you will get your further 35% bringing it down to above prices ^^

I am just keeping my eye on MXGP2 as the new one is out soon, so I think this will drop soon.👍

Got Ride 2 at the weekend, so much better on PS4, first game was bad on PS3.

Tracks, bikes, look really good, loading is so much, quicker, you had to wait along time.
Only thing, thats wrong are NW200, Dundrod Circuit, they are missing lots of stuff by the roadside. Hedges, trees, houses, shame quite unfinised.

This was a game on PS2, everything is here.

I have tried all the cams and it is faster with the far view chase cam, but I am trying to get used to this game with the helmet cam (Wibble Wobble) like I play DriveClub Bikes, after quite a few races I am finding this view much more realistic and easier to control.

Do you all use this view or the other handlebar cam?

The rain on the lens looks pretty good, I think Ride3? with the unreal4 engine if they use this, will make a big difference.

I use handlebar cam, the helmet just felt odd to me, which is unusual as its normally my preferred option in titles.

New DLC Pack video, the Collectors Bike DLC.

Bikes are:
Kawasaki GPZ 900R Ninja 1989
MV Agusta Brutale 800 2016
Suzuki GSX-R 750RR LE 1989
Triumph Scrambler 2016
Bimota DB9 Brivido S 2014

Pick for me is the GSX-R, video includes dealership info and gameplay.
