Notes :
ZERO SPORTS first taste of New Age WRX, the NB WRX Sedan was used as test bed for many of their early new age prototype parts for the GD series WRX, from suspension, engine, drivetrain, LSD and body kit/rear wing.

Power is at modest 350PS with 1.3kg/cm2 boost, while the optimum actual output at the same boost level is 370PS, the reduction is due to the high ambient temperature during the event at 37 degree celcius. This forced the engine to run milder fuel maps and less aggressive timing to reduce chances of detonation. The BTZ201 also uses Zero Sports own Coilover Winning R spec with the newly designed 6 way Damper, and many of prototype stage performance parts.

Gearing has been replicated as close as possible, the actual car is JDM WRX NB Sedan, with 5MT gearbox that has unique close ratio and 4.444 Final available only on JDM models at the time. To replicate the gear speed, I have to account for engine redline / max rpm differences. The WRX NB engine have a lower redline at around 7500rpm, while the STi used in this replica build can rev close to 8500rpm.
With replicated gearing from 5 speed and 4.444 final, the STi managed similar gear speed of a real WRX with similar ratio ( slightly different USDM '02 - '05 WRX ratio ) and lower final at 3.900. To account for the differences, I increased the final to 4.988, which I consider as close possible to JDM 5 speed NB gear speed.

During the Tsukuba Skyline VS Tuner Car Battle special event, the car was fitted with ADVAN A048 R ( R / soft compound ) semi slick - equal to sports hard in GT6. With a best lap of 1:02.53 during time attack session. This replica is capable to replicate the lap time, my best lap during testing session was 1:02.2xx after a few laps.

The stock Driver Controlled Center Differential ( Subaru DCCD ) can be set using RA Menu, stock value is used at 45/55, this setting gives great balance overall :D

Aim to hit 1:02.53 or better on sports hard at Tsukuba :D

Notes :

Wow, I have heard this car is unruly and a beast to drive , so I bought it and drove it, to my surprise it was one of the easiest GT3 car ( similar to SLS AMG GT3 ) :D. I did simple suspension and LSD tweak to make it even more fun while easy to drive ( well for me  ). Tested and tuned at Brands Hatch GP and Mt Panorama Bathurst. With above tune, it managed 1:22s at Brands Hatch GP and easy consistent 2:07s at Bathurst.

The Z4 has very sharp handling, nimble in low speed corners, be smooth and steady, trail braking is highly advised for better lap times.
have you tried this tune at Spa or Silverstone?

Notes :
Based on the Zero Sports BTZ003 N1 replica that I built a few months ago, this is the entry car for Spec Street FITT STi vs Evo Battle Royal event.

There are several changes needed to comply with the rules, the car has no body rigidity and no oil change. Power and weight also has been altered to fit within the rules. Weight distribution has been left stock to avoid using any ballast, the replica has 57/43.

Gearing has been changed to 5 speed preset as per rule, the replica has corrected stock 5 speed ratio.
For LSD, the setup has been retained from the replica, while the suspension, damper has been tweaked for the wet Tsukuba, ARB and toe also has been tweaked for wet surface. Camber set at low value, I just like the way it drives with a bit lower grip limit.

When tested at Tsukuba Wet 40% water on CS, it's capable of low 1:04s easily, my best was high 1:03s, a mid 1:03s is possible. My best 1st sector is 14.9s, the high 1:03s lap has 15.2s 1st sector and last sector is slower by a few tenths as well as a bit slow last corner. Some handbrake / E brake use is highly recommended in the wet Tsukuba, particularly 1st corner, and last 2nd hairpin before the main straight - apply only a split second to help the rear rotate when necessary Tsuchiya style :D

The WRX is a bit hard to drive in the wet, just like in real life, some understeer might creep in when not careful while braking and exit oversteer when getting to excited with the go pedal - had my share sideways with a Rex in the rain IRL.

At Grand Valley East, still on CS tire, it managed 1:12s with ease. With SH, it should be below 1:10s.

For Tsukuba : CS tire, and for GVE : SH tire.

Notes :
This is one of my hardest to make replica, I had to researched everywhere, magazines, forums, and technical docs. The real CS V3 has 200PS base engine in tech specs, but for racing use, it has FIA approved racing exhaust + catalyst and TMG Updated ECU. I decided to use whatever power in GT6 has with racing exhaust + ECU + Catalytic converter. The tire is Pirelli DH slick, but in GT6, racing hard has too much grip, more like DM/DS slick, so I opted for sports medium ( similar to R comp semi slick ) or sports soft ( similar to DH slick IMO ) with optional to use racing hard.

Suspension of the real car is Ohlins TTX36 2 way Racing coilover with main + helper springs. To adapt these springs, I combined both to one spring rate :) The real car uses 2 rear differential option, one stock with 3.727 and torsen LSD with 4.100 ( GT6 stock LSD + gearbox came with this ), so I use stock GT6 diff :) Everything else are as close as possible to real car. Enjoy the drive :) This car will be great for spec endurance racing.

The car in action IRL :

Ridox, great tune. :D
If you are not sure about the power level, best lap in the 86GT cup was a 9.46 in the last VLN race.

Aim to hit 1:02.53 or better on sports hard at Tsukuba :D

have you tried this tune at Spa or Silverstone?

I am really looking fwd to this tune...love good Z4 tune....Did you do a Z4 tune before?? I seem to recall one??

I've been away for a few days and you've been busy with all these tunes....thanks again .... Want to try that Toyota as well :)

Haven't got a chance to drive the Z4 GT3, forgotten as I was messing with 2 Ferraris  Will do on my next play :D

Ridox...don't mean to add to your plate...ahhh F-it :) Yes I do ....I was thinking about that Skyline in FF5 in the first scene... Kinda old school vs new school...Where the body is from the 70's? However what she's got under the hood is smokin :)

Anyway my friend.. I know you're busy...but I thought it might be one you'd be interested in as well.

The scene where the R35 GTR racing with the Charger on the narrow road ?

No..the old GT-R when they're coming into Brazil

Sorry the Hakosaka?? Anyway...the one at the beginning of the movie

I have the car since 1.0, one of my early car in the game :P I think I've tuned it, just simple suspension if I remember correctly :) Will have a look next time.

I have several suspension + LSD tune for the R35 GTR -real world setup ( the '07 ), maybe I'll pick one to post.

Notes :

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 replica faces similar situation like the Jaguar G3, overweight at 1300+kg. The build in this version has flat floor.

I used Aston Martin official GT3 power at 600+HP and 700+Nm torque. The closest I can get to the torque is 511 ft-lb or 693Nm.

The car uses AP Twin Plate Clutch and XTrac 6 speed sequential gearbox with limited slip ramp/plate differential. Dry weight 1250kg with near 50/50 distribution.

For suspension I increased rear spring rate to 21kg/mm and ARB changed to maintain steering response with the new aero.

LSD uses high preload as usual to maintain traction with medium locking rate.

Gearing comes from XTrac 416 ratios as I couldn't find information on the gearbox model or ratios of the real car. Final gear is higher compared to the no flat floor version to maintain good acceleration at high speed.

With flat floor, the car may be a bit tight to turn, but the stability has immensely improved.

I tuned and tested at Silverstone GP, Tsukuba, Bathurst and Nurburgring GP/F.

This replica is still an evolving process, there will be tweaks here and there, any feedback is welcomed.
ENJOY
If you move the ballast to the rear wouldn't be closer to real 50/50 weight distribution?

The brochure said close to 50/50, so I assumed it will be 51/49 or it maybe 51.1/48.9 and not 50.9/49.1 - just my predictin :P

You can try move it to the rear :)

The Hakosuka is a drift/grip car, and the 2 Ferraris are old stuff that I have been messing around again lately, both are not very qucik for racing, but enjoyable for cruising or just hot laps.

Ridox, great tune. :D
If you are not sure about the power level, best lap in the 86GT cup was a 9.46 in the last VLN race.

Well your tune on Nordschleife with SH tires 8:21.1xx. It feels nice and the balance is right on....good job Ridox...will post a vid of the lap asap.

Thought I would try this car on Tsukuba. Very tight however not entirely in a bad way. It was very hard to get the rear end to slide out, which is curious on a rwd car....again not entirely a bad thing as it was a nice balanced feel... Maybe too balanced...if you get my drift...or lack thereof ;)

I was only able to run in the 1:06.3xx on SH tires. Which to be honest... In was expecting more(faster times)..This car feels good though... Maybe too good if that makes any sense

For S&G's I bought the Gazoo Racing... And left everything stock/default..except racing exhaust.. 1:06.5xx

Hey Ridox, would you consider making a replica of the Ford Shelby GT1000, I saw one at a drag strip a few weeks ago and loved it, it was by far the fastest thing there.

I will have to research about the car, GT1000, mmm 1000HP :P

Forgot to mention, VLN runs on the V-Type configuration of the Ring.

Haven't tried the GT86 at Nurb 24H V yet.

---------------------

Tested Z4 GT3 and did some tweaking, it has high camber for now, 1:59s at Silverstone GP, less than 2:20s at Spa and low 2:05s at Bathurst on 1st lap test, RH, 600PP. Like the way it drives, although not very quick.

I have Ferrari F430 with real life setup, capable of real life lap time 2:40s at Spa on CS tire :P and Ferrari 599 with 700+HP, something close to 599XX, again with real world setup :P

The Hakosuka will be posted as is, not sure if it will drive well, I consider it a drift car

From what the owner told me about the car, the road version had 950HP, and the S/C track version had 1100, however i dont believe that the GT500 in game can go to 1100.

Mmm, 950HP, it may reach it :) Any idea what sort of suspension, LSD and gearing setup used ? I'll search the net later for more info, not sure if I can get enough info though.

I recently revisit my NISMO GTR GT3 Schulze tune, with high camber, it managed 2:23s at Spa with stock gearing and only 548HP, this car is badly hurt in 600PP range, too much torque and 1300+kg fat didn't help :( It lapped Silverstone GP in 2:03s quite easily, so I guess high speed track is it's weakness, very low top speed, barely accelerating above 250kmh :(

From the info I found: the weight is 1734 KG, it uses a tremec 6060 with a 3.55 final drive, and i checked my ingame GT500 and i can get 1015HP from it so the road going 2012 version is doable, but the S/C is not.

I once tuned a Ford Shelby with full engine mods (the exhaust was Semi-Racing though), and I think I reached 950HP.

Hey Firehound, long time I haven't seen around :) I have the 1st stage Blackbird posted, let me know if I am going in the right direction :) I have Reina GTR and Hiramoto GTR built, but still trying to find a good handling traits setup for them uniquely - wanted to set them apart :P

It has been a long time, huh? I think Reina would want a stable setup for her GT-R, especially after that first wreck.
