Notes :

Replica build based on BMW Motorsport Z4 GT3 with specs on VLN 24H Nurb, Blancpain and ADAC GT Masters.

BMW Z4 GT3 / GTE weight distribution = 50/50, only achievable in GT6 with 1300kg BOP spec VLN 24H GT3.

6 speed gearbox uses XTRAC 545 with a combination of X427 and X545 gear sets. The 6 speed ratio is tailored match to the 710 Z4 GT3 rear tires with 3.620 final for Nordschleife. The 1st to 4th gear can be replicated, while the 5th and 6th are closest possible. Highly recommend to use 3.910 Final for most tracks where top speed is not crucial.

Actual ratio used on VLN 24H Nurburgring :

1st 3.000
2nd 2.066
3rd 1.6875
4th 1.444
5th 1.277
6th 1.150
Final 3.620

The BMW Z4 GT3 uses H&R Race Springs with SACHS Racing Damper.
Rear H&R Springs offered by BMW Motorsport :
180-60-90
180-60-100
180-60-110
180-60-130
180-60-140 - Installed - Lowest Possible in GT6

Front H&R Springs with SPS4 Front Struts offered by BMW Motorsport :
140-60-160
140-60-180
140-60-200
140-60-220 - Installed -Highest Possible in GT6
140-60-240
Optional 200 : 20.40 kg/mm front springs can be used for lower speed / bumpy tracks.

Base Z4 GT3 setup 508HP/1190kg with Base camber, 3.910 Final, Base LSD and Base Aero. With no body rigidity and yellow chassis ( worn ) can achieve 2:00.2xx lap on cold tire at Silverstone GP, 1 tenth quicker then quickest real life lap time ever on BMW Z4 GT3. A 1:59s should be reachable.

With same setup, tested at Red Bull Ring : 1:30s, Brands Hatch GP 1:24s and should lap in less than 2 minutes at Nurburgring GP/F and less than 2:07s at Bathurst.

Replay for Silverstone GP lap at 2:00.2xx has been provided.

ENJOY

Could you explain what those numbers mean? What does "180-60-90" signify?

Hello good neighbor, just thought I'd tell you something I learnt from doing research on replicas, of course you'll know this already. The 2JZGTE in your name is from a Toyota motor, now are you a supra fan by any chance?:D I've started doing the reviews in the CoTM, I'm terrified :scared: with the amount of power you put on yours, I hope you didn't put that so I'd look like this

180 = spring length in mm, some manufacturer uses inch instead, like Swift springs - 7" / 178mm
60 = spring inner diameter, most are written as ID, for example 60mm / 2.37" ID springs.
90 = spring rate in N/mm, to convert to kg/mm, approximately divide by 9.8. Some may use kg/mm value or lb/in

The arrangement might different for each brand, sometime 60-180-90 used instead, example : Swift Springs - Z60-178-100, 60mm diameter, 178mm length/7", and 10kg/mm rate.

Yes, my user name is from the infamous MKIV Turbo motor :P Supra is part of my childhood, one of the car that made me what I am today, a car nut  I love Japanese cars.

800HP R33 is very much reasonable in Japan, they drove Skyline GTRs with such power on the street :P Just need to be careful that you have a monster under the hood and your tires likes to scream and slip

Just finished building this so only had a quick 4 laps around Nurburgring using the "Base GT6 Camber" set up. This car is easy to drive fast & i was able to do nice consistent lap times. I think i can go faster once i have driven it a little more. This is an excellent tune just like the other Replica's of yours i've built. I just need to earn some more money now to build some others. Shame about the horrible sound it makes. It sounds like when you stick your head out of a car window at speed. It's a really horrible sound.
Anyways thanks a lot for sharing this tune. Is it added to the "Tune" section on here as i would like to give it 5 stars?

Anyways thanks a lot for sharing this tune. Is it added to the "Tune" section on here as i would like to give it 5 stars?

The sound is quite annoying, but the joy of driving it makes it worth it :) Race the car at Nurb 24H in arcade mode and enjoy the fun against GT500/SuperGT cars. I will try to get this one on the tune section when I have time :) Have you tried the 458 Italia GT3 ? It's listed in the tune section and I have updated the car some time ago with alternate rear spring rate that offers better rotation.

Once again, thank you for the review, and keep on winning races 👍 I have adapted the spring rates on the M3 GT2 cars ( 2010 ) and it drives superbly well. I'll try to find time to post more cars in a few days, maybe the Yellowbird or High End Performance G37 Stance Tune :D

Notes :

This is one of the car that was originally built in GT5 :) It was a hybrid back then with even lower stance and close to 1000HP with 8 Speed transmission from another Skyline V series :D

For GT6, I made a simpler version, with 3 options for spring rate and camber amount. The base setup uses stock spring rate, very good balance out of the box with 3/5 camber and tuned damper. The LSD also has several choice, the base uses low preload, but the custom preload can be used for tracks with higher speed corners like Big Willow.

Suspension has several coilover kit : TEIN Mono Flex MFP and Street Flex STFA kits, and Cusco Sport ZERO-2E ( custom made one off by Cusco Japan was used in real car ) as well as stock rate from GT6.
I used Cusco ZERO 2E as it offers good rate for balance, not too stiff and not too soft.

Don't expect time trial car pace, this is stance oriented build, where grip is not paramount, but looks and style wins over the girls :P Drift it around the bends, track days show off or simply cruise with confidence.

The HEP G37 was tuned and tested at Big Willow and Grand Valley Speedway. At Big Willow, with CS tire, base stock spring, 3/5 camber and custom preload alternate LSD, it easily manage 1:26s  A replay of the lap has been provided.

In memory of RJ Rocha, the man who built the HEP G37 and won the 2008 SEMA " Best in Show " Award

Wished he had a chance to drive his creation in Gran Turismo, what a wonderful experience it would have been, RIP.

ENJOY

The white car :) It was originally white before it was entered at 2008 SEMA, and painted black matte. The car was not a stance show IRL, and more to performance, hence the low camber. Interestingly, the car drives better with 3/5 camber than with 0/0 camber at Tsukuba :D

I was the featured in Super Street Mag September 2008 issue.

(Here were a lot of words, but you now them already, my friend.)

Magic! 👍

@danbojte : I'm speechless  You can win on comfort soft with no ABS, and that camber  People say camber reduce grip, but you can win anyway 👍
Does it really make a difference what tyres he uses? He's going to drive the wheels off the thing anyway

Another fine pair of wins @danbojte  And the best review I've read in ages. Reminds me of a song I heard years ago. "You say it best, when you say nothing at all." 👍

Hey @Ridox2JZGTE - I saw that you tagged me in the Camber Experiment thread... So, I thought I'd come to your garage to see what you had in mind for testing. If it's not super duper involved, and/or you don't need results immediately, I would be more than happy to assist you in whatever you'd like. I don't know if you want to speak here in the Garage or feel free to PM me. Whatever you'd like to do. Perhaps if you kept it in the Garage maybe others might want to join in and help? Or maybe you only need one person... I don't know. You decide! :D  :D

We can discuss here to avoid more drama  I'll build the car for High Speed Ring test first, and if you can, let me know what sort of issue with 1.0/1.0, 2.0/2.0 and 3.0/3.0 camber when exiting corners that made it slower than zero camber :D I reckon slight tweaking will have positive effect. I just curious if camber above zero can provide similar exit speed / throttle out at same time.

Can you please show us the new tweak of the suspension of the 458 GT3?What I saw was lots of options of of tire inches(or is it?),and I don't really know how to tune according to them...:-P

Can you please show us the new tweak of the suspension of the 458 GT3?What I saw was lots of options of of tire inches(or is it?),and I don't really know how to tune according to them...:-P

This was added based on colinh96 feedback :

Suspension -INTRAX BLACK TITAN ARC 4 Way Damper with EIBACH ERS Springs -Medium Camber
Front, Rear

Ride Height: 87 87
Spring Rate: 16.67 13.10
Dampers (Compression): 6 8
Dampers (Extension): 7 8
Anti-Roll Bars: 4 4
Camber Angle: 2.2 1.5
Toe Angle: 0.00 0.15

You can run low camber if preferred : 0.2/0.2 for example, and lower rear toe to 0.00. The rear spring has been raised a bit to help rotate the car and sharper to turn, with slightly higher ride height to avoid bottom out.
If you still find the car too tight to turn, lower LSD accel and braking to 30 or lower.

Notes :
The real car is not yet released, but I already made a would be replica  Okay, the TMG 86GT CS R3 rally car is for 2015 season. Based on CS V3 Cup success, TMG plan to enter the rally world with FR 86GT. With different R3 rules than VLN V3, the car has less weight, more power and upgraded with mechanical LSD, rally spec suspension, and sequential gearbox.

The replica is WIP, meaning when the car actually released with additional infos, I will update the tune to reflect the new spec. In the mean time, this will do, built for tarmac, dirt and snow, the tune works for all surfaces, 3 sets of tires ( SM, Dirt and Snow ). The R3 replica tested and tuned at Toscana, Chamonix, Matterhorn, and Eiger Trail.

Have fun sliding with 86 GT, the FR heaven

UPDATE : Added TMG Base Alignment in the suspension setup and revised ARB, original ARB value now OPTIONAL. Fixed toe value.

The TMG 86GT CS R3 Rally has been updated, toe value has been fixed. Enjoy the car for A-spec Dirt Trial Toscana 500PP seasonal. These cars should also be able to win :

Notes :
I have this Stratos since release day, used often on cruise lobby online on lesser state of tune. I decided to tune up to 500PP. The weight kept at stock level, with weight distribution fixed to replicate real life car spec ( HF Stradale ). I removed the rear spoiler and installed rally style front lights :D

Using Gr4 spec suspension, LSD and gearing. Suspension comes from Eibach Gr 4 ERS springs, Bilstein Damper with conservative 450/475 spring rate, while LSD from Gr 4 ZF plate based LSD with max lock set at 40%. For gearing, I used Gr 4 Stratos HF Rally close ratio gearset to make sure the engine stays on the sweet spot range.

With the tune, this Stratos Turbo HF Stradale works on comfort soft and below if you are a throttle master ;), all sports tire and also has been tested on racing hard with good result. Minor differences with the 450PP, the front ARB has been increased, higher rear toe in for better traction/stability. LSD initial torque has been adjusted to reflect the higher engine torque. Turbo kit has been installed, giving much higher torque and peak HP. Final gear 2.824 is highly recommended for high speed tracks like Nordschleife.

Tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Bathurst, Big Willow, Nurb GP/F and Nordschleife :D The car is pretty stable, with good rotation, always brake smoothly, apply a bit of throttle when lifting the brakes to avoid excessive rotation. When the car pushes/understeer, reduce throttle - do not lift off all of a sudden, modulate at around 50%, this will make the car rotate smoothly. And lastly, do not jerk the steering when on a curve or driving at high speed, the car do not like rough steering input :)

ENJOY

Made this special build Legacy Wagon for @Ronald6, the tune has been slightly tweaked for more rotation/less understeer under braking. The tune works on both tarmac and dirt/snow. Lower the ride height if preferred when driving on tarmac with comfort/sports tire - maintain equal height. An early build tune, please let me know if anything needs improvement.

ENJOY

I've been meaning to toss Ridox's tuning specs onto my BMW Z4 GT3 for several days now. It's probably my favorite GT3 car in the game and believe it or not, Ridox found a way to make it even better with this fabulous tune. I've always thought the Z4 GT3 had wonderful grip, both mechanical and aerodynamic, and this tune only strengthens my belief.

I took a run around the Nordschleife with the Blancpain setup (the one without ballast added) and I used the first suspension settings. My ride height was 80 / 90 as I felt the roller coaster nature of the track would be better suited with more ride height than less, although I plan on dropping the ride height 10mm all around for a future test. Also, I chose the recommended Final Gear for the Nordschleife, obviously.

This car is not without some faults. Namely, stay away from the higher curbs or you will unsettle the car greatly! That doesn't really surprise me with the 22kg/mm spring rate. The dampers may be soft, but the overall front stiffness requests that you keep the car solely on the tarmac. Likewise, getting two tires (one front / one back) onto the grass does't make this Z4 all that happy. I'm sure the slick racing tires have something to do with that. :banghead:

Feel free to drive this car smoothly, not with the normal "pants on fire" approach typically taken with GT6 cars. She will respond with outstanding performance if driven with respect. She will bite you if you don't. :D I'm not a fast GT6 driver. You won't ever see my name anywhere near a leaderboard on Seasonal Time Trials. Still, I was able to coax a 6:57.xxx and then 6:54.858 out of this BMW Z4 GT3 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. I didn't even break the 7 minute barrier with my Toyota TS030 on the last Nordschleife Expert Level 600PP Seasonal Event A-Spec Race. Granted, I had to pass a bunch of cars in that test, but it's a gosh darn LMP, this is only a GT3! :D

If you read through the notes Ridox wrote up for this car, you will see that there is an alternate front spring setting if you find the base setting to be too much. I haven't taken this car out on any other tracks yet, but the Nordschleife is a fairly grueling testing ground. 22 kg/mm is not overkill, in my opinion. Perhaps I'll try the lower 20 kg/mm rate just to see if she takes some of the higher curbs with a little bit more forgiveness.

Double thumbs up for this BMW Z4 GT3!

Edit: I just took this BMW Z4 GT3 out for a run around Apricot Hill Raceway for the IA 15-Minute Race (650PP limit/Racing Soft or less) but I kept my car at 592PP with Racing Hard tires. What a battle it was to the finish with the McLaren F1 GTR Race Car! For the first several laps he had a 20-17s lead on me and I didn't think I was going to catch him. I did, with about 3 laps to go. Then we started lapping cars and those knuckleheads got in the way a bit. I ended up winning, by less than 1 second. :boggled: :D For this race, I used the recommended Final Gear than gives a bit lower top speed (it's not needed) and I also lowered my ride height 10mm front and back. She gives a fantastic ride. If I would have installed RS tires Im sure I would have destroyed the McLaren, but they are not needed. 👍

Please let me know what sort of improvement you are looking for ? I have a refined tune for the GTR, but it's only suspension tweaks and aero to aim for real life lap at Silverstone GP. While for the SLS AMG, I'll probably try different springs, but it was okay back then :) So, any deficiency for the older tune would help me a lot to know which to improve :D

:) Thanks again for driving the replica, the car definitely can make use of softer springs, but alas, the real life values not available in GT6 :grumpy: The softest springs offered was 16.326kg/mm for the front, but the rear will also have to be adjusted to keep the balance nice :) I think the replica fared well on curb around most real world tracks - Suzuka, Brands Hatch, Bathurst and Silverstone :D If you wanted more planted feel, simply increase rear aero until it's more stable and not hindering front steering.

I will post the M3 GT2 sometime later together with CTR and other street cars.

Notes :

This replica is very hard to built with very limited information available on the car. Early 2013, the car was on the news, it may have been the first 86 built for GT4 class.

The GPRM Ltd who built the car stated it has 350-400HP with turbo added. Not much else was disclosed, so I have to improvise. I used the base model for CS V3 Cup car as a base setup for the GT4 car. Suspension uses similar spring rate with revised ride height and tweaking on the damper, ARB, toe and camber. The real car uses Eibach Sportsline coil springs and Koni 2 way fully adjustable damper.

LSD uses high preload 1.5 way with medium/high lock 55/75 to replicate Salisbury type diff used on the GPRM GT86 GT4. I leave the gearbox in stock form as it's more than enough to do the job and quite versatile on various tracks ( the real car has 6 speed sequential conversion but may still uses stock ratio as the Brit24 86 car also built GPRM uses stock ratio ). Weight distribution has also been fixed ( similar to the CS V3 Cup car ) The weight figure is slightly less than CS V3 Cup 86, with 1190kg, I pick this value considering the GT4 car has stripped out interior, perspex windows, lightened body shell and similar chassis modification to CS V3 Cup.

For closer performance compared to other GT4 cars, I decided on 399HP power using mid rpm turbo, this allows the GT86 to lap quite close to real life times at Silverstone GP. During testing, the car is capable of 2:13s lap on SS tire.

Settings used:
- Cockpit view, No Aids, ABS: 0 (BB 1/1)
- Specs unchanged.
