Thank you for the great input đź‘Ť So, would it be better if I posted another tune for the GTX or should I just add another section on the Infini tune ? I have tuned the GTX before I made the Infini one :) You can PM me the details of the visual parts ( wheels ) and do you think the gearing is perfect on the Infini ? I can adapt it to the GTX.

Be sure to give the Knight Sports 7 and Top Fuel Civic a go, they are awesome car to drive, aim to hit same lap time as the real one at Tsukuba, fun ride :D

Just note on the infini tune that "you can use the same on the premium GT-X for more authenticity + the +1 BBS RE-MG in replace of the motegi 5-star."

Will update Legendary FC replica tune soon, and 2 Hosaka Tuning Factory GTR will arrive as well - both fitted with NISMO GT LSD, have almost full fat weight, lots of power and impressive lap time at Tsukuba in real life, the GT6 version are just as good :)

Oh, also the Monster Machine Supra is in the works and will also be finalized soon :)

Notes :
Hosaka Tuning Factory built the car to showcase their tuning prowess and the car was featured in Hot Version video, driven by Dori Dori :) The car was fitted with more front torque split and still with harder compound semi slick ( YH Advan A048 ). The goal was to post sub 1 minute lap at Tsukuba with minimal cost ( no reinforcement or light weight parts ). This R33 uses upgraded turbine that focuses on low to mid rpm response to aid acceleration with limited power and stock weight ( 550PS - 1540kg ) The car managed to do the sub 1 minute lap at Tsukuba with S tire ( R compound street legal semi slick ) -sports medium in GT6.

Now, this replica has adapted suspension from PCR Hosaka Tuning Factory (HTF) Custom Coil Over, as in GT6 higher spring rate as fitted on real one is not possible :) LSD as usual from HTF : NISMO GT LSD both front and back. Simple tune with not too much power, but very rapid on technical track and exceptional handling.

Aim to have 59s ( sub 1 minute ) lap time at Tsukuba with above tune, enjoy

Notes

Kouichi Kijima Legendary FC :) This build based on the RX7 FC3S GT-X, a bit less power than the Infini and slightly heavier by 20kg, but still can reach over 330kmh. The car is wild in lower gear even with long gearing, tuned and tested at SSR7, Bathurst and Matterhorn. This build is great fun to drive at high speed track and drifty on the twisty - also good drifting around :D

ENJOY

The Infini version has been posted on page 2.

UPDATE : Custom wing introduced in 1.06, credits to @Firehound427 for wing setup

I got recommendations for you with regards to Blackbird's 911.
Color - Matte black or standard black gloss (matte black for BTR Carbon Monocoque)
Wheels - BBS RS, repaint to copper/dark gold

Blackbird has a total of 4 different variants throughout the series:
CTR Yellowbird basic - keep it as is.
CTR Yellowbird Kitami tuned - modify until 600hp; mid RPM Turbine - 5th gear should max at 320 km/h
BTR Kitami Tuned - max modify - set down to 700hp; DO NOT WEIGHT REDUCE
BTR Kitami Tuned + Carbon Monocoque - max modify - set down to 700hp; max weight reduction - be sure to make the car unstable at high speeds as story canon-related.

The BTR pretty much has the visual package, minus the RWB standard aero kit with foglamps and the carbon monocoque tune makes it far lighter than the CTR Yellowbird by 20kg; it would help in getting the specifications down.

I watched the anime series a while ago, so my memories a bit hazy, but there would be 2 car for replica of Blackbird ? CTR and BTR ? What was the base power of Blackbird when it first encountered the Devil Z ? 400+HP ? For the 600HP, would it be better with low rpm turbo to give broader torque delivery ? Thanks for giving more info, these will come in handy :)

Thanks for giving more info, these will come in handy :)

Before we begin, here are a couple of notes on the cars themselves before going into detail of their WM counterparts:

CTR Yellowbird:
The car's practically tuned already; heavily if I may add. In terms of power, the only things you could place in to it are the stage 3 Engine works and the 3 different RPM levelled Turbines. That's it. On its stock gearbox it hits 340-350km/h. For authenticity's sake, you don't need to work on the gearbox and leave it as is; omit the full-customization transmission upgrade. The exterior though is meant to be left as is; nothing was touched. this could hit 800hp; as like in the "Legendary F1 Turbine" arc (not in the anime, but in the manga/storyline) where Shima equips the Blackbird with the 800hp boosting TD-04 Turbine from one of RGO's co-tuners.

BTR:
Unlike the CTR Yellowbird, this one is a light tuned variant of the 930/964 chassis and in terms of pure development, is your primary base car. The one reason I recommended this to be the upgraded blackbird is because of its aggressive front aero-works and wider rear wing. GT however cannot give us the famous RWB wing as a custom (unless we're able to press PD with a request of it - see WM Episode 13). Performance wise, since it is a base model, it doesn't perform on par with the CTR Yellowbird. It does however outclass the cars on its class. The gearbox would need more work here if you wish to stay authentic and you plan to hit the 340-350km/h mark for gear 5, leaving gear 6 for 'overdrive' or for a drafting gear. This car is also unusually lighter than the CTR to make up for the 30 hp difference they have when full tuned. In recreating Blackbird, this is essential (the final weight reduction) to recreate the carbon monocoque upgrade he received which became his double-edge sword.

The main focus on tuning here would be its suspension and LSD. The BTR should have a near-perfect setting since Shima quoted it's the ideal car even against far more stable cars like the LanEvo or the GT-Rs.

In blackbird's development, it's as follows:

Encountering the Devil Z - 463hp a.k.a. Stock HP of the CTR Yellowbird.
Ishida Arc - low RPM turbine equipped to CTR Yellowbird; value is at 500hp flat.
Perfect GT-R arc - CTR got boost-upped to 600hp, max speed is 320 km/h (according to redline of the CTR, that's still under the redline so no need to aim for the speed). The car sways slightly above 250 km/h as noted by Shima so a low RPM turbine would suffice here. Make sure the overall HP is under 650 before readjusting its percentage down to 600.
Monster Supra Arc until Osaka Midnight Arc - Switch to the BTR; boost-up to 700hp. This could hold its own on 320 km/h cruises. Aim to make it top out at 350 km/h on SSR7 for 100% authenticity. No cornering problems so the setup should contain traces of understeer but upon acceleration doesn't induce hefty wheelspin/oversteer; pretty much make it corner like a 4WD.
Legendary FC Arc - Staying the same at 700hp, as mentioned on my last post, go for the lightest weight value you could get. Matte black is mandatory here to give the carbon monocoque look. The car SHOULD BE unstable at high speeds; you may opt to raise the top speed bar to the 400 km/h mark on this point given its high power and ligthweightness. Should be easy to handle at SSRX but when cornering at high speeds at SSR7's high speed chicanes, traces of a 5% spinout should be present to prevent users from abusing the power via overspeeding when cornering.

-------------

Additional Recommendations for your WM list:

Yoshiaki Ishida - Ferrari 288 GTO (to replace the Testarossa)
Reina Akikawa should have 3 variants of her R32:
- 400hp base - when she debuted; the R32 S-tune could make a great base model (gunmetal)
- 600hp base - after encountering the Devil Z (she crashes with this during their bout)
- 550hp main - the car she mains. It should keep up with the Blackbird and Devil Z in terms of top speed. Should show traces of predictable but counterable understeer. (white, wingless)

Thanks for the detailed explanations :) Wow, I have the series on my HDD, but never really took note of the intricate details. Will have to watch all the episodes again.

Different stages of Blackbird will need separate tunes for power, LSD, transmission and suspension, I might make all in one big tune post, the same goes with Reina R32 GTR.

How much HP does Ishida Testarossa has ? 496HP ? I will make a white 288 GTO for him :D

Maybe @Firehound427 or @KazaMR2 can give their input as well on these cars ? :)

I think I read on Wikipedia that the Testarossa is running a 600HP tune.

And Myogi does seem to be an expert on Wangan Midnight. It was obvious when I was watching his playthrough of Wangan Midnight on the PS2. He was particularly hilarious during that playthrough; I can still hear "OH COME ON!" in my head...

Knight Sports FD3S MAZDA RX7 Spirit R Type A '02 Special Edition
My initial impressions while purchasing the car, etc:
Ridox said his favorite LSD tune was a RX7... Or a Civic... RX7... Civic... Don't want a Civic (I know how can they be), and I'm not found of RX7... Let's try the RX7. RX7, well, mkay. RX7. Not really like them.
Damn which RX7 to buy, I don't understand his layout... Ah I see.
*buying*
Funny, he made recommendations for the colour and wheels... He really must like this one... Ok, that a Spirit RX7, let's use the same spirit and colour the same way.
*buying parts*
Damn my car is 403 HP (Eurozone). His is 402... Nevermind. braking... wow extreme settings... LSD ok, extreme as expected as a "dark LSD can be"... Susp : "hahaha this morning I talked about a dark susp Gordini, this is dark dampers settings aswell :)". Unbalanced SR. High brakes, no way she can even run. The LSD even @ 58%/100%/100% x so much high setting should make her visit the squirrels in the tree.

Let's run Mount Panorama 500PP in National A for the lulz. What tires is he using ? Ah... This layout... Where are they ? Nevermind, I'll use sports soft, I'm not confident.

*run*
*before first turn* wow, wow, wow. Hold on. *turning* Oh. Easy turn, rigth ? Next turn will be fatal. Hi #9, here I come * inside turn take-on* my, but... It's holding ?
Lap 2, I'm first just in the begining. Great work, good sensations. I should tell. Before this, I should also read the little comments he made.
*after the race* well, what a blast ! Let's read the comments !
*reading* Oh damn. I forgot that. that was a RX7... Well, this setup alone migth make me have to reconsider about the RX7. They are not the drifting-tail happy every single setup I tried were, after all.
What are the tires ? Confort ? Hell, I'm sure I can win with this too. But this can be very easy to tell what the problems are too, he's taking risks.

*running*
*before first turn* wow, wow, wow, hold on. *turning* hi, Chip and Dale, how are you, fine ? Sorry, can't stay. I'll have to be more carefull, the next turn is quite uneasy to take at hi speed. *inside take-on*, well, no, that's ok.
*next turns* well, that's fun !
*next turns* HELL YEAH BABY ! SEE YOU WITH CHIP AND DALE AFTER THE RACE MUAHAHAHA :)

In definitive, she's smooth and still, you've got the power, she's a well tamed black panther. LSD is almost perfect, even on the bumpy road of Mount Panorama. I recon Mount Panorama was a mean and dirty trap :).

I loved each single piece of this tune.
As a tuner, i'm very impressed. 21/36/36, dark LSD, dark Susp, you're just a mad guy, you know it ?
Despite being a RX7, it made me change my mind about the car. All is very smooth, despite being extreme settings, the 21/36/36 comes back perfectly if it locks, the change of direction after LSD loop#2 is ideal...

I loved your tune man. Now I'm not really an expert at Tsukuba, I'm testing it rigth now on Roma, which is "my" test track and where I will be "reading" the car the best. I don't know if I'll tell you the result, but I'll sure enjoy the ride in your dark spirit RX7 :)

Just a small note, you should improve tire selection and model selection in your layout, I had difficulties to find what you adviced.

-edit- +/- 1:20 on Roma in race condition, for only 2 laps running without opponent being 1st, it's honorable. It's a very easy to forget she wears confort soft :)
Got the same grip as my Zonda with RH + TCS1, similar sensations. Direction is precise, corner exit oversteer is controlled. Aero is in good balance, quite toward the rear, but in good place. Sometimes I would want +1comp in rear, sometimes not.
Not that good sensation with the first wide hairpin, the trajectory on it is not very good, that's where she need +1 rear comp. But the last wide hairpin is very easy to control, so in the end...

-edit 2- 40 laps later in arcade, it's a quite solid 1'18.299, with in the 1'17 possible with work with a 270km/h gearbox (not optimised but tinier gearboxes are not good in the starting straigthline because you'll accel slow in the end). My S Zero is in the 1'12 but with RH/RH or RS/RS I can't remember, for the same exact pp. Would need to battle both in sport medium, on confort soft it's a sure win for you :)
I still dislike just a little how she goes in the first wide hairpin, you need to slow down a lot. The last hairpin is a piece of cake, my "time-attack fears" on the track are the exact opposite of my Zonda. All the rest is perfect.
Fav'ed her (slots are very rare, here !)

It starts out on it's base HP, enough to run the Wangan. Shame you can't fit any of the Testarossas with a flashy wing for Ishida; I was planning with the F40 but since I saw you can't take off the wing to give the Testa look, I stuck with the 288.

And thanks for following me on the playthrough Firehound427. I might also work on the PS3 version; with the dialogue translated by text and more hillarious failed attempts; I'll even post a "rank S / relentless" playthrough on the side too.

:embarrassed: Thank you for driving my replica, I am so glad it drives great. Feel free to adjust the car further yourself, it's replica, but the owners are free to improve it :) My replica tune is simply a base tune based on the effort of replicating the real car ( specs, setup and performance ) - The spring rate is based on real life Knight Sports Aragosta Racing spec coil over, 10k/12k, if it works great in real life, it should in GT6 ( if GT6 had good enough physics )

Regarding car model and tire, I might list it together with specs section at the top of the tune, just to make it clear for the reader :)

Also, I really hope you will give the Civic a go, it's Honda Civic Type R '97 premium, using sports medium tire :) Believe me, you won't look at Civic the same way again, drive it at Tsukuba, no need to push it hard, just enjoy the ride first , I have a feeling you will like the eagerness of this FF car to corner like a champ. Feel free to fit sports soft or racing tire as well, the Civic is a beast after all

I think the next set of Hosaka Tuning Factory Skyline GTR will be a high performer as well, so far my testing has been able to post very close lap times at Tsukuba to real life lap time. These Godzillas are my favorite already along side the Knight Sports RX7 and Top Fuel Civic.

The Aventador has mild power bump and tuned for 600PP, using racing hard it can easily win the World Touring Car event in GT6.

The car is has sharp response in handling, great brakes and very rapid acceleration, try not to brake late, trail braking is highly recommended as well. Understeer is minimal, but beware of oversteer on low speed exit.

Thanks for the share, good tune...immediately took 4.5 sec off Ascari...still has too much over-steer...but that's just the car... Thanks again!

You're welcome , you can increase front torque to reduce oversteer, try 40:60 torque split.

I have updated the Hosaka Tuning Factory R33 GTR 550PS replica posted above, sub 1 minute lap at Tsukuba just like the real deal :D

Thanks....I just did the Ascari 10 lap in Super...with your set up I finished 38+secs ahead...and thats running out of fuel twice...that Lambo sucks the fuel up...So I won the 94 McLaren F1. you don't happen to have a set up for that one do you?

I used to have a replica tune for Mclaren F1 LM back in GT5, I am planning to make one in GT6. Any PP limit or tire restriction ?

PP 650 and Sport tires... I want to run it on Ascari to see if I can get a better time than the Lambo...stock the McLaren seems to handle better....but its hard to tell at this point... I really need a good LSD and Suspension set up...stock LSD there is a lot of oversteer as you can imagine and braking is a bit wobbly

Hey Ridox, you think can take a crack at the Nissan GT-R GT3? I've tried tuning the beast but it just loves to understeer. Same with the Mercedes SLS GT3.

Boy, I haven't been paying attention to this thread like I should, lol

Definitely interested in Kuroki's R, been thinking of trying a R33 project lately, haha :D
(No more high-speed ventures for the Supra, like the original Monster-Supra, less becomes more)

I'll see what I can do on my next play session, so 3 cars :

McLaren F1 LM ( 650PP - SS tire )
Nissan GTR GT3
Mercedes SLS GT3

I have 600PP BMW Z4 GT3 tuned ( just suspension and LSD ), still stock gearing, capable of 1:22s at Brands Hatch GP on RH tire. I will post this 1st alongside the R34 HTF and Monster Machine Supra :)

Wow, I have heard this car is unruly and a beast to drive , so I bought it and drove it, to my surprise it was one of the easiest GT3 car ( similar to SLS AMG GT3 ) :D. I did simple suspension and LSD tweak to make it even more fun while easy to drive ( well for me  ). Tested and tuned at Brands Hatch GP and Mt Panorama Bathurst. With above tune, it managed 1:22s at Brands Hatch GP and easy consistent 2:07s at Bathurst.

The Z4 has very sharp handling, nimble in low speed corners, be smooth and steady, trail braking is highly advised for better lap times.

I've got a setup for an ACR-X replica that is as accurate as possible with what I've been able to find. Mostly from SRT and others:
http://www.drivesrt.com/racing/viper-acrx/
http://www.allpar.com/cars/viper/ACR-X/index.php
I'm also stumped on what to set the toe at. I'm gonna leave camber alone for handling.

Dampers and rear Anti-roll bar are adjustable on the ACR-X,

Springs are reportedly 50% stiffer, so (stock springs * 1.5 = ACR-X settings)
That gives me 17.61/ 19.42 (feels nice on the 'Nurb offline)
Although, from KW Suspension's PDF for the normal ACR says that springs are F:514lb/in R:1085lb/in
Conversion: 9.2/ 19.42

Thoughts/ ideas?

Will look into this car :) Currently researching the KW suspension and toe. I might build your tune as well, and hopefully I can give valuable input for the tune.

KW doesn't give much info at all. That PDF is the most I've found about any ACR variant. I emailed them and SRT about the spring rates last year. SRT replied with basically "we'll look into it" and that's all I heard. KW didn't do anything. If you do make the car even if it's different, I'd enjoy doing some photoshoots with your version.

Notes :

I got to build this as I wanted to help JTQMopar building the Viper ACR-X, I tried to be as accurate as I can with this car.
I increased front spring rate by 1.5 over stock ACR ( from KW doc ), while the rear stays the same, as KW spring rate information is rather limited. I exclusively tuned and tested at Laguna Seca, aiming to get flat 1:31 lap using sports medium on consistent run with medium pace ( as the real laps were test laps, so I figured the real driver won't push the car at the edge of limit most of the time ), the car can definitely go faster - I think I even got 1:29s, so probably sports hard is the tire that can get closer when not using H shifter+clutch.
I chose sports medium as it's fairly grippy, but easily controllable when having oversteer and generally more enjoyable for both stick and wheel user.

I have raced the car at Nordschleife Arcade, with above tune and works quite nicely. Enjoy the fishtail

UPDATE 1.04 : Fixed Damper, brake balance and LSD preload :D

Notes :

As requested by Nomad67, I tuned my replica to 650PP, some major changes to the suspension and LSD was required. With sports soft, the car is very edgy on the limit, particularly on 1st to 3rd gear. Tuned at Brands Hatch GP and Mt Panorama.
Tested at Ascari Arcade race, the car is quick at 650PP, but might be taxing to drive on the limit, the 1st chicane is fine, but the next 2 corners will need smooth throttle ( lower gears ).

UPDATE 1.04 : Newly revised damper, toe, ARB and LSD, overall handling has been improved, stability increased, and easier to push hard at Ascari.

Just a simple tweak on suspension and LSD, the GTR GT3 is pretty good, a bit heavy compared to other GT3 cars, but just as quick. Tuned and tested at Brands Hatch GP and Bathurst. The car easily did 2:05s at Bathurst.
