Notes

Shima's Blackbird, this version is from Ishida story arc with 500HP. Low RPM turbo kit has been installed to reach the power.

For this replica, I used real life springs ratio, taken from 930 Turbo with JRZ RS Pro Coilover Damper kit, Swift main springs and helper springs were used. I adapted the setup with stiffer spring rate as the real car has 1040kg dry weight, and this Blackbird tips the scale at 1165kg. I have to add ballast and install weight reduction as I wanted to also replicate the real car weight distribution at 38/62 ( based on 930 Turbo ). Some even reported to have 37/63 with mods, but I can't afford to have that as it will increase the weight even more.

Damper has been tuned in to support the new weight balance, rear damper is set to give the best possible traction on medium speed to high speed corners as it will live as a Wangan car. Front damper has also been set stiffer compared to the early stage version.

LSD uses Paul Guard with 30/80 setup, I adapted the LSD with medium locking on acceleration and high locking on braking side, preload also on medium. A balance for comfort and sports tire.

Gearing remains stock, as I felt the top speed is more than adequate.

I tuned and tested the car at various tracks from Tsukuba, SSR7, Ascari, Willow Springs, Bathurst, Brands Hatch GP, and Silverstone GP.

The Blackbird also tested at SSR7, and I like it there, drives very well on comfort soft :P

I look forward for feedback on the car - power figure and visual parts :

ENJOY

Shima's Blackbird, this version is from Legendary F1 Turbine story arc with 800+PS, where Shima equips the Blackbird with the 800+PS TD-04 Turbine from one of RGO's co-tuners. Oil changed, High RPM turbo kit and engine tuning stage 3 has been installed to reach the power. The Legendary F1 Turbine Blackbird can hit over 350kmh top speed at SSR7 - tested on comfort soft :D

Notes

Still a work in progress, a replica of Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione 2012 with 750PS and 1310kg. I tried to get as close as possible for the torque figure 516ft-lb, the GT6 version replica has close to 519 ft-lb.

The real car - 2010 version with lower power and more weight managed to lap Nordschleife in 6:58.16.

I used stock gearbox in this one for now, suspension and LSD are still being tested. The wing is not accurate, but at least it has a wing. There has been reports of shorter final gear ratio for the 599XX Evo, it was used on Fiorano Test Track lap record of 1:15s.

I have added optional transmission ratio with higher final to replicate real life 599XX top speed 198mph limited by gearing when tested at Fiorano and posted 1:15s lap using higher final.

I tuned and tested this early build at Spa, Brands Hatch GP and Silverstone GP on comfort soft, sports soft and racing hard tires.

ENJOY

UPDATE : Added optional custom transmission to replicate real life top speed with higher final, 198mph/318kmh - gear limited.

Notes :

I have owned this Hakosuka since early days of GT6. I really love this legendary GTR :P

First of all, I built this car using real world tuning approach, from my past experience and consulting friends who have had experience with the car, I decided to use 200/400 spring and tuned the damper to balance the car from using front lower ride height. I used much lower front ride height to visually replicate the close to level ride height of a tuned Hakosuka in real life. In real life, Hakosuka needs very high rear spring to avoid bottom out when tuned for track/drift.

I included 2 Pack Setup, one for Grip another for Drift. The Grip Pack uses damper and ARB tuned for grip street/track driving with LSD in 1.5 way from NISMO GT PRO TT.

While for Drift Pack, damper has been stiffened at the rear for more control and ARB is also stiffer at the rear to increase response and easier to rotate. LSD is 2 way courtesy of TOMEI Technical Trax Advance LSD, with high initial torque and cam angle, the LSD in real life is bred for drift :)

Power is modest 185PS, this is more than enough for entry level drifting :P I recommend Tsukuba for drifting practice. The car favors feint drift technique, but you can also use E brake to initiate drift.

ENJOY

@FussyFez : You might like the hakosuka above :P, @Nomad67 : Thought you might like it too.

@danbojte : I don't know if you like old classic like hakosuka :) and the 599XX Evoluzione should be interesting to drive on SS/RH tire ( it's equipped with Pirelli Slick IRL )

Yeah...thanks I will start them both today... I have been busy with work a lot, having to go out of town... I have my son so there maybe some competition for the PS3 lol..hopefully he'll allow the old man some seat time. I will report back on my usual tracks with some video and how those set ups feel...the 599 looks sweet with that red and the black (drk grey) wheels..

Bravo! This is..IMO the best handling Ferrari tune you've done...keep in mind for my driving style ;)

I am running 57.4xx on Tsukuba. With SS tires...stock tranny and standard brakes. She really wants to break away with all that torque...however its manageable.

Now Nordschleife on the other hand...not so much lol...7:20.xxx Before I even went out I raised it to 85/85 and lowered to springs 15.07/15.07..she is very ass happy and doesn't take too well to all the fine "contours" Nordschleife has to offer ;)

:) Thank you for the compliment, you can also lower the camber to add more cornering grip, something like F/R 0.5/0.0 or all zero :P The real life Nordschleife record was done on a slick tire if I remember correctly :)

Lol..yeah..just tries staggering and put RH in the rear...but toooo much under steer... So I add spring to the rear to compensate... Helped...but still not good...braking is killer on the bumpy bits...as in no breaks...
Nosed dived straight into a barrier... It was as if someone cut my break lines lol! ..

I will run full RH and see what happens... I just think the suspension is too hard??? I dunno...anyway.. I'm liking it...my fav Ferrari so far :)

Mixing tire is a no no IMO, it creates more issue than solving  So, did you also try zero camber ? If you really want it to drive well at bumpy track like Nordschleife, I suggest to run much lower spring rate ( 10.71/10.71 ) and higher ride height ( 95/95 or 100/100 at least ). If you run higher rear spring, only increase in 0.10 increment, even 100lb/in or 1.786kg/mm increase of spring rate at the rear can cause oversteer tendency when using the camber ( 2.5/2.0 )

For damper on bumpy track, maybe this might help :
Dampers (Compression): 4 6
Dampers (Extension): 4 4

if the 599XX still dives too much under heavy braking, increase front compression to 8 and extension to 7 while rear comp at 6 and rear ext 4 like above.

Dampers (Compression): 4 6
Dampers (Extension): 4 4

if the 599XX still dives too much under heavy braking, increase front compression to 8 and extension to 7 while rear comp at 6 and rear ext 4 like above.

I ran the camber down to F 1 and rear .08 but will take it down completely... To be honest....its not often my friend that I see you using such high camber rates... So I thought maybe it fixed...appears not...and quite frankly I should know better anyway... Re camber and breaking...especially with Nordschleife. I will also try the tracks you've mentioned... I don't usually run them...so not expecting great times...but will be interesting to see what I pull in comparison.

I have to been kicked off the PS for now...good thing as I was getting a little frustrated with Nordschleife and was making stupid mistakes that I wouldn't normally make.... Up until that point... I had an awesome run...the 599 is actually quite fun to drive... I like having things a little loose...rather than tight... But as we all know too much of either...is disastrous....

Those settings you've proved sound good and will try it when I am allowed back on the PS3 ;) I will start a new file for that setup.

I used camber on some of the replica/tune with real world setup to give it unique handling :), for now camber is indeed broken, but that won't stop me to use it from time to time, when it eventually be fixed by PD, it should drive much better. In the mean time, if the camber is unfavorable to drive, use zero camber, it should give much more grip all around. Tuning on camber also forces me to tune with lower grip limit, although it's not really beneficial, sometimes if produces interesting tune.

My next replica is F430 Scuderia with real world setup including camber to replicate real life Spa lap time :P and it has even higher camber than the 599XX.

Notes

This Ferrari F430 Scuderia is built with the main goal to replicate real life lap record at Spa, 2:40.00

As stock suspension spring rate is not achievable, the rear can't go low enough, I opted to use 2 different spring set for this replica. I have also replicated the correct weight figure from corner weight ( with some fuel ) result in real life, as well as weight distribution.

There are 2 sets of suspension setup, one is mainly aimed at street use with softer springs from AFCO and the other is aimed at track racing with Swift Hypercoils at close to double the rate of the original Scuderia Gen II OEM Springs. A track oriented alignment has also been used ( camber and toe ).

Ride height has also been replicated, real life F430 Scuderia stock height has a high rake at close to 22mm difference ( higher rear ). For this replica I decided to use smaller amount of rake highly recommended at Ferrari owner forum - 12mm, this is a good balance for track driving and street in real life - slightly tighter with less rake.
The effect is opposite in GT6, another PD blunder . To compensate for the ride height and camber used, I have tuned the damper for more neutral balance and to allow the driver to throttle steer even when at the apex, modulate the throttle to steer the nose. Due to the high degree of camber, the Ferrari needs smooth steering to avoid sudden loss of grip at either end when on comfort tires.

LSD uses 2 way to simulate E Diff with moderate locking rate and medium preload.

The F430 Scuderia can replicate the Spa lap time on comfort soft tire. I managed 2:39s in 1st lap :) The balance is very good and fun to drive, especially at Eau Rouge :D

ENJOY

UPDATE : Added new suspension setup, factory alignment + ride height and medium camber for street and track.

1.09+ : Updated ride height due to range limit changes by PD, updated weight distribution based on real car corner weight and corrected toe value at per side.

Added alternate spec with full fuel tank.

I have updated Ferrari 599XX Evo with optional gearing to replicate real life top speed on a 599XX fitted with high final. I have also posted Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

Recently tested both Z4 GT3 and GTR GT3 Schulze, not sure if both is good, but I will post them again as I used camber on both :)

ENJOY

Notes :
Made a simple tune for the Jaguar XKR-S '11. The car was used on Rome Seasonal with preset soft suspension. For this build, I focused on reducing entry understeer while maintaining stock weight distribution. I used comfort soft when fine tuning the handling, tuned and tested at Bathurst and Brands Hatch GP. With comfort soft tire, the car was able to lap Brands Hatch GP in 1:36s range and on sports soft an easy 1:29s.

OK...so I used this tune to help me out with my Jag... It turned out to be very useful on Nordschleife. Thanks Ridox.

Hey Ridox. Your advice on the dampers was primo....and did the trick....not sure if you want to add those damper settings for tracks like Nordschleife but for me it was the cure for this car. I also have a video of Tsukuba which I will add shortly.

Ran RH on Nordschleife and SS on Tsukuba. This tune for me was a very welcome tune as I was starting to lose faith in Ferrari lol. For me anyway and my driving style this though tricky to drive was actually a lot of fun...rather then frustrating.

Thanks again bud

Great to hear @Nomad67, please let me know the suspension setup that you use for Nordschleife ( springs and damper ). I ran the bumpy track damper with the 16.07k springs at Nordschleife and it drives great for me, just needs to watch my speed, it jumps a lot, the 599XX goes like a rocket with the high final :) I will update the tune later.

Let me know if the Jag has any issues :)

Notes :
Ferrari F40, the last great Ferrari IMO, no electronics aids, just pure man and machine :)

This car is one of my most favorite ride in GT5 and GT6, and it's well known for it's inaccuracy in terms of stats and stock setup.

I made this special replica build with the main goal of correcting the mistakes and make it handle more like a Ferrari, whatever that means :P

First of all, there are 2 region market for Ferrari F40, Europe and US. Both has distinctive setup from power, weight to gearing.

The EU market has much lighter dry weight and comes with lift kit/variable ride height suspension system from factory, with lower final gear and slightly different 2nd and 5th gear :)

This replica is a representation of EU F40 with lift kit, EIBACH ERS springs installed and further based on specification from Auto Motorsport Magazine review back in February 1989. There are some differences to the earlier version replica I have built, mainly the weight, gearing and LSD. I have used LSD profile from F355, this time I have the correct data with 60% lock LSD. For gearing, the Auto Motorsport Mag version although uses different values, also achieved the exact speed/accceleration/top speed and rpm /speed figure on each gear as the other 2 version have posted. The other 2 replica earlier gearing was based on Ferrari owner's club and manual reports, while this one is based on magazine review.

The power of EU F40 from dyno reports with cat installed of 471HP / 478PS / 478CV with curb weight as measured and reported by Auto Motorsport Magazine = 1254kg / 2763.81 lbs and 39.2/60.8 weight distribution. This is curb weight with full fluids and full tank of fuel ( 120L ) - without driver. With a driver, the weight distribution will shift closer to 38/62.
Gross Vehicle Weight ( GVW ) as reported is 1430kg ( max operating weight with driver + passenger + cargo).

Some EU F40 do not have cats installed, usually the early years model, these non Cats F40 has been reported to have in excess of 500HP, some even dynoed with close to 520PS or 513HP.

To achieve the power figure of non cats EU F40, I decided to include 2 optional upgrades path, one uses high rpm range turbo kit and exhaust manifold, the other intake tuning and exhaust manifold. The specs are listed above.

For suspension, I have used EIBACH ERS springs at 8.25kg/mm front and 12.0kg/mm rear, maintaining spring ratio for the stock F40 spring rate, as the stock value can't be achieved. Damper setup for street and track, with ARB set for balance. Toe and camber has been setup with real world alignment values, based on F355 alignment which from report share similar alignment with F40 - closest information I can get :)

An alternate spring rate at 12kg/mm front and rear also provided, this is more oriented for high speed cornering and sweepers.

The real Ferrari F40 has ZF Self Locking LSD, based from Auto Motorsport review specs, the rear LSD has 60% lock, I have tuned likewise, with medium preload. The previous replica LSD which uses specs from Ferrari F355 with 45% lock and high preload also listed as optional.

The corrected EU F40 ratios and final based from the Auto Motorsport mag also able to replicate top speed of real F40 at 324kmh/201mph, furthermore, the rolling acceleration time and vehicle speed at 5th gear 1000rpm has been closely replicated - similar to the tested reports from the magazine.

Various test results from Auto Motorsport mag :

60kmh-100kmh in 4th gear rolling acceleration : 6.3s
80kmh-120kmh in 5th gear rolling acceleration : 8.5s
5th Gear speed at 1000 RPM : 43.5kmh

F40 speed on each gear at about 7400-7700rpm optimal shift point :
1st 90kmh
2nd 144kmh
3rd 201kmh
4th 255kmh
5th 321+kmh

Feel free to try it at SSR7 :)

The F40 was extensively tuned/tested at Ascari, Tsukuba, Spa, Bathurst, Nordschleife, SSR7, Apricot Hill, Brands Hatch GP and Willow Springs.

I also managed to replicate the real life lap time of F40 at Tsukuba, done on Best Motoring at 1:03.73. The car easily do 1:02s comfort soft - slightly quicker than the US F40, as it should :D

Another real life at Suzuka record 2:25.27 in real life can easily be replicated. I managed 2:21.175s on 1st lap.

ENJOY

UPDATE : Added weight figure without fuel, calculated from 120L full tank with 0.711kg = 1 litre of fuel. Weight without fuel is at 1169kg, very close to 1170kg :) Weight distribution at 42/58 without fuel. I have also added new suspension setup based on stock factory Ferrari F40 spring rate ratio, this is the lowest / closest to stock value possible, this setup has ride height based on Best Motoring F40 Tsukuba Battle as driven by Gan-San aka Motoharu Kurosawa, the F40 won the race :D. Ride height at 81mm / 81mm, visually matched  The F40 with no fuel and Best Motoring ride height + stock spring rate ratio, managed flat 1:42s at Red Bull Ring on Comfort Soft in 1st lap ( cold tires )

UPDATE 1.09 : Added Ferrari F40 US Edition Tech Manual Alignment Range, highly recommended to be used as a base to start.

I have posted another great replica version of EU F40, based on Auto Motorsport '89 magazine review, this F40 is blistering quick, just like the EU F40 previously released.

I have also updated the previous 2 F40 replica ( US and EU ) with corrected LSD specs and optional gearing on the EU. This Auto Motorsport mag version has curb weight ( full tank ) instead of dry weight like previous 2.

The US market has heavier dry weight, with added parts and interior + exterior modification to comply with US Federal regulations. To compensate for the added weight, US F40 also has higher power output and closer gearing. This gives US F40 roughly close performance to the EU F40 when both have cats installed ( catalytic converters ). All US F40 do not come with variable ride height system ( lift kit ) when sold, while the EU F40 factory delivered with the lift kit system. Several US F40 have been retrofitted with lift kit :)

This replica is a representation of US F40 with lift kit, EIBACH ERS springs installed and lowest reported corner weight ( dry ).

The power of US F40 from dyno reports of around just below 500HP to 503HP / 510PS with dry weight of 1286kg / 2835 lbs and 42/58 weight distribution.

To achieve the power figure, I decided to use Intake Tuning, this gives higher torque increase while replicating power.
I used it as I prefer stock turbo characteristics, use High RPM Range Turbo Kit instead, if you want lower torque / closer to real life torque at the expense of altered turbo characteristics and set power limiter at 99.4% - 503HP, 438.6 ft-lb.

Transmission has also been fixed, with correct US F40 ratios and final. Top speed of real F40 in US record at 324kmh/201mph has also been replicated, furthermore, the rolling acceleration time and vehicle speed at 5th gear 1000rpm has been closely replicated - similar to the tested reports from the magazine.

Various test results from Auto Motorsport mag :

60kmh-100kmh in 4th gear rolling acceleration : 6.3s

I have to add ballast and install weight reduction as I wanted to also replicate the real car weight distribution at 38/62.
