This is a series for those who love the ‘Ring!
We meet every Wednesday and Sunday afternoons at 1330 US Central, at the Nordschleife (and other tracks!) for races among friends. Formal races will be every other week. The first will be 90 minutes and second will alternate between Two Hours and Two Hours and Thirty minutes.
We will hold a 3 hour race on the second week once a quarter .
This a group of serious drivers with good manners who love to race , and while winning is always the goal , it is NOT a reason to forget your manners.
We use BOP/not tuned cars with light damage. ( heavy damage may be used in races over 90 minutes if drivers wish)
Normal races are Gr4 and Gr 3 but there will be LMP and Gr 2 cars allowed as tracks allow. There will always be a G4 class and Gr2/3 drivers need to be ready to “collapse” to Gr4 in case we need them to make up a grid. We also occasionally use BOP’d N cars.
If we are short of drivers we race short races for giggles, or do our CASCADE Races where we pick each others cars.
If we fail to have enough to race, the race length will be modified as follows:
4 or less ....races of 2 laps
4-6 45 minutes max
6-8 90 minutes max
9-10 120 minutes max
10 or more either 2.5 or 3 hour races

All races over 90 minutes have a two mandatory 5 minute pit stops to simulate a driver change. The Driver Change pitstop may not be in the first thirty minutes of the race and must be completed prior to 15 minutes to go. If you fail to complete the 5 minutes due to leaving prematurely you must complete the stop on your next lap and complete the time.
This is friendly, but intense racing. If you have some body "off" or you run wide (out of bounds) you MUST concede.
What is important is that we have fun and learn from each other and treat each other with respect.

Fuel 3x Tires 2x except on races over 90 min when it will be 1/1.
Tires: All Racing tires
Damage: Light (except for races over Two Hours when it will be Heavy)
Flags: On
Drag: Normal
Reposition: on
Pit stops: mandatory 5 minute stops simulating a driver change is required for races over an hour . There will be two pit stops for all races over 90 min.
Grid: Fastest first based on practice laps, qually times, and or set by host
Start : We pace to a predetermined point on the track single file and then go from there..
Track: Nordschleife ,an occasional night race on the N24, or a race on another track
