I've now tried both of your Emperor VI and The Emperor tunes now. I do have to say - both of them are very wonderful. Not flawless, but still great cars. I'll be keeping both of them in my garage for a while.
The Emperor VI is a very slick guy when it comes to cornering, and is a very easy drive. I almost made it completely clean around Nurburgring 24h with it - that is, until I somehow managed to totally fail at Hohenrain and wreck it, ruing the lap completely But it really is very good. The stock exhaust is still alright, very buzzy, although it does get muted out literally completely by the tranny in the first 3 views. Annoyingly though it's best in hood view Its speed in a straight line is nothing to laugh at, certainly, even despite the slightly long gear ratio it still did very well down the Dottinger. Out of corner acceleration was also very good, which is remarkable considering no turbo mods were done. Mind you, that stock turbo is still there...all it needs to be a great tuning superstar is just a little bit more speed, which, particularly with the Evo VI, is very easy. Still, it is a massive improvement over stock and it certainly isn't that slow to begin with. As aforementioned, the cornering is what is the big winning point of this car, just so slick and fast and easy. By the way, I did use to give overall scores of 20, but I'll simplify it down from now on. The Emperor VI gets a total score of 8/10 for me overall, although with decimals taken into account that number would be a lot higher.
The real Emperor is not quite as potent at cornering to begin with, particularly in lower speed corners. But, my god, is it a hell of a lot faster. Very good out of corner acceleration, good straight line speed, and the faster the corner, the better it is. It is a very good thrill-ride, and it would easily become very useful in the main game for sure. It's sort of similar to the CT230R, just less powerful (slightly), heavier (very slightly) and less understeery to begin with, albeit not quite as superb to drive in the very end. Consider this thing my trusty sidekick to my ultra CT230R...which has already won a race in the Gran Turismo All Stars by itself. I wonder what the limit for this Emperor could be...bearing in mind I only won on RS by 3 tenths on Trial Mountain in the CT230R I don't think it would be too smart to try that in the Emperor. I could stand a chance on the Nordschleife, mind you...to be honest, a more realistic target would be the Dream Car Championship, and to make it even harder, maybe an XJR-9 in the mix? But back to the performance and overall, the Emperor is a success. Huge speed, killer acceleration and very good corner means the Emperor passes with distinction. It just needs to be even better in the corners though to make it absolutely brilliant, so I shall also give it an 8/10.
Cheers guys.
