my last bout of nfs was prostreet, shift was interesting but a fail. havent attempted another nfs since.

The only NFS game I have for PS3 is Carbon, I rather liked that. NFS IV - High Stakes FTW

I can see the logic behind the cap, but after you've obtained the penniless trophy, the cap serves no use. So yes, I'm very annoyed.

Every time I hit the cap, I jump on here looking for new tunes to try out, or I buy a random car in the UCD and see what I can do with it.

Even though it's a semi-Burnout, Hot Pursuit for the PS3 is the best they've produced in this last generation of consoles.

Of course, the top 3 NFS remains, in my opinion, this way:

1- Most Wanted
2- Underground 2
3- Hot Pursuit 2

+1

Definitely, I owned all of those and the new Hot Pursuit. Don't like the new one actually, yes fantastic graphics, yes great crash scenes, but the acceleration feels sluggish (not the speed) and the events where you can't hit anything are frustrating as hell. Sticking to GT5

Hot Pursuit was absolutely abysmal when I tried to play it, control system was badly set up and hard to use, graphics in the demo were glitchy and the full game wasn't much of an improvment

I know I'll probably be killed for saying this, but I have a brutally quick R35 tune with 600hp on Sports Soft tires capable of sub-55s lap times at Tsukuba that everyone here should try.

At least it's on Sport Softs...

That's cool and all and I'ma let you finish...

But my pink monstrosity of a Spec V did 56s all day every day with just a quick suspension tune, drivetrain mods (no diffs, just clutch/flywheel, stock gearbox), and uhhh... An ECU to add power.

Actually slightly outran Leo's 2012 Black Edition when he started toying with it, ehehehhe.

My GT-R has the stock gearbox as well, along with a single plate clutch, sports flywheel, sports exhaust and a few other bolt on parts.

You say that the GT-R isn't fun to drive and sounds horrible, but this one is. Push it hard enough and it will bite your head off.

I may just do that. It'll get me playing more too. 👍

My top 3 will always be:

1 - Underground
2 - Most Wanted
3 - Underground 2

ProStreet would be 4th. I consider it to be the last good NFS.

My top three would be:

1. High Stakes
2. Hot Pursuit 2
3. Carbon

I didn't like the underground games because of the "gangster" aspect, Carbon does that, but not nearly as much. And there are cops in it :P

IDK, going against all the blacklist with a maxed out Cobalt SS, even though being unreal to it beat a SLR, was so much fun!!

UG2 was good…when it was first out. Wall riding the URL races in a R34 ftw.

MW and Carbon are my favourites, though I don't actually have Carbon…but I want it. Badly.

i need help :( i need a foolproof 650pp setup to beat the seasonal @ Nordschleife. Please help :(

The easy car to use is the 2J, makes the competition look slow. Other than that, it's not going to be an easy race, you need to know the track and the car you're in. Pretty much any 650pp race car can win it in A-spec... look at which ones you own then check the tunes page from Adrenaline to see what's there.

Oh ok then. Use the Spec 1 CT230RR tune from RJ, get used to the handling, go on Nordshielfe, kick the GT Spec II's arse to hell and back in a 6:39.xxx lap. Job done.

Push it past its limits and it kills you?

Oh, yeah. They all do that.

The problem with the R35 is that, up to about nine-tenths it drives itself. Past that, it fights you. Try to go up to 11 and you die because every computer in the pile of crap goes stupid.

I haven't tried that one in the 650pp... Now I have another mission for when I get out of work :)

use dragon's zonda r, suspension and racing soft tires - everything else stock and you'll beat it but get a challenge out of it too, the mclaren f1gtr race car was only real competition but i passed it easily on the back straight going about 10 mph faster.

No you don't. Carbon was a buggy mess on all platforms. PC might be a bit better with patches but my word, you could tell how much EA rushed with that game.
Do you guys have a preferred ride / tune for, say, the 4 hour Nürburgring enduro?
Depends, do you want a good race or an easy win?

Good race: NSX
Easy win: Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo

Completely agree :D it's not so dangerous untuned too, considering it doesn't have 950bhp and a good 750 or so lb.ft of torque :D

And I'd recommend using my Python tune on an ACR with racing hards and only a supercharger fitted.

PC wasn't any better. The graphics were terrible (why are my tires all glowy???) and the whole game was just....meh. I agree that everything after Pro Street has been crap, especially Undercover. Most Wanted is still one I go back to and I wish they would re-release Porsche Unleashed or do something similar with other makes. :dopey:👍
