This thread is going to be dedicated to everyone who plays the game Rocksmith (both the original and the 2014 edition).

I think I'm currently #3 in Harmonic Heist... a lot of luck is required in that game...

Anyway, you can talk about basically anything that is related to the game (as to if it's really a good training tool for guitarists, or about favorite songs, etc.)

Discuss away!

As someone who didn't know how to play gutitar at all at first I would most definitely say yes it is a pretty good tool but I didn't find the lessons to be that much helpful to me, I've just used learn a song and learned from them.

Favorite song to play is kind of a hard one for me to choose.

It's the best tool available but the software doesn't show you strumming patterns or picking patterns. I have next to Rocksmith followed a course for a year with guitarteacher and he gave me insights in techniques, patterns. After a year I simply didn't need the teacher anymore and I progress faster with Rocksmith. The lessons are on and off in Rocksmith. There are a few that are very nice to do certainly some styles for those which I am / was not familiar with. Recently Rocksmith upgraded to the remastered edition and the improvements are welcome. Riffrepeater works better and levels can be more easily adjusted. I have so many songs I like to play that it is hard to take one favorite. I like Kansas, Boston, Tesla, Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden :D

The real cool part of Rocksmith is that it sucks you in and that it not only gives you the feeling of achievement but that it actually does give you the achievement.

That feeling when you pull off a lick, song or solo :D:bowdown: I simply love Rocksmith!

True, but I was thinking that if Ubisoft was still developing the game that you could have improv sections (in place of the solos) and upload your solos online for people to rate... learning solos note for note really isn't my thing to be honest...

Also anyone having problems with unresponsiveness as in you play a note but the game doesn't pick up on it?
