A rogue trader has carried out a massive £3.6bn fraud on one of the biggest high street banks in France - dwarfing the £600m that Briton Nick Leeson lost Barings in 1995.

Zut alors! Just imagine what you could do with £3.6 billion - you could donate almost 50p to every human being on Earth... or you could even buy a two-bedroomed house in central London for that (unfurnished).
 
If he wasn't so greedy he could have got a small fortune. Did he seriously think they wouldn't notice that amount of money disappearing? From reading article it sounds like he covered his tracks for quite a while.
