Rolex 24 Laps at Daytona - Race 2 Discussion

Yeah, it was a GTR. He was a random dude. Not a GTP guy, I don't think. I think he was most powerful and lightest by far. Let him stay because he wasn't a wrecker and there were so few of us. Also, how does next Saturday look? See if we can't drum up some more guys, and restrict it to GT cars and GTP members.

He was good no doubt......I was pushing as hard as I could.....seriously I was sweating! And he was pulling a second a lap on me! You can easily do that on HP alone at Daytona!

Where are you BTW, I noticed the Canadian Flag beside your name? I'm just East of Toronto.

Downtown Vancouver! Yeah, in the midst of equalizing the RX-8 with Joey. HP makes an immense difference on the long straights. Like seconds and seconds per lap.

EDIT: Hey all, just wanted to say that some changes to the regs for the RX-8 are on the way. If you guys can start indicating when you want to race next week that'd be great and we can get a consensus time ASAP to start pushing the race on our friends! Haha. I will also be changing regulations for the race start, and if we still have DPs some rules for the banking.

Hey guys,

Just as an aside.....this was actually my first time running online in a proper race. Only done a few open races before and its was hit or miss depending on the cars and or drivers. I really liked the specified cars and the driver quality was good too.

Anytime you guys are running a race like this, please let me know.

And speaking of time for the next race.....well it's better for me after 8pm Eastern time.......that way I don't have a 4 year old interfering and trying to honk the horn in the car I'm driving. I swear she costs me 5 seconds a lap!!!

After watching the Watkins Glen GA race this past weekend....I just realised we're missing a Mustang in GT also. I'd be willing to give it a shot to make one up if you like?

Let me know......maybe we can work on it together?

I'd be glad to have one, find it to be a real struggle to equalize. Of course, my testing varied from Daytona, to Laguna, to Deep Forrest and Cote d'Azur, and it's handling is really frustrating. Of course, if we run it strictly at Daytona it should be fine. Perhaps if you build one that you think would be competitive we could do some testing, and I'll bring the Stang that I didn't care for and see if we can't make it work.

Also, I have a 430 Scuderia a la the 430 Challenge cars that have run at the 24 the last couple years that we can add as well.
