Rule Britannia! (UK Cars Only)

So the MGF shared foreign parts did it? No. Built on a modified Rover Metro platform, using a K-series engine built by Powertrain and all assembled in Birmingham. Same with the TF too. MGR was once owned by BMW but they were completely independant after BMW severed their ties. Lotus Elises; up until recently they all used K-series engines and are manufactured in Norfolk. Lotus has always had different parent groups but to us they're as British to us as Mounties are Canadian to you. Lotus is and always will be British in the eyes of the Brits' ! Esprit was British engineering too with a bespoke V8 fitted. As for the Lotus Carlton; i never did like Vauxhalls ;)

Your patriotism amuses me. As "British Cars", are owned, engineered, and have engines from other countries. Anywhere but Britain, especially Mclaren. 👍 Some of the best cars. lol. I don't think so. Lower tier, best cars are from Japan & Germany.

I'll keep a look out for the canadian cars thread ;)

Gutted I now support a MLS team, after all we're owned by Americans so Liverpool FC are now officially American.

Back on Topic please...............

I'll be posting my new Jag/Aston and Motorsport Elise later :)

How many Canadian car companies can I think of... hmm.... errmm.... none... so atleast the British have something to talk about

Yep!

Cool, its not a bad place tbh, I want to go to Dublin at some point but ment to be £££

Any car that was from britain will always be british to me! Vauxhalll , lotus , aston martin , jaguar , mclaren , caterham , AC Cars... etc.

Well the Escort was assembled in Dagenham and RS200's were assembled at the Reliant factory so yes, they are British!

Also when you sort your garage to show uk cars none of the focus models show up. Pretty sure they're british as well

Here are some more of my collection of British cars, I really wish more of these were Premium but at least they're in the game!

You would think so, wouldn't you? But actualy the Focus was a global car and the version that was sold in the UK was actualy assembled in Fords Spanish factory. :)

Yep, sometimes it's difficult to judge a cars true nationality these days. Are Chrysler completely American, after all mine was assembled in Canada?

... actually Chrysler are American, I'm not sure what my argument was there! :indiff:

British cars perfectly represent the British mentality (towards everything)...

They think their British and claimed to have made them but they most probably aren't, and that's coming from a British person.

Honda Civics are made in England. Does that make them any less Japanese?

Think I may end up showing some patriotism later on being a Blackpool lad you can guess what my motivation is :P TVR and Jaguar ;)

I LOVE BRITISH CARS!
I am so patriotic and i just can't help to salute a british flag or car from a vauxhall corsa to a aston one-77! all i collect is british cars , my race team are british car specialists & all i think about is british cars!

haha! Guess it's a shame that a Corsa isn't british.
