I love the 'Ring. And I WAS going to be racing, until my work schedule changed. I'll be working on Saturdays for the next three months. I'm hurting about it. So I'm going to miss Monza and Spa, two other favorites. Also Monaco, Laguna Seca. I should be back after May.
I'm going to re work the schedule for April a bit because their are conflicts with the WEC & Blancpain irl racing schedules, and the tracks of Monza, Silverstone, and maybe Spa but not the 24H one that one is in July! Anyways we are going to hit them all and some tracks twice it seems from looking at the schedule @ autosportcalender.com

-Edit> Just checked the autosport schedule and there was a conflict with WEC @ Spa & USCR @ Mazda. I looked up each race a little bit further and noticed the USCR Rd was just the continental series cars only so we can either stay with WEC or vote to go to Mazda over WEC @ Spa that weekend. There is still the Blancpain 24H of spa on calender at the end of July,

Sounds good. The good news is I'll get to race all of those tracks anyway in the CORE WEC series as they have both a Saturday and Sunday round for each race. But my championship points for this series are pretty much done. Not that I was going to be anywhere near the top anyway.

I like Spa better than Mazda too. Don't like Mazda. :)
We go to Spa no matter what so I'll add up the votes, but it's either Spa twice this year (1 day & 1 24H version) or Mazda & 1 Spa?,.

I guess I'll pick Mazda since we are going to Spa anyways and plus I just like that track,. :) Sorry T

So Joe, what about some info about Nurb Type V on march 29th or 30th?

A good lap time with these specs?
N. of laps?
Time progression and weather settings?

 Thanks

300km - 15 Laps
Time Progression 17
Weather - No weather (sunshine)
Avg lap - 8.20's (mid-pack)
Fast lap - 8.10's (podium runners)
Race start March 30th Sunday 2pm Pst | 10pm Gmt
Irl race date March 29th to March 30th
Irl race start time 3pm, but we might start at 12pm because the time progresses too night too fast. Faster than before 1st pit stop usually if we start GT6 @ 3pm. I'm hoping to time the full race this week or weekend but we will start the time of our GT6 race no sooner than 12pm, but no later then 3pm which is when the irl start time is.,

Joe I have to switch to the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 Base Model '13 (#80) because the beast is untamable :nervous:

Tyson & I will be on for sure tonight! I believe that is hella early for you Gippone, are you a morning person?

That is the problem between our "timezones":lol: You are in LA right? In PDT now.... so right now there are 8 hours between PDT and CET so I'm planning to do some early test tomorrow morning before going to work that will be around 7am for me that is 11pm for you.... I think we can make it

So... how many people are ready for sunday race? I am
driving.gif

If I may, our race starts at 2:00pm PST on Sunday the 30th.
Yes, I'm almost ready for this race. Looking forward to it.
I hope we see a good turn out. We need more drivers. To anyone looking at this forum, we welcome all driver's. :)

To be clear about timezones PST is now PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).
Daylight saving time will kick start also in Europe by the morning of March 30th.

So the correct times for sunday should be:
  • 2:00pm PDT (USA pacific)
  • 5:00pm EDT (USA atlantic)
  • 10:00pm BST (British Summer Time - London)
  • 11:00pm DST (Daylight Saving Time - Central Europe - Rome, Paris etc.)
Am I correct?

QUESTION: at 2:00pm PDT will start qualy? or race? Room opening?

just a thought but maybe posting a link to this thread in the spot race forum like 2 weeks before each event may help draw some entries

Think that is s good idea, i actually used to do that! 👍

For only racing 4 guys this round we were pretty tight up to lap 6. Had i not been on the phone arguing & driving at the same time i could of been more competitive this race at Nurburg. We usually have 7 to 9 drivers so I'm chopping this up to it being the ring for the overall turn out.

Was a very interesting race up until half race, very closed pack! I chose to do 3 stops and that made me chasing Joe and T-n-T by night was pretty exciting... too bad they both made mistakes when I was following them :(, anyway race was very intense up until the end... lap 11 and 12 I was a bit tired and started to "kiss" barriers in the end :nervous::nervous:

I hope to see more people next round in Monza :gtpflag:

Hopefully I'll make less mistakes. :)
"My G27 Wheel will be here on Monday" Good DS3 driver moving up to the good stuff. :)
Just wait till I get used to it. :)

Next round is Monza, that's pretty easy to get ready for,. 👍
Hey Race i built that link tread on the Spot Race section like you insisted. Lately you have been hitting me off with some good ideas, and if you think of anymore let me know. I looked around at some other series and yes this series is the only fully blown race series i found that's racing good distances on soft rubber and is a bit lighter chassis too. Everyone else is running the cars at 1380 & 1400 kg to balance them out and we did it at 1350kg! 👍
