Im disappointed that the safety cars have no use. And the yellow flags dont really mean anything and they often just show up for 2 seconds. It should be like yellow flag is minimum for 15 secs and if penalty system detects severe accident there should be ai safety car showing up for a lap, at least in longer races taking like 20 minutes or something.

I understand your point, but to compare GT Sport with real life motorsport a safety car in a race is not necessary. It would be a cool idea, yes, but it just makes sense with a full damage model, I think.

Good luck having a 5 lap race with less than 3 safety cars. People crash hard everytime. Not as much the drivers in front but mid pack and slower drivers.

Would work for Custom Races and GT League Endurance.

When we first watch the etiquette videos, the start of the race with Saftey car, is a nice way to keep the field bunched up,

Only time I've had close AI Tolling Starts, was when I set the field to 25meter spread and started races one after the other. The field got even tighter the more I ran races.
That may have been a fluke, I don't know, but was cool to have a close , standing start-look grid, during a rolling start.

They've been used to start races in the Best of British series, for closing up the rolling start so they have their uses. Works well and looks good too.

Likely the only real use for them, other than looking good and being available for one or two career events.

Why employ a safety car when safety is not at risk?

This game is what you make of it. I have seen a few GTP based championships use the safety cars at the start to keep the pack together and it looks awesome.

Yeah, it’s honestly just better to reset cars to the track and get on with it. People in the livestreams don’t want to watch the race needlessly slow down for extra sim value.
