I just got back from the autoshow and I have 50+ pics.:dopey: I will be editing many times.

I don't get the whole "send the super-old concept cars" idea. We get that all the time here in Omaha. We aren't a huge market for shows, I know that much. But, really, leave the old concept cars at home. We don't care. The Copperhead and Sidewinder here are just what I'm talking about. Those cars are SOOO old (1997ish), its not even funny. Not even that good looking either, if you ask me.

The only cool thing about either one, in my book, was the tires on the Sidewinder. They had a kick ass flame tread cut into them. Back then, one of the car mags did a big burnout in the car for a pic. But, the best part was what followed. The tires were so hot and sticky, that when they drove away right after the burnout, it left flame-print tire marks on the pavement. Thats bad ass.

Agreed.

But why bring back old concepts to an auto show? Are they hinting that this model may come in production (albeit in a watered-down form)?

If you consider Daimler-Benz injecting them with money, technology, world-wide market knowledge, and engineering expertise "poisoning", we can only hope more companys get "poisoned" in the near future.

I didn't see a Dodge Copperhead in any of the photos Blackbird took. However, I did see a Dodge Razor.

Anyway, I'm going on the eighth. I would send you guys some photos, but my digital camera is a real POS. I've been really looking forward to seeing & maybe sitting in the new Corvette.

It seems like this year's auto show in San Jose is better than the one last year.

Great pics, βlackbird. Very crisp and clear :)

Thanks! :) And yes it did seem alot better, it also got TV coverage.

This car got coverage, after we took pics of it. My dad is in the drivers seat and the guy that was on TV is in the passenger seat explaining all the stuff to him. If you compare where the iPOD is and where it is on TV it is in the same position.:D

Yeah San Jose is actually quite boring compared to other autoshows. There is no fancy lights and car intros. You just walk around and look at cars. That's basically it.

Sounds just like the Sacramento auto show but we get less cars.

I suppose... yeah, in person but I'd rather they have enthusiam as much as say the Japanese, geneva or North American auto shows. Just putting out a bunch of cars in a building and charging people to get in isn't any better than going down our local auto mall strip.

Well its only 10 USD according to you on aim so whats wrong with seeing a few Aston Martins or Lotus's ? I am sure you wont see that at your mall!
