Straight forward from the thread name, I've been to so many great tracks, but when asking the host who the creator is, no response and/or not their track. Ive heard some rumors here and there about a feature somewhere about viewing recent tracks in the community page but i think that`s all it is is rumors. SO, does somebody know something i don`t know about saving tracks without the knowledge of who the creator is? Thanks for reading!

They don't need to know the creator. If the host has the track saved on their account, you can download it from that account as well. You don't need to download it from the account of the creator of the track.

Sometimes though the original host has left the lobby, and in those situations it's much harder to find it. Your best bet I'd say is to take a picture of the track map and post it here on GTPlanet and ask if anyone recognize it.

By the way, what happens when you check the room settings? Does it just say "Andalusia" or "Eifel" or "Death Valley", or does it say the actual name of the track?

Ya for track it will just have "Andalusia" etc. But if a player names their track, they could only just put it in room name, no way to actually rename the track itself from saying "Andalusia" etc

Don't forget, anybody can set their track to a setting where it removes it from their public track list to be downloaded.

So, tough luck if they do not want to give it to you. People are like that.

That seems childish to me, why make a track then not share it ?
Why would you not want to show off your creative skills ?
It's almost like going nah nah nana nah I've got this track & you can't have it so ner !! lol

Some people would like credit for an original track.

A bit like my Isle of Man TT course.
But if you're confident that you've made the perfect version of a track you can take more credit knowing that it's better than all the rest.
I do anyway :)
I love creating the tracks that other people have failed to create & sharing them. And I fully appreciate the feedback I get from em aswell, because I know it's my name on that track when I see being used online :)

Mr Grumpy, how do I download your track, the Isle of Man TT course?

How do I import it to GT6?

(probably a silly question)
