i downshift just before the apex, just before releasing the brakes.

I believe New_Soul doesn't mind sliding around a bit, so his approach can work well if you like that kind of style.

I do the opposite of this. I do each downshift as soon as possible. I don't like downshifting mid-corner (although unavoidable sometimes) as I don't like the instability; too much tendency to sliding. Also I find that the engine braking works well in braking zones.

True :)

In most cases i'm waiting for the rev bump to kick in for a bit of owersteare to make the corner just how i want it.. works very well for me in tight turns..

in faster parts of the track that dose not work so well..

Hi
Had a pratice today in quick race, just to have some opponent on track. This car isn't the same as when you race online.I was on the same livery, and on spa I had a hard time going under 2:28.The car underster much more offline?Online I did a 2:26 almost every lap.

Livery changes ofline may not affect setup. try resting your setup to default in the showroom.

Did you try'd time trail ?

I don't want to start a 'tin foil hat' theory but I wonder if this is a bug in the game. I've noticed this at times too although not that often. I'd have to check but I think it was during practice for the 330 P4 event, I had a good feeling for the car, braking points, turn-in points, etc. And during the race, the car suddenly felt VERY different, it was understeering much more, braking distances were longer. I thought I was going crazy--like I had been practicing with the wrong car. But in this case, I had the opposite problem where the car felt better off-line.

Perhaps some of the values from setup changes stick under some conditions even though the screen shows default.

had a few races with this car , understeers a bit . and it sounds like the gearbox is gonna fall out when changing gear.
i noticed a few people from this forum online and you are quite right jjaisli there are some real quick racers here.
i suppose my goal will be to top the wheel user podium,

whats in the picnic basket

I'm shocked how this game is different from my first approach before first patch was released. I need to lot of practice to get back on racing seat in this game. Shift make my racing skill completely sleepy, but this is so much better now. Probably i will not participate in this Sunday race, i need much more practice, but in next one i might be satisfied enough from my driving to not to make the fool out myself :)

Hi guys
Just did a test of the video-cam
Just 3 laps at vallelunga (wet)

Any comment if video quality is enough.Or should it be in higher res.

Nice to see I'm not the only one still using a 4:3 TV.

Quality is difficult to judge as long as there are no other drivers in front of you. Higher resolution or bitrate are always appreciated :).

Henrik--the quality could be better but it's perfectly sufficient for a race recap. However, for some reason the video is in 4:3. Can you change it?

As for everybody else, a 1:43 on the first 'flying' lap, in the wet, with no assists, with no setup changes, should be a warning. :scared: Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

That's easy for me, in full reverse only using in-cars rear view mirror, after my 25th beer at the picnic with Frank :sly:

Well ... I am very sad to say this but I just got the mrs. info that we want to go somewhere sunday evening (wasn't really informed where is that but there's definitely somewhere we want to go, according to my wife :dopey: )

Truth is I don't touch the PS3 for a long time, so I'm completely out of practise and even more than last time I raced in SCC, against Jeff, losing about 2 seconds per lap to him.

Anyway, I have no problem with race positions as long as I have fun so ... if "we" change our minds maybe I will show up after all. But, Jeff, don't reserve me a slot.

So, the Mrs. let you know that you want to go somewhere on Sunday... isn't that typicall on women? What would our lifes be without them to keep us reminding of stuff that we wish so bad to do, and that we don't even realize...

yeah, yeah ... this is almost a private joke for bullie and arvore to understand, but I'd say that when you are married to a portuguese woman from a region called Ribatejo ... you can even be like this ...

And she will face you ... so if she says I want to go somewhere ... she's right of course ... as always ... :dopey:

:nervous: I'm imagining your wife mark you up with some red-hot branding irons...

"So, Sunday no racing, we're going to that place that you look forward to go, even though you don't know it!"

"But... but... Jeff's helding the last event and..."

"*SPLASH* *SPLASH* (sound of the whip) Don't answer back! You REALLY want to go on Sunday to that place! *SPLASH* You're simply unaware of it (yet) my love *SPLASH*"

(now the Mrs. take the branding iron, red-hot, from being on the kitchen's stove for the last couple of hours)

"Take off your shirt!"

"AAAHHHHHH!!!!! (Mario's agonizing screams of pain - I could hear them at my home)"

Women... you got to love them (or you will face the consequences...):nervous:
